Channing, I have always wanted my own pool..I have just had to settle for our local waterpark! I shouldn't complain we do have a hot tub and it is great for relaxing year round.

When we lived in Lombard we lived within a block of a fabulous pool park and we spent our summer there. My kids love swimming. All we have is a dirty lake here (people still swim in it) but I have heard of swimmers rash and other ickies from that lake so we made sure to have a CLEAN pool at our own house I love it....we spend all summer out back. It's a haven.

All in all they had a blast. Now for breakfast and out the door they go.

Vanessa! Whew...it's over!!!!! I am glad you made it through and hopefully they all had fun despite the drama. Last time Lucy had about 8 girls over for a bday slumber party it got a bit ugly....one girl whispered something, another overheard it, then it got passed around that the overhearer has "elephant ears"....it was so stupid but caused grief.

OK...you Illinois girls...I am sitting here in a DARK room...where's the sun for ME? Jo and I need to plant our potted flowers today!!!!

DH left EARLY to catch a flight to Vegas. He won't be home ti Thurs late. It's kind of nice, but I am gonna miss him. I am definitely taking his car out, though...haha....he filled it up for me.

OH!!!!! I was able to get the extra nights on my RPC ressie and with the AP rate!!!! Now I need to take care of my flights.......!!! YAY!

Just found this thread!! We will be staying at the GF 10/18-10/25, MNSSHP 10/21 and I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! I haven't been to WDW in 10 years. In a way I wish we were going tomorrow but I am glad I still have 5 months to save, save, save!!!!

I have the GF booked myself for Oct 19-26. We haven't been to a Halloween party there since 2003. IMO the Halloween parties are the best - well compared to the Xmas parties...those are the only two I've been to. Still hoping to make a P&P party one of these days.

Congrats on making it through the slumber party. My DD is 5, and already dreaming of the days when she can have slumber parties. I am dreading those days!

I am THIS CLOSE to booking for early Feb at the GF, and I am going to start my crazy planning again. I really need Disney trip planning in my life. I know you ladies here understand that.

DD is off to a birthday party today and I made the birthday girl a headband and one for DD as well.
Thought I would post pics ... I wouldn't have done with Bratz one in turquoise, but the birthday girl's mom, a really good friend of mine, wanted it that color, so that's what she got!!!

Dh and I are headed on a date this afternoon. He has to get done planting beans first and then we are going to dinner. It has been forever since we have spent any time together...so after last night I feel I deserve it.

That is AWESOME!
I can't seem to get ANYTHING at all for my dates but since my husband isn't worried about it, I guess I won't either! I would like to add a couple of days to the beginning of my trip at the CR for my daughter but it's not available with OR without the discount. I can get GF Garden for $289/night which at this point sounds CHEAP ~ but once we're at the GF it might be hard to drag ourselves over to the Poly... much as we love it there!

Bonnie~welcome to GF chatting. We went to MNSSHP last Sept and it was great! My mom and I even made shirts....I could have sold dozens of them cause everyone kept asking where I bought it. I mean literally people dodging the parade to come over to us..Crazy!

Glad you got your RPC dates! Are you talking your summer trip or Halloween one? I'm hoping AP rates will come out for our December trip. I did get AAA rate though!

Andrea - adorable headbands!!!! I love them! Early Feb is a super time to go. I wish my kids were still young because late Jan and early Feb were OUR best times at WDW!

Dawn - I am the same way....I have a fish phoebia and they totally freak me out. Nice, clean pool water for me with the only fish are my kids. Hey! I want to see a pic of those cool shirts!!!! What did they look like??!??! That is really neat that people were asking about them. Maybe you should take a trip down and bring a suitcase full to sell. It might pay for your Nov trip. Have fun at your baseball game...hopefully more sun to come.

Johnsonet - Good luck! I was panicking because things seems such slim pickins' but just last night on the AP site there were lots of options! I couldn't believe it....and then luckily I snagged them before the stupid Disney site went down!!!!

Princesses....I mean my July trip! I have about 2 wks of nights all with AP rates. For the October stay I have the bounce back offer booked. I just honestly don't know if we can even go so I am "upping" this July trip. It's tough to pull older kids out of school so I have hopes for it, but I am not going to count on it.

I went and ran all my errands this a.m. and then re-organized my office. I also got one of those hand drawn Alice pics when I was there and I went and got a nice frame for it.

Hey....I got nothing done today...slept til 10:30. DH had to get the limo at 6 am, then he called me at 8 am to let me know he was at Ohare.....finally passed out and MADE myself drag my butt outa bed at 10:30! Jojo is watching Speed Racer DVDs....she's hooked. When I was her age it was my FAVORITE SHOW!!!

What Alice drawing did you get??? Sounds cool.

Underdog anyone? Casper the friendly Ghost?? Sat morn were great only time cartoons were on...we ate cereal and watched while our parents slept the morning away!
