Hey Channing~ I will even buy you a pair or those orange shorts and a Hooters tank top. You will love it:rotfl2:

O.K.- we are definately taking Channing to Hooters on our IL girls meet!!

I know Dawn will be up for it!

I may need a place to sleep that night!:rotfl2:

LOL:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yeah I am in Love Hooters wings...Chan you need to get some really dark shiny nylons with some scruchy socks to wear with the ensemble!

Ladies...did you know Vegas now has a Hooters Resort? I read about it while on vacation. Other than the gambleing I wonder how different it is from the "regular" hooters? Hmmm on second thought maybe I don't want to know since it is Vegas. :rolleyes1

Channing, Jojo is is just too cute. I can tell she really enjoys dance. You both will be exhusted by the end of the weekend. Try and get lots of R&R before.

Cinderumbrella, Thank you. I don't know what the deal is. I have gotten sick after our last two plane trips. I use the antibiotic wipes for the arm rests, tables and drink plenty of water. If someone had to get sick I am really am glad I got sick instead of DH, he is undergoing cancer treatment right now and sure doesn't need a cold or such to sideline him.

Angel

Hope your feeling better and I'll say a prayer that your DH doesn't come down with it!:)

and maybe this will be my time to pack up some school bread, too....never tried that. :thumbsup2

Chan

Are you serious??!!! :scared1: The Schoolbread is to die for!!:cloud9: It's a bread type dough (not sweet) with custard filling topped with frosting and coconut.....delish!!!

They are HUGE. I've eaten one for dinner once. Seriously, it was my first and last time doing that. I didn't know how big it was and I just couldn't stop eating it it was so yummy.

Chan, you NEED a ziplock for a school bread trust me!!

Now do you see why I carry so many! :rotfl2:

I was in Target and they had Little Mermaid AND Nemo Ziploc bags in the $1 section. Now everyone can carry buffet snacks/pretzels/school bread in Disney style!

Btw, I have never had the pretzels OR the school bread! I will have to do that on the next trip for sure!

I've never been to Hooters nor do I eat beer or wings.

I'm more of a wine and cheese type of girl ;)

You ladies convinced me to get the Fergie Kipling bag. I'm going to go tomorrow morning should it not rain. I hate walking in the rain :( I would love to test it out in WDW, but I spent a small fortune on the LeSportSac bag which I've already packed (does that count toward packing??).

Well guys...my GF RPC dream is fading fast tonight.

Tornados and storms everywhere! We are in a flash flood warning. That figures...a year we are supposed to make money in this crazy business...the weather does not cooperate. Sometimes I wonder why we even farm. He loves it but sometimes I hate it!

Springfield and south has been really bad. Lots of tornados. :(

I think I'm going to start a Ziplock collection I have so many!!! My kids would love the Nemo ones!! :rotfl2:

Oh, the pretzels do not taste at all like a pretzel. It's just in a pretzel shape. It taste like an almond danish. Real pretzels are in Germany, which I know my son will love to try this trip.

Well...I don't eat beer either. I drink it!:drinking1

I am pretty much both. I can be a wine and cheese girl when I want to me and then a beer and wing gal also! Pretty well rounded.

I bet you cannot get a bottle of wine in those baggies but I bet I could stuff you a cold Miller Lite and a few Hooters Wings!!:rotfl2:

I love the Halloween and Christmas Ziplocs!

Oh wow! I do have a lot of ziplocks!

I always use the Halloween ziplocks each year for our treats. I fill them with candy and snack size crackers.

Living in an apartment building, treat or treating is really different than the suburbs. The doormen give you a list with the apts willing to participate in trick or treating. You can only trick or treat between 6pm to 8pm, but the majority of people ask that you stop by after 7pm. Going floor to floor in an elevator and having only one person give out candy on one floor - sometimes you just skip that floor. Well in the end, you might not get that much candy if no one's home from work yet. So the moms in the building now fill candy bags really fill them. So if the little kids only hit 10 apts, they feel like they got a lot of stuff.

So that's why I use the Halloween ziplocks. Never had a need for the Christmas ones. :)

Okay typo you got me! :rotfl:

I've just never been a beer drinker, don't care for the taste. Now give me a cosmo or green apple martini - yum! ;)

I don't eat wings cause I don't like anything with heat. I hate spicy food.

V~that is sooo bad! I know I have been watching the weather and you guys are getting it bad down there. Tomorrow night we are supposed to get horrible rains and wind here....:worried:

:santa: keep the xmas dream alive!

Channing, Jojo is a doll!

Vanessa, hope things get better for you. I don't think I could take the farming. Just trying to grow enough hay for our own horses is bad enough. We haven't done our first cutting yet, which should have been done a month ago. I can't imagine the problems the weather is causing with crops! Here's hoping the rain stops (until youj need it again).

Thats interesting to hear about trick or treating in an apartment building! So you give each child a ziplock full of candy! Thats a great idea , especially for the little ones who get worn out so fast!

It's convenient that we don't have to worry about the weather! I like that it's timed controled so you know when it ends and you're bell is not ringing all night long. But it's a PITA holding the elevator when there's only one apt on the floor and going in and out of the elevator with a stroller! Plus, the moms get more tired than the kids. It's a lot of work keeping track of the apt list. We're all out there with our list and pens to cross off apts we've gone to already. Plus my building is huge. It's two buildings back to back with a courtyard in the middle. Then inside each building there's a west and east wing. I only took the kids to our own building. I wasn't doing two buildings! But I did the two wings.

Last year many people just left the candy outside their door. I found that wasn't as fun, but the kids didn't seem to care one bit. I love how the single guys leave 6 pcs of candy in a take out container. One mom left all the candy in a huge all-clad roasting pan! Then one teacher made a treasure chest display with bags full of toys! It was fun and interesting!

I just set up a snack table outside my door covered with a table cloth, two bowls full of snack bags and some balloons tied to the table. I left a huge note that we were out trick or treating help yourselves. I actually had candy left when we came back. Kids nowadays are so honest. DH thought for sure one kid would have taken the entire bowlful. :rotfl2:

I really like that these last few years all the crackers have been in snack size halloween bags. Last year I found fishes, animal crackers and pretzels. It's a nice mix with the lollypops and chocolate. Especially for the toddlers.

Speaking of candy....

I walked pass Dylan's Candy Bar today and in the window on display are the dresses from Project Runway last season when they had to make dresses out of Hershey wrappers. It was so cool to see in person! Christian's looked the most detailed with all those Reeses Peanut butter cup wrappers.
