I also have a few recipies for high protien pancakes and orange carrot muffins

Are you talking about Big train brand foods? I dont care for their pancakes but LOVE LOVE their peanut butter cookies!!! :cloud9:

I have made pancakes with protein powder before ( Protein delight works good with pancakes) but I tolerate it... not my fav by far

The pancakes and muffins recipes are from my personal trainer and I am not 100% sure where they came from...The carrot and apple muffins are made from oats, all bran cereal and protien powder (milk, eggs, honey, etc) and the pancakes are oatmeal, wheat flour and protien powder....The muffins have 12g of protien per serving and the panckes have 16g...They are both okay...Muffins are better...I would like that micellar stuff if it makes me full...That is the worst time for me (at night after my kids go to bed)! That is when the bad stuff comes out because no one is there to say, "can I have a bite?"

Big Train makes several muffins and cookie type baking items. They even make brownies. You have to be careful when cooking protein powders. Most products when you cook...you cook the protein out of the item. Protein powders don't stand up to heat very well and usually break down.

Edit to add:
I found this article that explains micellar milk a bit better
Micellar Casein Info And Products
Micellar casein, an extremely slow digesting and rich protein source that continues to feed your muscles long after whey proteins have dropped off. In fact, studies with this undenatured form of isolated casein protein (Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A 1997 Dec 23;94(26):14930-5) have demonstrated it to sustain steady amino acid elevations for an incredible 7 hours. It was shown to offer a strong anti-catabolic effect not noticed with fast digesting whey protein, and actually fostered a much more positive overall net protein balance in comparison. While whey protein may increase protein synthesis to a very high degree, higher than casein, scientists are now recognizing that micellar casein is much more important in preventing muscle breakdown. In fact, additional research is demonstrating that the slow and sustained release of amino acids from micellar casein can cause a 'timed release' trickle of amino acids into the bloodstream which can last for as many as 7 full hours after ingestion.Micellar casein is the natural, undenatured form of casein found in milk. It is separated from milk by means of ultrafiltration, without the use of chemicals, which increases the amount of bioactive milk peptides that support immune function as well as enhance muscle growth. A property of micellar casein is that it may have the ability to form a "gel" in the gut. This provides a steady release of amino acids into the blood stream, which makes it an excellent choice for a long lasting anti-catabolic protein.

watch...with my luck I have been choking down pancakes with no protien!:rotfl2: That would stink...

You would not be the first to choke down bad protein

Another REALLY good protein (again pricey and heavy on shipping as its ready to drink) is acheiv one. They taste just like starbucks iced latte's but when you have them shipped, they are glass bottles and can be pricey. They do have 20 grams of protein :thumbsup2

Kelly - Welcome home, your children are beautiful. I love your sons mouth in picture from cali grill with the dessert sushi...too cute!!!

My DS's confirmation was beautiful, I am so proud!!! He looked so old in his suit and tie. My Dh kept saying the next time is his wedding...I wanted to throw up!!!:scared1:

Protein drink...have you tried EAS AdvantEDGE Carb control ready to drink shakes? They are 110 calories, 17g protein, 4g carbs (2 fiber, 0 sugar) and they taste ok...much better than most protein drinks. They are the only ones that don't make me gag.
As far as other protein...you all have dirty minds. :rotfl:

good morning....I am sitting here waiting for my W/D. Jojo is giving me the business and she is home. I never know. She doesn't like school so I always suspect that's the real issue, but I don't want her to go and feel icky and me stuck here waiting and not be able to pick her up.

Kelly, I was just razzing ya:) ....it just reminded me of the "Vomit supporter" incident.:rotfl:

Hey, Praline etc....I wanted to explain about SL and RPC....and I am not going to touch it over on the GF thread due to some less than friendly presence:sad2: ...this is the TRUTH from CMs - NOT MY OPINION.....here goes and take it for what it's worth, but this is how it is - so I've been TOLD BY GF CMs.... In SL there are often a lot of people that were upgraded & didn't pay for SL and probably have never stayed in a club level before. Not so many in RPC - whiere upgrades rarely happen & you have to be a "butt kisser" (jK) to get that upgrade:rotfl: . There are a lot of business travelers and really wealthy people in RPC...I mean filthy rich people.... THEY (GF CMs) have told me this (not about being a butt kisser:laughing: )and also told me that many of these upgraded SL guests do not know how to behave in SL....(now not to say money buys class AT ALL God knows it doesn't) but these upgrades hoard things - it's FREE let's take all we can get mentality - NOT ALL, but it happens a lot - enough that the concierge CMs notice it. ALSO, there are a lot more families in SL and they DO feel like the food/snacks/drinks is something that will make up for the cost of concierge and they stick around for the food and make sure to make use of it and/or bring things to their room to save for later, where as in RPC other than Bfast there is nobody around usually...just us.:rotfl: :rotfl: We aren't around too much during the day usually, but if we take a park break we go to the lounge to hang. I cannot tell you how many times in the afternoons and evenings we've been the ONLY people in the lounge. :thumbsup2 The food is always plentiful because nobody's around. The staff always replaces anything that is lookind skimpy on the trays, too. (and you know we have to go during BUSY seassons;) ) I don't think they are as on top of it in SL - or the guests take more or they just don't have the same amt of food....honestly not sure, but the CMs told me. That is the TRUTH not my opinion, but from what I have been TOLD. Also, many of the CMs do not like to work SL for these same reasons. If you're not happy you just have to speak up and I know you will, Praline!!:thumbsup2 I don't want to sound like a SL downer...and I reread this and I do - but I am NOT! ....I am sorry to sound negative, because a LOT of people have WONDERFUL times in SL...but I am sick of that unfriendly presence over on the GF thread. Maybe things have changed....if I wanted concierge at GF and RPC wasn't available I would definitely stay SL. Same good service, same food, just a diff location.

My son was in a wedding this last fall and I got that same feeling! I cried when he walked down the aisle with the flower girl because I had a flash forward to him getting married and me loosing my baby boy

Now for his true colors:
l_e39f8d40cd989223c3e8a4d149b8b928.jpg

By the way, his eyes are normal but he's not! HA! HE kept rolling one eye in during the pictures and ruing the shots, the bride told me there was not one shot of him looking "normal"

Mandy, those pics are precious.:goodvibes I LOVE that second one!!:rotfl:

I can't wait to lose my "baby boy". Somebody take him, please.:headache:

Just wait. :sad2: Enjoy him while you can.:thumbsup2

He made this face in every picture:rotfl:

The bride showed me the wedding pictures and we (bride included) thought it was hilarious...... I apologized at first but then she told me her Hubby and her couldn't stop laughing when they got the proofs back. Her mom on the other hand....... My son "ruined" the day! I guess if their marriage fails it's his fault:rotfl:

OK girls, I've got big news! DH said last night it would be nice to stay at the GF for our 10th anniversary! :cool1: It's a year and a half away but I want to plan it all now!

So, is there a room that is a step above a GV King with out being in concierge? I'm an on the go girl and can't stand the thought of hanging around the hotel and I would feel like I needed to if I were in concierge..... Kinda like the people Channing's talking about :rotfl:
