Happy 4th everyone!!

Its a bit boring over here with the family away but who can really complain about a quiet house?

I got rid of my 3 days at the poly for new years eve.

I grabbed a GF theme park view on the 30th. This way we can see the new years eve fireworks that they also show on the 30th. Then on the 31st we are going to the Beach Club until jan 2nd.

Glad you had a better day. That is why we no longer take the early flight. Everyone is crabby and tired. We take the 9ish or 10ish flight, it changes but there is usually one between 9-10:30. It works out so much better for us. Congrats on the upgrade. How is club level at the YC? I would only stay CL if we stayed there again, but have read mixed reviews, mostly bad. The walk in the morning for the stuff Disney calls coffee was way too long. Cinderumbrella already answered about the brooms. That was a very big deal for Tampa, but you know what they say about payback.

Hi, it was the 10:15 fllight!! LOL...I guess the time change and then having to get up so early since we are used to our summer wake ups...the airport is an hour away, but driving in rush hour we had to leave extra early. Then it was just crazy hectic and we were rushing all over. We were all just beat.

Well....CL here is OK. I actually prefer my GV or WV room for their views. This is a standard view and it's ugly UGLY. I usually LOVE to sit on my balcony in the mornings while the kids are getting ready. None of that...it's a view of rooftops. Not even parking lot for action LOL. Just nothing. So I don't even feel I am at Disney honestly. I am dying to get to GF. No matter the view there, it will be lovely. not ugly rooftops. Also the concierge here is fine but nothing great or WOWish like the Gf. The KKs are awesome haha...but other than that...eh. The evening food is sometimes decent, other times just bleh. The staff.....eh. They are not the friendliest bunch but they're ok. not nasty. housekeeping has done turndown regularly. That is athumbs up. They are friendly. They don't leave EXTRA TOWELS or toiletries....they have TAKEN our extra towels trhee times!! THAT is aggravation. The first day I called THREE flippin times for the towels...tip in hand & here waiting the first two - waiting for over an hour each time. That last call, i finally left to go out to dinner and they came, haha...There were not robes in the closets. So one night after we rretunred from parks, we saw the cart in the hallway and snagged 5....well...the next day they took the 3 extra we wanted for our kids. I guess extras are not allowed...LOL...

I like YC fine, but I would prefer the view to concierge. I'd book water view to be guaranteed seomthing pretty....vs gv which i usually book...now I knowjust how bad a standard view can be.

Glad today is better!! It is probably just lack of sleep and big crowds! Once you get back to your happy place (aka RPC) it will be fine!!!!!

The brooms is a reference from the Tampa people to the Boston people since Tampa just swept the Red Sox and knocked them out of first place....

(speaking of brooms, the White Sox just had to BACK TO BACK SWEEPS, first of the cubs and then the Indians....)

BTW- I am sending you a PM about a beach towel!!!!!!

Channing, let us know how your Narcoossees dinner turns out this evening. Thank you for the info on the BD. I noticed several pictures on the food thread that some of the time the tables had table cloths and some did not. Have a great day tomorrow!

Also at BD....they served DD12 a gorgeous inch thick pork chop and expected her to use a butter knife! lol....NO WAY..The waiter didn't come back so I wound up cutting my 12 yr old's food, haha....because there is NO way she could cut thru that sucker w/a butter knife....but I could.

The food was delish, but the service has dropped. we have bene going there for years. still love it for the food and the atmosphere. It's a neat place.

Narcoosees was yummy....i had the filet - and it came w/a steak knife!! melt in my mouth yummy good....i could have cut it with a butter knife. i can never eat the dessert there!! i ordered the ceaser salad 7 the steak...that was enough. PLUS...last nov when i ate tehre I ordered the same thing andthrew up in teh middle of the night....SAME thing this time. They must do something funky to their meat or it could be their salad....it is good going down, but their food does not agree with me!!! I don't think I can do it again.

Secondly, I am kind of glad I cancelled my ressie at Narcoossee's. I would want to take a chance with that!!!

Thirdly, whats the good news about the GF??? Did I miss it???

My 4th of July went great!!! The food was great and the Sangria was even better!!! The weather held out until 7:00 p.m. so no big deal!!!

We are off to the Sox game tonight..it should be fun with fireworks afterwards. The only problem is getting out of there with everyone at the same time!

Hey I got a tip from the photography board on where to print my pictures....I tried MPIX on their recommendation and they are fantabulous! Only 19 cent a picture and shipping is reasonable. I ordered on Thursday and got them this morning!

We watched the NYC MAcy's fireworks on TV and I though of you , Lesly, and Mare! So could you see em or is that not in your area? Nice to watch on TV for us, esp with our big tv! NO sketters biting us while we watch to podunk firework in our little town!

Thats too far for me to see from my home even thought a quick drive would give me a view. BUT I have never seen them live and don't want to go because of crowds and traffic.
I remember my sister once took a drive to see them and she said once she got close the traffic was stopped and everyone just got out of thier cars and watched. That is not for me. My sister is very different than me. She doesn't want to stay at the GF!!! I won't say what resort she loves!

CVS had a great deal for 12 cents prints and if you bought 50 you got 20 of those free. i printed about 600 pics and it cost less than 8 cents a print.

Each time i see one of these deals im going to upload all my pics.

Thanks for the review of the YC CL. Sounds like we could skip it. I liked the YC but not the six mile walk for coffee. We only stayed there 2 days and were upgraded from standard view to water view. Guess I'll just have to stick with the GF or Poly. I know you are not a fan of the Poly, but we have had nothing but good experiences there. That is awlful about the towels and then having to wait for someone to bring more. Seems like Disney is cutting back on the toiletries. We didn't get nearly as many at the GF last time and even had to ask for some that we were running low on. Maybe because we were just the lowly commoners in SL. What is the news about the GF? You can't leave us hanging here all day.

Well, I don't know about Lesly but Mare can see them at certain locations. I can see them too from our local beach or boardwalk.

Dawn - finally saw SATC!!! I really liked it!!! I don't know if it was the story line I liked or that I miss the show so much and I just liked see the 4 of them!!! Besides it was nice to see them in an episode longer then an 1/2 an hour!!

Having him home for 4 days has been weird. You get used to doing things one way, then all of a sudden there is this extra person to accout for in everything. That and he wasn't feeling great, so grumpy hubby!

Hi guys! We are back from camping. Had a great time and very nice weather. Got to lay by the pool for 2 days which is always nice!

I got another night in RPC for the dec trip. Someone gave up news years eve so I grabbed it. Unfortunately since its not consecutive I had to pay the one night deposit urrghhh.
That changes all my plans again so
now its RPC then Theme park view for a night then RPC then either leave jan 1 or move again or hopefully RPC opens up again.
