Morning :surfweb:

I went to bed late, or early this morning, and when i finally hit the sack it began to pour and I drifted off to the sound of rain! Love it! :cloud9:

I am trying to decide if I want to have my hair cut in the same style i had or let it grow out. I read in a magazine where curly hair should not have this cut and I am thinking "have i looked bad all this time and no one told me?" I got tons of compliments when i had it cut, but it grows fast and i NEED to decided because it is driving me crazy! LOL!

I didn't!! I gained 62 pounds when I was pregnant!!! :rotfl:

WOW! Well all joking aside, you look great and I know you really work hard to stay that way! :worship:

On the school list...... that is crazy about the glitter, foil, headphones ect. When Conner went to preschool the private school had a basic supply list but it was very specific down to the brand and and dimensions for the pencil box. The teacher had us bring it all to orientation then put all the kids names on everything and on the first day of school I pointed out that his name was spelled wrong and I had to go search for a new pencil box, notebook, ect.... :headache:
Our county made supply list optional for public schools. The teachers put them out but only as a suggestion for the parents and are not allowed to hand them to the parents, they have to just put a stack out and hope the parents see them or ask. Most teacher i know end up spending hundreds on the supply's. :sad2: WRONG, IMHO!

Have a great day!
M

Good Morning All!!

Lesley I bet there were lots of calories consumed last night with all of that oreo talk:rotfl: I know the Poly thread here has lots of good info but I think the most comprehensive Poly site is by Tikiman. It has maps and descriptions on each longhouse and alot of other info...Have you started to pack yet??

Tikiman's site is down indefinitely! I am bummed! We haven't started packing AT ALL. I am a last minute type of gal. hehe!

I do wand to add that Toontown does not open till 10 and if you get there early you can get on the Barnstormer with Goofy! I know Kelly did this and we have it on our to do list for our next visit to the MK! I think you have to line up pretty early though like pretty much at 9!

My kids knew that someone each day gets to ride with Goofy. They wanted to wait at the toontown ropedrop but it was only 9:30 and we didn't do it.
While on the teacups around 9:40-45 we saw Goofy walk over and take the family waiting there to barnstormer. They rope stayed up and other people waited behind it.

I am such a brat for nice sheets! :rotfl: All my kids sleep on at least 400 and I sleep on a 800 :cloud9: .!

No clue about thread sheet counts... But im a guy..i can sleep standing up leaning against a wall! I've done it at work.

How are all our August trippers doing?? Excited? Packed?

Doing good! YES! no.

I am sooooooo excited! I feel like last time we were total newbies and had no idea what we were doing. Now I think we can relax more and take our time doing things! We didn't get CP, which I'm sad about but got mostly everything else! I am still hoping for a CP cancellation. He keeps asking about it so I'll have some explaining to do if we can't go :rolleyes1

How many people are you and when did you want to go? I have one for 6 people on mon the 18th for dinner that i would be happy to give to you.
I also have 2 breakfasts that I'd be happy to give up so your son could go.

i have not packed anything! I cleaned the house this afternoon.

I didnt tell many peeps but my gramps had a pacemaker put in yesterday and so far so good. Its been a crazy busy week and I am SOO GLAD its almost over.

Hope he and your family are doing better, Kelly

Kelly 3 days to go:cool1: I think it might be time to get packing!!! At least your house is clean, nothing worse than coming home to a messy house:sad2:

That what I kept telling my wife before we left last month but she started speaking some foreign language...I could only make out a few curses...:confused3

omg...I can eat a whole WHOLE package of Oreos and not even be full. :goodvibes I LOVE OREOS!!!!! THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!! I buy the reduced fat ones though.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I am NOT eating for two...I have no excuse. I just LOVE them. I made myself NOT buy them last trip to the store...I had to make myself not even go into that Oreo aisle....otherwise too much temptation. :lmao:

Chan

All this oreo talk makes me think of that dessert everyone was talking about at one time. What was it? moon pie?

cinderumbrella Just wanted to add that my kids enjoy the pool slide at the CR too and even though the pool isnt zero entry its very kid friendly lots of fountains etc.... but cant be sure about the:santa: holiday atmosphere...I'm sure you'll enjoy whatever you choose:goodvibes

My son is begging not to go the GF next week. He wants to go to the CR because we walked by the pool and he saw that slide and so wants to try it.

I just read the posts on back to school shopping. I have to agree the list is ridiculous.

I did get an AP rate for the first night of our trip ....... I can stay on points in July at the GF but I just do not think it will be the same as Christmas. (points are very high at GF during Christmas) Any advice??

:)

My son needs 5 folders, all different crazy colors. One of them has to be Teal!!! *** happened to blue, green, red, yellow and orange???

I
Kelly, BlueSkies and Herecomesthesun, Lesley, Sheli, and M and P, ooooh, you are all so close!!!

- Andrea
WOW 6 of us going? Any more? everyone going soon? Im there next week.

I'm such a trend setter, aren't I???? :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: I wish i had oreos right now!

They will have everything but the eveing service and alcohol at the Tonga buidling. :)

No alcohol!!! no suites at the Poly for me... and yes..im too lazy to walk over to Hawaii.

I have a DEE LEMA...

I can't find RPC for one day in our Christmas/new years trip...and cant find anything for the night of Jan1st.

Not wanting to check in and out and in and out....and not wanting to leave on jan 1st...

there is a 1 bedroom theme park view at the CR. but its available from 31th through the 3rd.

BUT I would still have NO rpc on the 30th meaning Id be RPC, GF theme park view for a night and then CR until jan3rd.

IF i dont change anything it is

RPC, GF theme park for a night then RPC for one more night then leave on the first.

I'm also hoping that if i stay atthe GF the whole time they would be able to help with that one night when we are there...

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Morning gals!

Kelly~ I am glad to hear all is well. :grouphug: Ron's dad had a pacemaker put in 2 years ago and does really well with it. Enjoy your vacation and let us know how you like OKW.

I spent a lot of time yesterday catching up at work and switching some ADR's. I did book BBB for Christmas Day in the afternoon at MK. I am now thinking about changing to Downtown since I know MK will be super crazy. Anyone been to MK on Christmas Day? I know the girls will love it and they have been begging but if it is super crowded and we have to wait for an hour or more for our appt...dh is gonna be CRAZY! I just am not a fan of the trip to Downtown Disney. It seems like the buses are slow and it takes forever to get a bus to go back to your resort.

Has anyone ever been to both locations? Is one better than the other?

We have an ADR at 1900 later that day so the girls will be all dressed up.

I then snagged an ADR for Christmas Eve CP package in Morocco. This was about all they had left. I have never eaten here and it does not get very good reviews. I am going to keep trying. We may end up cancelling this but I wanted to have something just in case.

I wish I would quit changing things but that is what happens when you start planning so far in advance.

I just started planning next summers trip to BCV and Vero Beach. I am pretty excited about trying Vero.

Have a good day everyone!

I just read the posts on back to school shopping. We are going tomorrow morning.:headache: I am NOT a fan of this time of year. I am sure it will take two hours to pick out shoes for both girls.

I do have a lot of the school supplies. I have to agree the list is ridiculous. Last year the teacher was extremely picky and it took me forever. This year we have an awesome teacher and her list was short and sweet. I am pretty excited since I know Lexi is gonna have a great year!

Dawn~ Good luck with the student teaching.

Kristin~ That first day of kindergarten is tough but I agree with Channing...you will LOVE it and your son is gonna love it.

I did get an AP rate for the first night of our trip saving around $200. (thanks K :thumbsup2 . I wish they would extend the rates during our trip but I know it is wishful thinking. I am still on the fence about where we are staying. I have the one bedroom reserved on points at VWL but still have to pay about $2000 out of pocket for 4 nights that I was unable to get. (Dec 30-31 are impossible at BCV and I have to pay cash on the weekend) RPC is around $5000 (plus the $1000 for the two nights at BCV) and GV at GF would be around $3000 plus the $1000 for the nights at BCV. I am just at a loss here. I do like WL and I know I would love the one bedroom at Christmas and it is the cheapest but I really had my heart set on the GF. I guess I just feel bad spending an extra $3000-$4000 when I already own DVC. I can stay on points in July at the GF but I just do not think it will be the same as Christmas. (points are very high at GF during Christmas) Any advice??

Well~ I need to get to work so I can be gone tomorrow with the girls. I am excited about school starting but also a little sad. I love having them home but they have started fighting a lot and I can tell they are getting bored.

Boy...I am chatty this morning. Talk to ya all later! V :)

Vanessa.
...i am worried about you going to MK on Christmas afternoon. It is gonna be UGLY. I have done both BBBs. The castle is TIGHT. It was tight for us in NOvember....I stood the whole time and it was a FACTORY becuase they couldn't take much time with each girl....rush em in rush em out type feel. The DTD one is much MUCH nicer....Plus you guy might like to enjoy some DTD atmosphere....I heard it's decorated really pretty for Xmas. We did DTD earlier in July and had really no issues with buses. Ya...I don't like that waterpark stop, but other than that it is fine. The BBB there is bigger, brighter, and the fairy god mothers take more time with their work. The castle Doos they made for my girls fell out later that day!! the DTD ones lasted almost a week!!! I KID YOU NOT....they slept like stones on their backs and wanted the styles to last as long as possible....:rotfl:

ALSO...my favorite CM isn't going to be at he GF over Xmas. She is going home. Good for her but bad for the GF RPC guests. That is kinda why I am not even feeling a twinge to go. I don't understand all your options...(OMG confusing) but you will have a ball no matter what. Just stay out of the MK on Christmas afternoon!!!:rotfl: It might even be closed then you'd be SOL.

Andrea
....Jojo is 8.5 and I bought her size 5 tennies!!!!! I bet she wore a 1 or higher in Kgarden.

I am excited about all you guys going soon. Since you're my Dis friends I almost feel like I am living vicariously thru you all and I am going too!!:goodvibes I know you all will come back with lots of fun stories and pics to share.:thumbsup2

OMG:sad2: ....ok...so all that Oreo talk last night and ME NOT having any in my house ON PURPOSE....so I thought:rolleyes: . Well I got totally aggravated about an issue here and went and ate 2 chips ahoy....and then thought WHAT ARE YOU DOING? You don't even like them that much!!!!!! (I said that to myself;) ) So I dug further into the pantry and came up with...Taaadaaaa...a little 6 pack of Oreos..full fat. :rolleyes1 I ate them all. FAST. And...the good thing I discovered is that I actually prefer the reduced fat Oreos. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Happy day, all!!

Channing :)

Big thanks to Kel for being up and at 'em early again to check on those codes!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

Nothing for me, but was to be expected. You can now play with it on line. I left a message for my IL's to call since it appears there is availability at the GF for their dates (savings of almost $800 for 8 nights in regular season- so what is that only 20% :confused3 ) Also looks like SIL can save over $400 at a mod right after Tgiving so I sent her an email. Hopefully they get it worked out- I now wash my hands of it! :rotfl:

Can you believe the Oreo talk didn't inspire me to eat one?? :lmao: Maybe because I had made white chocolate macademia nut ones a few days ago :rolleyes1 Mercifully those are LONG gone though!

Back to Kohls we go since the blonde one forgot to get extra pillow cases yesterday :headache:

Have a great day all!
Kristin

We were trying to get breakfast for the morning of the 28th. There are 5 of us. You don't have to give up yours for us, but if you decide not to go I would love to take it. Thank you sooooo much for offering, that is truly so nice of you!

You are so much like me! At least it was a 6 pack..... could have been a whole bag of oreos! :rotfl: I could not find a thing but I did find Hersey kisses, lots of em! :rotfl: Its that time of the month when not having Choc in the house is unsafe! :scared1: LOL! I have little stashes here and there for emergencies! ;) Oh seriously i am not gonna be able to by pass the oreos next time i am at the store!

I just started planning next summers trip to BCV and Vero Beach. I am pretty excited about trying Vero.

Have a good day everyone!

Vanessa - you will love Vero!! Great kids activities, CM's,etc. What type of room are you getting? We are in an OVIR for the week after Easter again next year!

Chan, I have a brand new pack of Chips Ahoy too. I was bad yesterday and went to the grocery store while I was hungry.

pregnant + hungry + food shopping = a bad combo!

My cart was totally full of crap, I was actually embarrassed to check out! :rotfl:

Kristin didn't realize your DS was starting kindergarten..When DD (my baby) started I cried and she went off with no problem...DH said I should haven been so excited to have a little extra time for my self but I wasn't -for about a week...:rotfl:

Channing Dniece and I are going to try to post while we're at the GF and will TRY to post pics too (Try being the operative word here!!!)...

Back to packing ,DD has at least begun, DS's are going to drive me crazy :scared1:

I thought about those oreos too-but I did resist...need to save calories so I can over eat on vacation:rotfl:

Mandy, I was in Boarder's the other day and at the check out they sell chocolate bars that are labeled as "emergency chocolate stash" or something like that. I almost bought one just in case I "needed" it but I am trying to stick to this stupid diet. I feel loads better while I am on it but there are so many yummy things I miss! BF has lost 40 pound on it as of today in the last three months, though, so I really want to encourage him.

Low fat and low carb just don't do it sometimes though. Like I said last night, brownies made from beans just aren't the same!

Amy, Breyers makes some low carb icecream bars that REALLY help me in a pinch (5 net carbs). I also make a killer cream cheese blintz to get me through a sweet spell (just eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and splenda for the "wrap" and cream cheese, splenda and vanilla for the filling- yum!!!!!)

Congrats to DF!! That is awesome!!! I should look into South Beach- Atkins is getting to restrictive feeling for me so I abandoned it weeks ago!! (thanks to that cheesecake factory day! :rolleyes1 )

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

M&P that is quite a dee lema!!!:rotfl:

I have stayed in a 1 br suite at the CR they are very spacious and the balconies ( I think there are 3 )are full sized lounge chairs and all...But that is quite a bit of moving around...I'd keep trying you still have a few months to go:goodvibes

Also just wondering-when you were mentioning to your wife about getting house cleaned before your trip and she started speaking in foreign languages:rotfl: were you also offering to help???!!!

good luck with the reservations:thumbsup2

Channing~ Thanks for the insight. You are soo right and I just needed someone to say it to me. I am going to call and change BBB to DTD location and then have dinner at 1900 Park. This will make for a nice Christmas Day and I know the girls will enjoy it. I really wanted them to do the spa but they are begging for BBB and so that is what we are going to do.

That stinks about your favorite CM not working over Christmas. Yes- my situation is very confusing. Heck I may end up at the Pop before it is all over. TOTALLY KIDDING!!

Kristin~ I am blonde when it comes to shopping and I am always forgetting things. I am writing a list for tomorrow so this will be our one and only back to school shopping trip...hopefully.

Wendy~ I am going to try for an OVIR at Vero instead of a one bedroom. I think we are going to do a Thurs-Sun or Fri-Monday after a week at BCV or GF. I just saw some pictures on the DVC boards and it looks beautiful. We do not own there so I will have to try for it at 7 months. Evie and her family are joining us on this trip so I am sure the kids will have a blast!

M&P- Good luck with getting your ressie. :wizard: Mine is for the 23-28th so if I would cancel I do not think that will help you any.

But wouldn't that be some view of the new years eve fireworks from up there?

Whats better? new years eve fireworks from the 14th floor
or new years eve in RPC over looking the lobby. I WANT BOTH!

Also just wondering-when you were mentioning to your wife about getting house cleaned before your trip and she started speaking in foreign languages:rotfl: were you also offering to help???!!!

Something must be wrong with the board.... the end of your post looks foreign to me too!
:rotfl:

I do better with South Beach than he does. I mean, he is doing GREAT on it and losing tons of weight (I really just need to maintain). I have been wanting to eat healthier and started this to do so. After a week or two I could feel a HUGE difference in the way I felt everyday. Lots more energy, fewer headaches, and less days with that all over nasty feeling. I like plain food though, and have always sort of eaten this way, just with tons of cokkies and cakes thrown in :rotfl: and that's where he has issues sometimes. You can have A LOT of things once you get to phases II & III but there is an element of blandness to it, I guess, for people who like everything fried and smothered in catsup (sp?)!

One of the best things about the diet, though, is that it is forgiving. On the website, they are really big on if you must eat something, eat it or it is all you will think about! If you do, they tell you not to see it as failure and fall off the wagon completely, just go on with the diet the next day like nothing happened. We have had a cheat night (one at Chessecake factory) and occassionally will share a dessert or something. It helps, a lot.

BF did Adkins a couple of years ago and lost 60lbs. Then he plateaued for about three months. Someone told him to "shock his system" with carbs. He got diverticulitus and gained it all back in less than two months :(

I think SB is easier to live on forever, maybe (seems that way to me, I didn't do Adkins). All I know is BFs blood sugar level is normal right now (was slightly diabetic) my blood sugar is normal (I was hypoglycemic for YEARS) and BF's blood pressure is NORMAL (this is big, because at one point it was 240/140 and we were in the hospital with it!)

Sorry for rambling, I am just very proud of his loss so far and mostly that he is feeling so much better :)

OK, V help me with the numbers:

No GF = $2000 total (or $3000 including the 2 BCV days?)

If it is $4000 for GV (plus BCV) and $3000 for VWL and BCV, then I would take the garden view (you still get the GF at Christmas, but save some money) If you have never stayed RPC then you don't know what you are missing so GV would be fine, KWIM?

If it is $2000 total for VWL and BCV then I would probably skip the GF altogether. That is a lot of money to save. We were unable to get a discount with the latest round of codes at all. If we didn't get that pin earlier in the year, we probably would have switched to the BC with the discount rather than pay rack at the GF (it would have been to big of a discount to pass up).

Best of luck with your decision!!!

FYI: We have a CP package at Teppan Edo also (we love that place!!!!!)
