Good morning Gals!

It is cold and dreary here...:headache: have I mentioned lately how much I hate winter....

Kelly Bright and early... let me guess what have you done so far...probably unpacked, started some laundry and did a run to the supermarket!!!

I have done....nothing!! oh except sit here and type....:)

Mandy I am having the post Disney blues too:sad2:

Wendy and Sheli So sorry we didnt get to meet....hopefully next time...:goodvibes

I did quite a bit of Basin shopping...Basin White and at DTD...sooooo many choices!! DD was no help she likes everything...:rotfl:

Dawn I bet you did some Basin shoppping too....

So excited about that KTTK tour...really looking foward to it...

Amy I hope we get the same tour guide as you had....he sounds awesome!

Channing Where are you....something tells me you're going to need a couple of days to recuperate from all that laughing...and those fluffy pink drinks....;)

Well I guess I'd better get some things done...like unpack!! TTYL:upsidedow

Blue Deb I was unpacked yesterday LOL
I have done laundry this am though, all that was piled up while I was gone.
I need to go to the store to, I mean my DH went but he didnt buy much.

Good Morning!

GF gals.... Welcome Back!
:goodvibes

Sorry you have to return to the real world, reentry can be a real pain!:scared1:

Dh and I did two tours on our honeymoon, one was at DHS and the other was AK. The AK was a Backstage Safari and it was awesome but it is no longer the same. We had an awsome time learning the behind the sceens stuff....now I am waiting for the kids to get older before we do more.

Have a good day!:surfweb: Time for coffee......

Christine

Kelly I'm not surprised that you are already unpacked!! I got home the day before you and my suitcase is untouched...:rotfl: its my goal for later...

When my DH goes to the store (even with a list!) he comes home with half of what he was supposed too....:confused3

Christine I think the behind the scenes stuff on the tours is probably the most fun...in all of our trip we have never done one...

What tour did you do at DHS?

Wow- 4+ pages in a day and a half!

Gals-glad you all had such fun!!! Can't wait to see some pics;)

Hope everyone is having a great am; I'll check in later- I want to read Amy's trip report.:thumbsup2

Who here has eaten at Teppan Edo ?

We are thinking of booking it but err not sure?

We have a local Japanese steak house that our entire family LOVES but not sure how this place is Disney standard wise :rotfl:

This is one of those few places in Epcot we have never eaten at... hybatchi grills can be really really good and really really fun or they can totally suck!

I know I can look at the Dis dining review thread but there is so much garbage to wade through I thought to ask you gals as I know I can count on your honest reviews :thumbsup2

Good Morning Gals :coffee:

It's sunny here and about 45-50 degrees :goodvibes. I better take advantage of it while I can because tomorrow is supposed to be warm but very windy and heavy rains :headache:. Glad to see you gals are getting back into the swing of things after being gone ;).

Kelly......My suitcase would have been unpacked yesterday too :rotfl: :rotfl:. That is the FIRST thing I do when we get home......DH and DS run to the boarders to get Hunter and Mickey and by the time they get back I have all the suitcases unpacked and atleast one load of :laundy: going.....I can't stand packed suitcases sitting around :rolleyes1....especially when I know it's all laundry waiting to be done :rotfl2:.

Amy.....I started reading your trip report the other day :thumbsup2. I can't wait to read more and see more pics :).

Chan.......Where are ya :confused3??? Are ya still recuperating from the wild weekend :rotfl: :rotfl:.

Hi to everyone else :wave2:. Hope everyone has a good day and you traveling gals are able to get back into your routines :upsidedow.

Deb

Brook I have never eaten at Teppan Edo but if I remember correctly Kristin said it is very good!!

I rely on the opinions around here too....we seem to all be on the same page about what we like....and dont...:)

Now I know you have tried the food at Narcoosees (but maybe not the restaurant itself...:rotfl: ) how about Citricos for something new...:confused3 We havent eaten there in ages but it is on my list for next trip...

If it is an Epcot restaurant you are looking than I would check with Kristin about Teppan...

Deb Glad you're having some nice weather...but I'm a little jealous!!! I go to Florida its cold...I come home its cold...(although Sunday it was almost 60 here...but I wasnt I was in cold Florida:laughing: )....

I guess I shouldnt complain...at least I was at Disney....:)

About the unpacking...sometimes it takes me days....:sad2:

What can I say....:confused3

WELLLL I would love Citricos but DH and kids put their foot down this trip... they said no dressing up for dinner...no ts dinners at all
They said I killed them the last 2 trips with sitting for hours at dining places :rotfl2:

So they TOLD me (didnt ask mind you..) that they will have a TS lunch and that is it! They are planning on eating CS for dinner to free them up to be where ever they want to be in the evening without sticking to a schedule! They said they would much rather get something at Gasperillas for dinner and go swimming :scared1:

We shall see how much complaining they do while standing in line for fast food :rotfl:

With that said, I was thinking Japan is a nice half way point in the world showcase. It would be nice to get out of the sun for a late lunch. We love that type of food but living in New Orleans I am spoiled when it comes to food :rotfl2:
I am one of the few who look at Dining at Disney as downgrading :rotfl2:

I'm sold!! Guess I'm going to be adding KTTK to my ADR/reservation list....How far in advance does this have to be booked?? Let me guess 90 days...that seems to be the magic number these days...:confused3

Yep, 90 days call 407 WDW-TOUR. Discounts are available, we usually get a discount using the Disney Visa.

I took that one AGES ago, it sounds so much better now. I also took the Around the World Epcot tour before it was on a Segway, I thought that one was really interesting. It makes you look at the countries in a different light. DH is taking that Segway tour again along with the Wilderness Segway, he's just addicted to the Segways! I honestly don't think he cares about the Disney tidbits :rotfl2:

Since he's doing two tours, I think I'm going to hit the spa twice this time. It's my birthday and I can use some mommy alone time! :cloud9:

I don't think our warm weather is supposed to last forever......I actually think the temps are supposed to drop later in the day tomorrow (NOT good with heavy rain :scared:) and possibly snow flurries at the end of the week :sad2:. Even though the ground will most likely be too warm for any snow to stick, it still has to be cold enough for it to snow.......which means no more 60 degrees until the next warm spell comes along . Speaking of.....Maxie.....where are you with the spring countdown :rotfl:.

I am just a lunatic when it comes to things laying around untouched :rolleyes1. DH is always making fun of me because he says I can never sit still and relax :rotfl: :rotfl:. But I can't help it......I guess it's in my blood to get things put away as soon as I can .

What tour did you do at DHS?

The tour we did was Inside the Animation. This was back when they had the Disney Institute. The best part of the tour was painting our own animation cell we got to keep :) The Safari tour we got to go into the animal barns. It was so cold they had to keep the animals inside into the morning so most were still in the barn! They don't promise you will see any animals but we we only 2 feet away from the white rinos (a mother and baby). It was amazing:cool1:

Brook, I love Kevin's reviews from the Dis Podcast! He gives very detailed reviews. He reviewed Teppan Edo on the 10/23/07 show. You can download it from I Tunes, just search "Dis Unplugged".

Kristin did say she loved it. :thumbsup2

But isn't that review done before they closed it and refurbed it and changed it all up?

I thought they changed it with the closing but I could be wrong ..its been known to happen once or twice :rolleyes1

That TS at lunch is not a bad idea:idea: ...especally in the summer...it probably is a great way to take a midday break in the parks....:)

We have taken a pool break and gone into GF Cafe and had lunch and it was very nice!

Have to think about this....here goes my ADR list again....:rotfl:

Check out the Wave at the CR.

http://www.wdwinfo.com/reviews/the-wave.htm

I have yet to hear one bad review about it. A very close friend of mine dined there in August for lunch with her family and LOVED it! They didn't have ADRs, just walked up. She said it was such a wonderful surprise, she didn't expect to love the meal as much as she did.

Well thats what the DH and kids are trying to tell me... hot part of the day ... sit inside and relax but by dinner, everything is starting to cool off again and the parks won't be so killer hot. If we dress for dinner then they won't want to go back into the parks all dressed up :confused3
This way they can go swimming if they want to or go back to the parks when the sun goes down .... I HATE counter service meals so I am not thrilled about this arrangement but I have been out voted!!!!

Mare Thanks for the tour info!! As always you are the info gal...:goodvibes

My 90 day list is growing and growing!!! ADRs...cabana...tour!!!

Morning all!!

I was having a very Kelly night- by an hour after I got home my laundry was washing, the suitcases were put away and the toiletries were refilled in the bathroom drawer. All the kids had their hands out when I walked through the door- they didn't miss me- they wanted their loot! :confused3

Some guy had a heart attack on my plane- I thought we were going to have to land in North Carolina to evacuate him...but they got him stabilized and kept moving to Maine...SCARY!!! :scared1:

I had so much fun- my sides still hurt from laughing. Blue Deb- I am so sad I missed you. Next time!! :)

You're welcome! :flower3:

I know, my list is long too! Same stuff as yours.

I just wish the extra hours would be released already. We're now thinking of adding an evening at the water parks. I heard on a podcast that the evenings are EMPTY! My son has never been in the pool at night, we just never gotten around to it. He would LOVE going to the water park after dark!
