Brook- That sounds awesome. (the part about Jack and the cabana:lmao: )
My husband will want to be meeting Jasmine in the cabana. A few years ago we had the girls at the Princess Breakfast at Epcot. My husband was taking pictures and we got home and I got them all developed (before digital) and there was several of Jamine's chest (ONLY!!) He said that he must have messed something up with the camera...but I am not that stupid.

Did you do 6 hours at each park or more and did you rent the vehicle for a small amount of $125.00 per day. This way you do not have to pay for the cab. What does a cab run from the parks and back??

Linda, I am with you....it's kind of been there done that -and as much as I love going to wDW, I'd like somebody else to deal with the planning. That part is not thrilling to me at all anymroe. I feel burned out. And then to have to make the ADRs 180 days in advance!!! UGH. I just talked to a CM and she booked a few things for me. I am just not into it even for July coming up quickly. I wish we could just leave it along and be more spontaneous.

Praline - that is awesome! I am glad for you!!! Now maybe I will have to consider going over to the dark side, too. hahaha......when do you get back?? I hope there's time in there for me to change my mind and join the dummie club.:rotfl: I don't think it would be for us, though.....it just still seems awkward...but we're kind of reserved unless it's just us.;)

That stupid bird is still throwing himself at my windows!!!! ALL DAY LONG!!! Go away, bird!:rotfl:

Kristin, bummer about the shorts!!!! I hate when that happens!!!!!:headache:

I usually just buy myself a cute spiral calendar from B&N and make my plans in that little book....last time I bought a cute little pocket Vera B notebook and used that.;) I am a low maintenance planner.:)

Mandy, thanks for the neat pics. That is great you get to go to the live podcast! I love that DIs unplugged -its' my favorite!!!! I have been looking for this week's on Itunes....it's not there?!?!?:confused3

I am no penny picnher when it comes to Disney but I do try to get the most magic for my buck... so I did some brain storming on the car thing...
It is $125 for the day BUT it is also the guide's time. So you figure if she meets you at the resort, the drive to DHS and then walking and getting inside the park... that's an hour of her being on the clock... $120. Same goes for the trip home. I decided to take the $15 cab ride for DHS and meet her at guest services. That way as soon as we meet up we can get the most out of her being on the clock :rotfl: RUN WOMAN RUN!!!! JUST KIDDING...well sort of :lmao:

As to the MK day. We have early ressies for breakfast in the castle. she is going to meet us at the castle as soon as our breakfast is over... 9am. I am just going to take the monoail over.

I booked 6 hours. The thing is... if you want her longer you can have her longer... just let her know. She can stay with us all day if we need her :rotfl:
This way if I am not THRILLED with the service I can say bye bye at the 6 hour mark but if I am REALLY thrilled with the service and am having the time of my life... I can add on a few hours on the spot.

Channing.. that is the cool thing about this service.... you tell them all about your family and what you want for a guide and they match you perfect. They even have guides who specialize in romantic park visits... where they set up the most romantic moments ... places to dine.... rides... and the most romatic spots for parades and fireworks and they completely blend into the background. They understand the 3rd wheel is not cool in those cases. :hippie:
They have several guides and they match you with what they think would be best for your family.

On our mother daughter trip I wanted someone who could entertain and make the day extra special for Savannah. I wanted ...as I told them an Alice in Wonderland wanna bee :rotfl:
I did NOT want a baby sitter. I want to be able to ENJOY my daughter while she is having the time of her life!!!
In our case... i wanted a guide who was a bit on the silly side and was good with kids.... Savannah can be a bit shy at first but once you get her laughing she warms up quickly! If we had a stuffy guide she would be shy all day long. You EXPLAIN your group and they match the guide who is best for your group. I am sure your family... who is all older than Savannah... they would match you with someone very different.

Edit to add.... they make the spontanious day POSSIBLE!!!!! I was told if we changed our mind about dining to let the guide KNOW that day and she will make any of our dining times or places possible. WOW!!! no ADRS a 180 days out wooohooo and I can change THAT day if I want to? WOW

Mandy and Praline....I don't get it....is that faux tan like make up?? Does it wash off?? Or does it do what other self tanners do??

What?? I don't understand what you do with that rock?:confused3 :rotfl:

Dumb and clueless here.:rotfl:

I just called my GF concierge and she is going to help me get stuff booked. I feel better now.....did you know - on July 4 at Cali Grille, they have this special dinner/fireworks viewing package (window seats are by lottery!) where it's $210 per person!!! :scared1: PLEASE....and it's almost full!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: Disney is RAKING in the dough.

I just miss the days when you could walk up to a restaurant and ask if there were openings AND THERE WERE!!!!:goodvibes Of course if you're paying them all that moolah to be a VIP, they should be able to get you in any place last minute!!:thumbsup2 And you will be at the front of the lines often. We've seen it happen. Enjoy! sounds like a fun splurge. :goodvibes I can't see paying that much and I know DH wouldn't go for it.:sad2: We have been there too many times. I will ask my family though and see what the consensus is. You never know....

Happy planning!!!

:)

See what you do Channing is do an ALL girl trip and forget to mention to dear old hubby that you booked the VIP tour.... hypothetically speaking :rolleyes1

Evening GF Gals...
Shelli~you look wonderful! :yay:
Fishy&2Guppies~tell me more about your margarita maker! You have peaked my interest

Hey girls, once again I just can't keep up with all the posts!!!:goodvibes :rotfl: :goodvibes :rotfl:

Shelli you look great, Praline I've seen your photos before and as always you look great too!!

Channing - I am glad your feeling better!!! I love all the ressies!!!

SleepingUgly - I am a major Type A personality!!!! So I love the control and I love that I get control 180 days before my trip!!!

My margarita maker is called the Margaritaville and I got it at Williams and Sonoma it is one of the Jimmy Buffet machines. You just put your mix in the blender part and ice in the top and push the button and it knows exactly how much ice to shave and how long to blend it, and it just turns off when you are done. They turn out just like the margarita's that come out of those big slushie machines that you see in bars. We have been making other kinds of drinks and I also make the kids fruit slushies with it.

I am so excited! DH just agreed to Mother's Day weekend trip to WDW. We are able to drive down... GF does not have availability for Thursday night, only Fri. and Sat.
We could stay at YC all 3 nights, or at CR for 1st nite, followed by 2 nights at GF which is where I really want to be. Should I go for the latter and try out a new room at CR for the first time plus get my GF fix? Or since it is such a short trip should we go with YC, which we have never tried? I have stayed twice at BC and liked it fine, especially the proximity to Epcot, but I'm pretty neautral on the actual resort.
OPINIONS PLEASE!

Well what park are you going to be at the most?
If MK go with the monorail resorts but if Epcot... stick with the Epcot resorts. I like all the ones you spoke of ... of course the GF is my fav but it really depends what your planning on doing while there.

Oh its official my SIL is knocked up :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
She went to the doc today and it has been confirmed.. those home test don't lie :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Why am I laughing so hard?!?! Well those who remember my Feb trip... I went to Disney to meet my brand new adopted niece from Guatamala :rotfl: :rotfl:
Along with my adopted nephew who JUST turned 4 this month :rotfl: :lmao:
SOOOOOOO my poor brother and SIL who wanted kids for 12 years and couldn't have them will now resemble the little old lady who lived in a shoe :rolleyes1
I am happy for them... and they are happy just worried about the timing. :scared:
God really does have a sense of humor!!!!!
My brother told me he is going to be 80 and changing diapers :rotfl:
Their fertility problems were from BOTH and they had 2 specialist and 4 OBGYN docs tell them there was NO WAY they were going to concieve... oops I guess they were wrong
So in about 7 months from now I am going to be an aunt again... which means another trip to Disney to visit :lmao:

I laughed and told them "Watch it be twins" my brother hung up the phone on me :rotfl:

Cute bag but I don't care for over the should bags. The ameribag is supposed to be arranged with compartments so it distributes the weight evenly... not everything sinks to the bottom.

I've never seen anyone with the Overland Donner on their shoulder, usually people wear it across their chest - hands free.

I think it's a great bag, it just doesn't work for me yet - maybe when I no longer have to carry diapers/wipes/sippys/extra clothes and 10 matchbox cars :rotfl:

Amazing about your SIL and brother. Isn't is amazing how often that happens??
Let's say I am going to NO parks. Would you relax and enjoy one resort for all 3 nights rather than bother with switching? I tend to think YES but I really don't want to stay at the BC or YC.
I will keep trying to see if something opens up. I'm an MK resort girl princess:

As I just posted... my brother is going to have to lug around a suitcase for a diaper bag now :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I went ahead and ordered the ameribag. I like the way its designed not to make everything bottom heavy. I don't need a huge bag but do need to bring a few things for the princess princess:

Mare, here you go! This should help with putting a face to a couple more of the pod squad!

Thats all I can find and you've already seen Kevin and Pete so that's all of um except John and I don't think an picture exist of him :rotfl:

MAndy

Thanks! Julie and Corey are such a cute couple!

That's exactly how I expected Bawb to look!

Kevin and Pete just surprised me!

What's the deal with John? He was in a relationship with Pete, he's an owner of DU and now he's with Kevin? Woman would never do something like that! Still work with an ex! :rotfl:

I hate resort hopping but thats just me. I bring a lot of luggage and hate moving it. I like to get settled into 1 place. I know many love resort hopping and its very common. It just depends if you feel like moving during your stay. I really like CR and I love love love the GF...

It is hysterical about my brother and SIL. They are a well off family so calling them "knocked up" making it seem like its a teen pregnancy was a joke. They are going to have their hands FULL!!!!!!! I can't wait:rotfl2:

I like resort hopping, assuming I have at least 3 nights at each resort. 1 night anywhere is a nightmare.
