Minnisota HOw terrible about those family's. We have had our share of hurricanes here but in our area most all the death are older peopl who have heart attacks due to the stress during the storm. I could not imagine how the mother who lost her child is doing.

Also your daughter is lovely! I lover her dress and her hair is so cute! The last time I got my hair cut their was a girls getting a similar hair do for her prom. I remember the Prom hair do's I had

MAre Welcome back! WE were worried about you! Your new lap top sounds fun! I ordered one then sent it back my lap top is old and giving me a fit so I am stuck to the desk. We just did some stuff to our house so the new lap top is gonna have to wait, besides I don't want to settle I want to get a GOOD one so I'm willing to wait!

Oh yea, I just got my first Ipod and I LOVE IT! I got an I touch. I want an I phone so bad now but At&t sucks in my area DH says I can have one next year

Work on Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa continues as the entire pool area is slated to be refurbished over the next week or so. In addition, the now delayed new flooring for the main building will be arriving in September and should be in place before the holiday season.

Welcome back Mare, actually I haven't been around much either.

Minnisota - scary photos!!! On the brighter side your daughter really wore the right color dress with her eyes!! WOW!!!

Conversation about Flip Flops!!! My favorite, I collect them everywhere I go. Abercrombie has really cute ones this year and I actually fit in the the kids large (size 8).

I have always wanted to grab a pair of reefs, but I never seem to find them.

LOST final tonight can't wait!!!!

I am going to miss LOST tonight. We are going to Biloxi, MS for the weekend, and I am not going to be in the room to watch tonight!!! Good thing I have DVR ...

I have had Reef flip flops which I loved, but my favorites are from J. Crew and the Volatile ones. Both of those have a wedge version, not too high, not too low, and makes me feel like I am not pounding my feet on the flat ground so much. A bit more support.
We live in flip flops 10 months out of the year here in Louisiana too. Hannah can't stand to wear them though. I bought her an Old Navy pair and after walking from the car to the grocery store in them, she was complaining about them rubbing between her shoes! She wears the mary jane Crocs mostly!

I have a few from JCrew too!!! Its funny that you talk about the wedges and not pounding your feet. I never had a problem with that and then last year my really flat flip flops made my whole body hurt!!! I think I am getting old!!

I haven't decided which shoes to wear to Disney yet. I didn't realize what a big decision this was! I think I will wear my Crocs flip flops. They are really comfortable. I'll also bring my running shoes. I am thinking about getting a pair of Mary Jane Crocs but I'm still not sold yet!

This Florida girls owns 30 pairs pairs of flip flops We have a store that sells cute boutique sandals for like 10 bucks and i go crazy in there! They are so fun with cute stuff on them or simple metallics that are so great in the summer! I wear them every wear, even church and then put in my heals right before I go on stage!

My fave Disney shoe is my Capri crocs and my Reefs! I am going to my Crocs store to get some of the new canvas capri's! I think I am getting the black on black ones.

FYI: the boutique I get my crocs at tell all there customers to use original Armor All to clean them. It works well I use it all the time! Just keep it off the bed of the shoe or you may get hurt!

I use Armorall too! It's great. I also use Barkeepers Friend or Helper - whatever it's called....that works too & gets the tough stuff off.

Andrea - Crocs dot com has CUTE kids Hannah Montana Mary Janes in case Hannah would like those. I ordered some for Jojo right away when I saw that!

When you guys get your capri canvas...let me know what you think of them...I like them, too!! I have the Teva black Mush though so I just don't need another pair of black flips. But if they're WONDERFUL my needs might change.

Thanks for all of your good thoughts and prayers. Luckily, my friend's sister lives in the same area and they have taken them into their home. People have been so wonderful - bringing books, toys and clothes for their little girl. Even a crib showed up the day after the storm.

My friend said she had just gotten her daughter up from a nap and they were sitting on the couch in the living room when they heard the sirens. Her husband came in from the yard and said it looked pretty nasty. Her sister called and told them they better get to the basement. They suddenly heard what sounded like a freight train and ran to the basement. Her husband got the baby on the floor, put his wife on top and then got on top of her and clung to the hot water heater. When it was all over, the house was pretty much gone.

They were lucky to get out with only cut feet from the glass they walked over because they were barefoot. Unbelievable.

The family that lost their 2 year old son has a 4 year old daughter who is in critical condition. Keep them in your prayers.

My DD had a wonderful prom - now it's back to final projects and AP exams!

Kelly- I suppose they will be working on the floors in October when we are there. Hope it goes quickly and smoothly! Thanks for the update.

My kids are in school until June 9. Then hopefully we will get some summer weather here so we're not in shock when we get down to face the heat in Florida. Plus I want a TAN.

Let me know aobut those Capri Crocs. I am all about comfort in WDW. That is the ONLY place I wear my butt ugly Arizona Birkies or my Croc Mary Janes. Pathetic, but true. I am only going to see Kelly so who cares.

Oh! I got a cabana for THREE of my days!!! I couldn't believe it but since you guys pointed out how hot it will be and it's so nice to have in that heat w/the fans..(which I forgot about) it makes me feel better about spending an afternoon hanging by the pool.

I wasn't aware of construction going on at the GF Pool. I hope it's not an inconvenience. We're really looking forward to afternoons by the pool.

Back to my flip flop issues. I'm a major walker. I walk 25 miles a week just bringing my son to school, and more running errands. Flip flops don't bother me in the summer wearing them for "normal' use. But to walk around the city, they just don't have enough support for me.

Channing: I didn't know you had problems with the Haviannas. I wish I would have known. I was lured into the pretty brown and gold ones I saw the mush flips at DSW Shoes, but didn't care for the color. I will keep searching. The Reef flips I found the straps too loose and didn't hold my foot in place well. I'm tempted to purchase the Fit Flops, I like that they give you a work out.

Has anyone tried the MBT Sneakers?

I wore them today and my calfs are throbbing! You can really feel the burn in them. I had a few gift cards for Bliss, so I used them to buy the sneakers. I would have loved the spa treatments, but didn't want to spend my own cash on the shoes. Aren't gift cards free money?

Tomorrow morning I'm going to a mommy and baby screening of Sex and the City. I can't wait!! Hopefuly DS1 will nap. I'm dying to see that movie.

Well, off to fold three loads of laundry.

Hey, Mare!! I'm sorry!!! I thought I posted about those nasty buggers. I actually bought myself a brown pair, too, but they wre too small...I think they wre sized wrong because they fit Lucy!! She wears 3 sizes down from me. So she has two pairs....they are cute for maybe running around to Target or whatever but for all day at WDW...they were killers. They are evil shoes. And the description of them being so comfy that Havianas has put out there is a lie!!!! I don't know what the deal is because those shoes are torture. Look on Tiva dot com and you will see the patterns the Mush will come in - and you can order from there, too, but at full price. This is the first year I am not crazy about lots of their patterns...usually I can't get enough.

For WDW I am sticking with my Keens (LOVE THEM), my Chacos (ugly but have awesome arch support), my Mushes, and probably my MJ Crocs. I bought a new pair of Saucony tennies that I lvoe but I think summer/rain et ...they are not JUly WDW shoes.

I hate to say it but I'm reconsidering driving down in for Christmas and started looking at airfares. the cheapest I've seen so far is $388 and multiply that by six and....

Also thinking if I fly then I can add 2 more days to the trip....

Mike, they fly out of islip (OK...under the gun - I think I am remembering that name right)..LONG ISLAND....is that near ya?

Their hub is Phoenix. They started out there, but go to SWA dot com and you can see their route map. They fly all over, really now.
