Wow, I guess I missed a lot in a week. We are back and had a great time at the GF. We didn't get the lodge tower room. We almost didn't even get SL. When we got our parking pass it didn't have the C on it, and wondered what was up with that, maybe they changed and don't put it on any more. Then we get out of the car and no concierge CM's to meet us. OK, so we go to the concierge desk and tell them we are checking in to SL and they took our name and gave us a funny look. We are not on the list. After some checking said we had requested a MK view room. I insisted we booked SL, and they said no I didn't. Fortunately I had my confirmation letter that clearly stated outer lodge club level. I almost didn't take it since we have never needed it. I knew I was listed in the system right since IPO made our ADR's and booked the Wlidlife Discovery Excursion. After they saw the confirmation letter they went to the concierge room assigner to see what they could do. I was afraid they would up grade us to RPC and I would like it better and have to stay there from now on. They found us a room with a marina view. In the end all was good, we could see wishes from our balcony. Don't know what I would have done if I didn't have that letter since they clearly didn't believe me that I had a ressie in SL. I haven't seen any mention about this lately, but in case anyone is wondering, they had cream for the scones everyday.

Ok but I don't get the shoe joke. does it have something to do with the cake? I can see why you'd wear a size smaller of its a good shoe...but... actually i don't even know what I'm saying ...

It's a girl thing - some of us like to believe we wear a size or two smaller than we actually do - even in shoes. So in the movie, that character liked to SAY that she has a size 6 foot (dainty and petite ), but is admitting that what she actually has is a size 8 foot.

I always consider leaving my confirmation at home because I never need it but after your story, I'm bringing it without a second thought! Thanks for the info on the cream - they didn't have it in RPC in December but hopefully they will have in both lounges next month!

Maxie, wow....I would have been tense. I am glad they found you a good room in SL. That happened to me at the S/D. They got all huffy with me and insisted I was wrong ...I whipped out the confirmation and shocked them, haha....but I was so glad I had it because it seemed to be my word against theirs and they wren't budging. I ALWAYS bring my paperwork now. That time was just a fluke I had it w/me but now I make it a point. I have never heard of it happening at a WDW hotel though. Thanks for the heads up.

Oh ya....these ladies are entertaining all right.

Well, I watched AI last night. I think it's got to be the older David. Nobody else there can touch him. I don't think they had the talent this year that they've had in previous years. David is really good though....both Davids are, I just prefer the older one.

Does insurance cover burst pipes???
MY rental property just called and the tub drain pipe burst and the ceiling is filled with water! It drained through the ceiling and flooded the kitchen?

The plumber raced there and met us and the whole drain system needs replaced under the tub, we have to cut into the sheet rock cieling below so he can access it tomorrow...

This is MAJOR!!! What do I do??? (Hubby is on a business trip so it's just me dealing with this.)

Call your insurance carrier for the rental property to report the claim. There should be coverage for the resulting water damage but not coverage to repair the pipe. They will probably ask you to clean up any water you can. It it is excessive-you will need to call a water restoration company (something like ServPro, Service Master etc)
