We also do a lot of character meals because of the kids. Not the best food but it keeps them happy and then we do not have to wait in line at the parks.

We may have to arrive on Christmas day due to family issues. We will only have 3 nights at the GF and then we move over to the BCV to meet family and friends. I am either thinking 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's or a nicer dinner at Narocees for Xmas night. I know the girls will be tired from the travel and extra excited. What do you guys think? I was going to do a fireworks cruise that night but I am too worried it is going to be cold out there on the water. We may then go over and do a sleigh ride at the WL.

Any thoughts?

I haven't started thinking planning for our Christmas trip because I have no idea what to do!! Never been there before at Christmas and worried abotu where I should eat. Was also going to look into a cruise but i too think it might be too cold or windy especially for our little ones.
Don't know if we should eat somehwere Christmas morning or open presents in the room. Or say presents for later in afternoon when the parks are packed. Narcoossees sounds nice (how many letter s, e and o are in that word anyway)

Where is Yak and Yeti at?

Looks good to me. You have got a lot of great places. I am going back and forth on which plan to do. Are you doing the dining plan in May?

Have you done the Candlelight Processional before?

Yak and Yeti is in Asia in AK

We are on Basic DDP in May. We ALWAYS do dining. For us WDW is just as much about eating as it is rides :goodvibes

We did CP at Le Cellier back in 2006. But it poured rain that night, so NO ONE went (except us!) :rotfl: I was up at 6:58am to get that ADR since I wanted it on my birthday (IL's took DS to WCC with the rest of the crew)

Mandy: I'll remember to try the Jungle Juice! And because of you, I will look for safari themed outfits for the boys!:goodvibes

Kristin: Theres been some rumors that LTT will not be offering lunch starting in the fall. Check out the restaurant thread for more info.

We're off to go PA for the weekend. Have a great weekend! Talk to you all on Monday.

And ladies, with Mr. Mike around, please try to behave and NOT think of the cabana boys!:rotfl2:

1900 is the best character buffet IMO....
They had this tomatoe salad thingie.... it was YUMMY... cant for the life of me remember the name of it but it had tons of cherry tomatoes in it...

The funniest thing was the strawberry soup. I remembered reading about the strawberry soup here so i had the kids each get a small bowl to try it.... THEY REFUSED TO EVEN TRY IT :rotfl2: they thought I was trying to trick them into eating something GROSS :rotfl2: They LOVE strawberries but thought mom was making stuff up when I told them it was strawberry soup

Holy crinkles, I love LTT!! I've always had a good time there. I LOVE the salad and that sweet butter and everything else.

The salad is so good I kept asking for more and the server said 'how about i bring out the main dshes and if you still want more sald i'll bring it out after'
uhhh no. Bring me more salad NOW!!! i said with a smile. :rotfl:

Yeah, that was the best part of the meal :thumbsup2 We also had a cake delievered there from the MK Bakery

We went to 1900PF last August when the GFC was hosting it. We REALLY enjoyed it! That soup was to die for!!!

We like LTT a lot for lunch. We always make that our first meal of the trip. We haven't ever eaten there for dinner, as it looks nasty to me and I have heard many bad reviews.

I guess once I have children and we take them to Disney I will get to eat at all the nasty charachter meals for my little princes or princesses :)

Although, we DID enjoy CP from breakfast.

Mike if you do the presents in the morning, I bet you could set up something really nice for breakfast with PD!!!!!!

Or in the event you want to open gifts in the evening... maybe a small PD buffet style meal .... lots of finger foods.... so the kids and you guys can munch while opening gifts!

I have been eating at CP for breakfast the first morning of our trip since my honeymoon!! It is OUR WDW tradition :goodvibes

OK!! Home from shopping and I am trying catch up on these posts.

Hello Mr. Mike!!! I never been there at Christmas either, but I would love to. Its just too hard with School and family for the holidays!!

WDW is definitely about the eating to us too. Its funny that you said it poured in 2006 when you went to Le Cellier. It rained on us 2006 and 2007, my family thinks that its tradition. I hate it!!!

There are just so many places that we love and not seeing them wouldn't be same.

I really enjoyed it when I went in October with my dad. BF thinks the charachters are "creepy" :confused3 I'm sure he will change his tune when our kids say "but daddy..." :goodvibes

I'll be gone by 6pm eastern so you gals can go crazy after that

That Looks like a great cake Kristen. They delivered it from the MK bakery? Was that easy to arrange?

We do dining each time also because I love to eat (and have mommy drinks;) We are not doing it for the days at the GF because we would have to book a package. We will pay OOP for the first three nights and plan on having snacks since we are staying in the SL. We will then move over to the BCV and then we will either do regular dining or deluxe. (maybe I should do deluxe since we have to pay for our VIP Guide's lunch!) Plus the girls are going to want to eat with Cindy at the castle and I want to try Hoop Dee Doo. (even though I do not like the menu!)

I think we will do 1900 Park Fare Xmas night and have the little glass slipper cakes deliverd for the girls. Then I will try for the sleigh ride.

Two great ideas! thanks I think i like the evening one more since I assume it will be packed everywhere else. Might be a great way to end the day If we can convince the kids to wait until evening.

Back then, you called the Bakery direct to arrange delievery to a MK restaurant. Now there is a whole cake hotline to call (407-827-2253 ). When we checked in at LTT, I told the hostess and our server once we got to the table (discreetly). He ran back to the kitchen to confirm it was there and came back moments later with a wink and a nod. It was a 8" vanilla cake with vanilla frosting (3 layers) The edble image was probably fondant (we peeled it off our piece). It was $25 for the cake and $7 for the image (but they forgot to charge me for the image!!) I said the cake type I wanted, that I wanted Mickey and a Christmas theme and they did the rest! The look on DS's face when the cake and Minnie Mouse came out was priceless!! He believed with all his heart that Mickey sent it to him

I guess I am the only one on this thread who HATES CP!!!

I mean when I walk past it I get a full body shutter :rotfl2:

BF is right there with you. He thinks that "there is something disturbing about eating with Pooh" :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
