Biergarten is a favorite restaurant and a lot of fun. We will be there again in May!

I would say Teppen Edo. I went to both last week, and both were enjoyable experiences, but I decide last week that I am done with Disney buffets. I just think the food is better at the family style and Al a carte restaurants. Even at Chef Mickey's I was not thrilled with the food.

I voted Biergarten because we have THREE Japanese steak houses within 10 miles of our home, but no place that has a geniune Oompah band every night.

I agree, I love going to Japanese steakhouses, but they are a dime a dozen. But a good German Biergarten, non of those around here. It is a must on every trip. Our kids, not picky, love it too. But there is plenty for picky eaters. They had mac and cheese, soup, salad bar, carving station, lots of plain stuff, just don't put the sauces on it. The band is great and it is a very unique atmosphere.

I can't help out with this thread, I haven't bee to the Biergarten in twenty years and I've never been to the new Teppan Edo. I just found it odd that my reservations for Wednesday the 18th are for Biergarten (lunch) and Teppan Edo (dinner).

Is there counter service near Biergarten where you can get German food?

The German CS is really limited, but it's located just outside of the entrance to the Biergarten.

I was going to say the same thing other posters have mentioned that we have lots of Japanese Steakhouses around here. They are great fun, but nothing unique to Disney. If you don't have them near you, you should do Teppen Edo; it's great fun and a real experience.

Never been to Biergarten so can't speak. And yes you can go to Hibachi dining anywhere but you can never go to one like Teppen Edo. It doesn't compare to the ones at home. This is a must do for us on every trip. It's good food & fun.
