I read that thread. What a bunch of crabs! You cannot even post that you are a little upset over not getting a room you wanted. I am sure if she would have said she did not get the preferred room at the Pop people who have been all kinds of sympathetic.

Dawn- I have a Verizon Wireless card. It is a little slow at times but I like it when I am going to be gone for the weekend. We were in the middle of no where this weekend so it did not work. I do not know the cost since the company I work for pays for it.

So what room are you looking for?? Did you switch from SL?

I told dh the real cost of the RPC room this weekend. He about had heart failure! I did remind him this was my Anniversary and Christmas and that Kelly Rippa might be there. That won him over!

Dh is a total Kelly Rippa fan. I think I read where she stayed at the GF one year since I believe she hosts the Xmas day parade. Someone correct me if I am wrong here. Anyway...I had to think of something to get him to agree.

I did lecture him for a long time how he works so hard and sometimes we deserve to splurge a little and it was Xmas yadda, yadda. He backed down and did not say a word. When this happens....I know I got him. This is going to be a dream come true trip for my family and I am totally pumped. I did get all of my ADR's also but they planned a noon lunch at Prime Time and a 3:30 Fantasmic Package at Mama Melrose that I need to try and switch. That is a little too close. Thought about trying Brown Derby but not sure how they kids would do.

Still awaiting your controversial post Mike. Forget cleaning that house and get to typing!

We are staying SL...my mom has changed her mind about 1000 times but it is now final. Yippee! Im not complaining!

I am going to look into a card for when we go in Nov...but if it isn't any cheaper than I will use the GF.

Dawn -- my aircard is also Verizon. (that was one of the few companies when I got it a couple of years ago.) The one I have now is actually a lot faster than my old one, as long as I have a good signal. My company also pays for mine but I pay the bills. It's around $70 a month and well-worth it as I can work from baseball and soccer games and practices, trips, VBS, carpool line etc.

V -- I agree with Mandy. We've been taking our kids to BD for many years, starting when they were 2 and 5, and they've always done fine. You should try it sometime. The Cobb is great.

Enjoy the tour!
We did it some time back and I was bored for the first 5-10 minutes but really enjoyed it. Loved seeing all the ways they grew the plants.

Mike, same here!! that video had me snoozing....i told my kids i am gonna be napping on my feet so dont' lean on me, haha.....but it got fine! i knew all his little trivia question answers becauwe I watch Survivor hha...and chew gum...lol....nobody but ME knew, so dh was impressed...jojo LOVED it and wants to do it again asap. she is miss science girl...she enjoyed it and asked tons of questions - good ones...not dumbbutt ones haha...it was better than expected.

OK!! First of all what is BD, sorry couldn't figure it out.

Secondly, I am kind of glad I cancelled my ressie at Narcoossee's. I would want to take a chance with that!!!

Thirdly, whats the good news about the GF??? Did I miss it???

My 4th of July went great!!! The food was great and the Sangria was even better!!! The weather held out until 7:00 p.m. so no big deal!!!

yay! glad the 4th was good! bd brown derby. love it...getting more parky though less signature - not sure that it was though...if it wre in a resort it would be imo. i have a sensitvie stomach, so something they do at narcoosees really freaks it out. i don't know what though.


I am on my lovely gf balcony typing...i am facing the waterfall pool...its not on though! yesterday it was soooo nice listening to that water. it's not a mk view, but it's a NICE room! SUPER nice!!! I am spoiled here.

we have our cabana at 10 so i have to run but i will check in later! the family is still sleeping and i am in my pjs....they betternot give our cabana away or give us a crapppy one!! LOL...a tent wihtout amenities.

it's LOVELY here and i was dreading the weather, but it's been surprisingly great....lately. the mk was AWESOME yesterday except once again...we got fp for sm and guess what? it broke!!!!! that is getting annoying! but other things were very low lines and we had a fabulous time. stayed til after midnight and enjoyed ourselves...

ok have to wake the crew and get bfast and cabana!

the gray meat made it['s appearance last night. LOL....here's hoping for a menu change!!!! I made it known that the same old stuff is getting OLD!!!! and i am not alone in thinking that. I skipped alll food and went for champagne. Yum.

It is white with a red border (I think) and it has the red shorts, the yellow shoe, the black ears and the white glove. You will know it when you see it!!

hey all!! i am sweltering here by the pool!! the cabana is great, but the router doesn't reach so i am in a dorky spot in the sun omg...MELTING but posting!!!!

i was hoping for shade but there isn't much here!!

CABANA REAL UPDATE as of LAST WEEK!!!!! THEY ARE ALL RENTALS....NO more free cabanas!!!!!! OMG bummer, right??!!?!

Well...heres the deal...RIGHT NOW, there are two deluxe cabanas fro advanced rentals - the one we have...and i have updeated pics....and then the other two cabanas farther from the pool store are also rentals, SAME PRICE, but they are walk up first come first serve rentals. They have the same furiture as the poolside furniture, a stockedfridge, tv, fan, etc....and cabana service, but they are walk up rentals for $60 also. The goal is to try and have all four be decked out rentals soon! They just got the tvs in last week for these other two cabanas. so....bye bye nice freebies at the GF,....


We are enjoying ours this morning...the pool is empty. We have a great cabana CM that has doted on us and taken good care of us. I LOVE THIS PLACE!! But i am not kidding you...i am MELTING...it's a beautiful sunny day here!

Other news....there is a chance that the club level food could be changing. Yay!! cross fingers. Slight chance, but it's there!

athe lobby floor....well....i know there was recently panic about a press release that it will happen "soon"...by SOON that is meant in the near future....they are not sure what the current delay is. BUT the floor will not be installed during a high occupancy pe\riod at the GF. It could even be pushed back to 2009 at this point.

The Grand Adventures in Cooking.....cancelled as of late Sept....well...the reasoning is due to Pirates being sooo huge and popular. They want to UP the Pirate Adventure and take advantage of the resources available to expand that so more kids can enjoy that pirate fun here at the GF. I am sure they know what they're doing. It's Disney afterall...and they do things GREAT! I almost have JOjo talked into doing a pirate cruise next trip. LOL...

well...we are suckers and did wind up renewing our annual passes....we stood at that ticket window with every intention of buying a 10 day hopper....and we couldn't do it. LOL....DH was the one that said RENEW! haha....

the YC was nice, but as I said no wow. the pool is terrific fun and we enjoyed the area a bit, but we were busy and didn't relax and enjoy the resort as much as i hoped we would. the 5 nts there went super fast! we were about as far as you can get from the lounge so it wasn't convenient, but we enjoyed those krispie kremes for sure!! they had diff varieties...by us when we CAN get them, we can only get plain! I had raspberry filled every day!!! I had my 2.5 gallon ziplocs and Lucy really wanted me toload them up on our lastmorning.....hey..if I could have transferred them ok, i might have!!! the gf bfast foods are THE SAME AS ALWAYS!!!!! omg... had my pineapple with pink yogurtand cheese danish this am. Saw the great sweet lounge ladies and they are awesome as alaways. ALL NICE CMs herer at the GF...they are so misunderstood, haha....people thinking they are stuffy or snooty is soooo far from the truth. Gotta keep that our little secret though.

LOL..i also thought of Mare and her ziplocs yesterday at crystla palace...the table was decorated for Lucys bday with mickey glitter stuff....and i wanted to scoop it up and save it for art later !!! haha....ziplocs would have been handy!

I have had NO waits at all for my ADRs...NONE...they had us the pager and we walk away and it goes off...that's been the case EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! it's almost funny and we laught with the host/hostess about it...maybe becuase the concierge made my aDRs? I dn't know but no waits like B had ...NONE. it's been top notch all the way.

The MK was terrificly uncrowded yesterday. we walked on stuff. LOVE IT...hopeing for another good time later today, we have LTT for dinner....

Andrea!! I am going to measure those pants etc for you later at M Merc.... I will either PM you the measuremnts or pst here! I really haen't been in that store at all yet other than to buy the GF 20th anniv pins that were on the counter. So i didn't really look but hoping they have the outfit still!!! I will keep my eyes open!!

I hope you all are doing great! I miss ya. Disney['s internet service was down for a couple days so I had no service and was soooo out of touch!

I have to get back to my family and the cabana!!! I have the most gorgeous room and now I am spoiled....I think this may set a new standard, lol....dh is not going to be happy. But the GF is fabulous and i wish i was on day ONE of my trip again!!! i have til Sunday morning to soak it in.

You mentioned your room, the waterfall pool view, gorgeous and that it might set a new standard? May I ask what room are you in - is it standard RPC?

I loved loved loved our MK view from 4401 in 2006. Were you disappointed when you learned you were not castle view?

Showing my ignorance , I don't know what types of rooms face the waterfall pool in the main building. I know that there are regular rooms facing the MK and then some regular and deluxe that overlook the 'quiet pool' area. But the location of other rooms up there ?
