Oh, what horrible news! It's a devastating and painful condition. I truly hope your furbaby is spared the worst of the disease.
Thank you everyone! I know the power of pixie dust and positive thinking. We did get a bit of "good-ish" news. He does seem to be mildy afflicted at this point in time. Not to say it couldn't get worse, but the neurologist said he's done growing now and we have every chance of him being mostly fine as we do of him deteriorating.
After speaking to her, my breeder offered me a new puppy, but that was almost like saying you'd trade a sick child in for a different healthy one. Unthinkable. I know it isn't her fault and she was just as devasted as I was. Her facilities are top rate and she's extremely careful. She'll be notifiying all owners of pups from that litter and asking for updates on all her pups.
Cody was special to her too because he was destined to go to her brother, who passed away suddenly. She was very glad to place Cody with us because we live very nearby and we send pics all the time.
