Good morning gals- Trying to catch up on the thread. Spent my afternoon buying things on ebay- Loved the Scraps from Heaven lady! Thanks Channing.

Pretty down in the dumps today. One of our friends passed away this weekend after a fight with cancer. He was 48. We had the visitation last night and it was so sad. I felt so sorry for his wife. Even though she had time to prepare....I do not think you ever prepare. Anyway-sorry for the sad post. Just needed to vent a little. This was the first visitation I have been to since my dad passed away last August. I shook the entire time. I am so glad I have my faith. I do not know how people get through things like this without it.

Good thing Kelly is coming back. Hope she posts some pics.

Maybe we have been too chatty and she will miss the cabana boy day. Otherwise~ Brook and Kristan...you are in sooo much trouble!!

Mr. Mike- Hope you have a good time!!

The sun is shining:cool1:

Have a nice day everyone- Vanessa

Someones getting on the monorail and hearing

:wizard:

So sorry to hear about your friend!!!

 Thoughts to you Vanessa

Vanessa

Cancer sucks! I have several young friends battling right now. One of my dearest friends (we had our sons a few day a part and they are BFF) son was diagnosed with cancer in 06', right after his 4th birthday. We have a HUGE Relay for Life team that I head up in his honor! It's so touching/heart breaking seeing a 5 year old wearing a small adult tee that says "survivor" during the Survivors lap. :guilty:

Thanks guys! I appreciate it. We have dealt with a lot of loss in our small community over the last two years. It is soo hard and very hard to understand. Thanks again!:)

oh no... Kelly comes home today!!!
We need to clean this pig sty up before she gets here!

:::quickly shoving the bottles of chardonnay under the bed:::

Oh for goodness sakes Kristin, would you take the lamp shade off of your head :sad2:

HUH?! (Stumbles out from behind the drapes) You talkin' to me?!

Vanessa- sorry about your friend :grouphug:

I don't think Mike et al leave until tomorrow (they are just more on the ball about apcking than I am!!!)

Let's see... Right now someone is waiting in line to ride Dumbo (even though the posted wait time says 45 minutes!) Mom and Dad are angry at the wait, but the children are standing there beaming with anticipation, oblivious to long they have been waiting :cloud9:

That reminds me of a time when we were in line for Dumbo. This family had their three year old or so child along with him and he was throwing a fit during the entire wait. The parents were getting very frustrated. All at once the dad looks at the mom and says "Remember....this is supposed to be the Hap, Hap, Happiest place on earth! " I cracked up.

We took DS on his first trip when he was 2 years and 4 months old. If we were waiting for something that he DIDN'T want to do (i.e. eat dinner at Le Cellier :rotfl: ) he was fussy. But if he wanted to do it, he had ALL the patience in the world. This held true for Dumbo (20 minute wait), any character autograph line (he would stand their so patiently with his little book clutched in his hand), IASW etc. :cloud9: Why can't they still little forever!!!

I hope my girls never outgrow the magicprincess:

Right now someone just got turned away from the Crystal Palace because they did not realize they had to make their reservations 6 months ago. As they turn around, they bet bumped into by a crazy lady reading her Disney touring spreadsheet.:)

Marci~ I have to say that I had a traumatic hair cut in the 6th grade and I grew my hair out and had long hair, all one length until 5 years ago. My best friend, who had helped me deal with a difficult pregnancy, childbirth, and then severe depression, made me go have a beauty day with her and it changed my life. I was hooked on trying new things! I love having curly hair and I try to keep very current hairstyles now and my old stylist was awesome at adapting them to work with my hair. I used a new girl Saturday and I though she had ruined my hair but all was well! I say go fro a new style, then blame me if you hate it! :rotfl:

Edit to add: I am so jealous of your little DL trip, I would give anything to go see Walt's first park! Yay for you!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

It was a nice trip, even though I didn't hardly get in the parks. Work is work, so it was nice to do it with the Disney touch. I will say, it was extremely hard to go to the convention center for meetings instead of walking the direction the families were with huge smiles in anticipation of their fun days!

My DH is a dork~ just had to mention this :rotfl2:

OKAY I sent him to the store to get me some tylenol as I have a sinus headach. Well he comes back with 2 types of tylenol... the regular old kind and the new rapid release kind. He tells me he wasn't sure which one I wanted...
I looked at the price and both were about the same... a few pennies off...
SO I look at him and well... if you have ever Watched Bill Engvall... gave him a sign
Oh yeah I would much rather use the slow release stuff so my headache can stick with me longer... I just love having to wait another 45 minutes for it to kick in :dance3:

:rotfl: "Here's your sign!"

Thanks!! I will try to make it over though...what better way to start a vacation to the GF that stopping in this thread :thumbsup2

We really are just about packed...I just hope it doesn't continue to rain tomorrow... my dog has a playdate scheduled...i feel guilty about the kennel.

All i have to do is pack up the camera, and APs and money.

Oh yeah i have to find out if JetBlue is still giving out the headsets. I heard they were stopping that soon.

Have a fantastic trip, Mr. and Mrs. Mike and family!

Right now, someone is waking up at the GF to the sound of the train whistle, then opening their drapes to see the castle/monorail/gardens/lagoon!:)
(of course they're a little late for rope drop!)

One of my favorites! I really remember this from a number of trips when we used to stay in Conch. :goodvibes

Have a nice day everyone- Vanessa

Vanessa-- I lost my Mom 17 months ago, and I have had a much harder time going to visitations/services and just being more emotional in general. One of my Mom's good friends has just stopped treatment for what started out as breast cancer, and won't be here much longer. I ache for her daughter (also a good friend of mine) because I know what she is going through. :grouphug: to you and to the family of your friend.

I better get back to work. I had to take the boys to school (DH had to go to Odessa for the day for work), so I didn't make it in at my normal 6:30 time and feel so behind.

Have a great day everyone!

You girls are killing me with Disney sights and sounds!!! I WANT TO GO!!!!!

Well, today is my DS's (Robert) confirmation!! I can't believe it, he's getting so big. I was hoping to say hi to Kelly upon her arrival, but we have to start to get ready.

Tommorow morning is my last morning to call for cabana TG!!!!

To Vanessa and Marcij - my sympathies to both you, we just lost my FIL to cancer 2 months ago after only 4 months of him being ill. They say time heals all wounds, I'll let you know!:grouphug:

This will be Savannah's 4th time to Disney (once as a baby, once when she was 3, this past Feb and our future trip in June)

I have yet to get her on that dang blasted freakin ride :rotfl2: :rotfl2: this past Feb the line was a 2 hour wait ... she looked at me, raised her eyebrows and said, "I don't think soooo..."

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

At least one of us has some common sense

I hope my girls never outgrow the magic

This is why I want this trip to be about the magic and not the rides... savannah is on that thresh hold of not "believing" anymore :sad1:

Right at this moment someone is standing in line for Peter Pan wishing they were in the pool at the GF instead of standing in that boring line :rotfl2:

Hi, all....I was out shopping and just had to stop in and see if you were all behaving or if I had to call a mod.:rotfl:

Looks good!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Well......I got something in the mail that will make you all envious.:goodvibes (probably not, haha, but it's kinda cool...just wish I knew how to do it:rolleyes: - good thing DH comes home tonight) It is a THANK YOU FOR YOUR BUSINESS postcard from the GF and Norm Noble. ......no code or discount....BUT it has some cool (I think:confused3 ) free Disney desktop background and icons.

That stupid bird is still banging himself info our windows. What a freak. He is upstairs then down. I wish he'd just smash himself too hard and be done with it already.

I am looking forward to hearing from Kelly. I wasn't a trouble maker here, though. :rotfl: I stayed true to my Amish ways.:thumbsup2

PS....My kids stopped believing a long time ago....Jojo noticed the character's heads were zippered on and that was the end......I miss the old days though - big time. Good luck with keeping them believing. Time goes so fast....I still remember Zack walking around the MK wiht his Mickey fanny pack and his Donald pez and his folding brush (weird, but he liked the way it folded in and out) inside....all his Disney gear and his WDW shirt and baseball cap. Kinda sad.....*sigh*

Talk to ya later - I need to go for a walk before I eat Oreos.

:)

OK, Brook, here is they key to Fantasyland without lines:

You have to get there when the park opens. Go to Dumbo first, then Peter Pan and then Winnie the Pooh... you will have those 3 done in 15 minutes!!! We can get through all of Fantasyland (sans Philharmagic) and have a FP for Buzz and be heading to Toontown as it opens at 10am to hit the characters without a wait!! :thumbsup2
