Mando that is crappy! Is she better today? I hope your car was just a fluke! My Jeep sometimes acts weird the day it rains? And as far as the diet, tomorrow is another day!

morning!! i am here early!!!!!

I BEAT THE BUS DRIVER!!!

It's been a crazy one already. DH is out of town so when that happens the kids know they have to move it and things have to run like clockwork. Well...they should...it would make things easier for me. So...I get Lucy up at 530....she doesn't move....try again at 545.....ok....then at 555...she makes the bus. Then I get Z up at 6....I am thinking all is good when I hear the bus go by at 640. Then he comes into my room and tells me he needs a ride to school. HE has missed the bus maybe TWICE in all his school years.....so I have Jojo sleeping...and I was like CRUD. He was "supposed" to get a ride with a friend - the friend's brother locked the keys in the car!!!...no ride. So I went and semi woke up Jo and told her I HAVE TO RUN ZACK TO SCHOOL....and felt terrible about leaving...but did it. And it's awful cold and dark out. I was behind a car with a St. Bernard hanging out the window though...so I loved that.

Mandy, I hope your DD is better today!!!! Wow...you've had a bumpy ride....time to hop on a new bus. FAST! Today is a new day. PS! LOVE the little avatar!!!
Anyway.....a high of 16 today .....whoohoo.

Deb! I know....I was thinking of you!

My first response to Zack was...call ******* and see if you can ride with them. They had already left. ugh....it's fine....it was just a crappy way to start the day!! I was half asleep....usually I get the kids moving and then sleep in my semi coma state until I get Jo up & moving.

I chugged down a cup of caffeine....but I am ready to go back to sleep.

I hear ya.......I'm in a routine that I get middle school DS on the bus at 6:40....then get other DS downstairs by 7:00......take him to school and come back to a nice brewed pot of coffee and get to chatting . But when one thing gets out of place, it seems to throw the whole morning off........like when neighbor kids call for a ride . But I am SO GLAD it's Friday and I'm staying home today . I cleaned yesterday so that's done . Get some more coffee in ya and you'll be good to go .

I am watching ....well I WAS until Jojo came into the kitchen....the ABC News and GMA...and all they keep saying over and over again...and showing his nasty face....is how he is planning on marrying his 23 yr old fiancee in the next couple months....unless of course he is charged with murder. OMG.....

I don't know who is GROSSER....him or his stupid idiot fiancee.....

It seems like everyone is having a crappy day. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH can anything else go wrong? My car is stuck in the driveway on the ice and I have a flat tire. I was on my way to take DH to the Dr. I couldn't get the car up to the sidewalk so I went all the way down to the main road and tried to come back up when I got stuck. That 's when I noticed the flat tire. That is why I couldn't get up the driveway. Our house over 600 feet from the road and solid ice and most of it is up hill. Good thing DH wasn't with me. Can't take the chance of him falling again. Now I am waiting for AAA to come and change the tire and get me out of there, then I have to get the tire fixed. We also have someone coming to dump sand on the driveway, hopefully they get here before AAA or they may not be able to get up here. It is going to cost $300 to get the sand on the driveway. There is also an issue with a prescription that we couldn't get filled, but that is another long story. The guy that is putting the sand down just called and said he picked up the sand, but now he has a problem with the sander thingy and has to fix it first. I hope he gets it fixed and here before AAA. What is going on, is it a full moon or something. OK, rant over.

Mandy Sorry you had such a hard time yesterday, hope your DD is better today.

Morning gals!

I had no cable/phone/internet from 4pm to this morning!! Turns out the whole Upper West Side and East Side from 57th Street to 96th Street was out! Thank goodness the DVR still works when the cables out, we watched AI from the night before.

I made the coffee cake for the teachers and realized I should of taken a picture of it!!! I forgot! The office secretary couldn't believe that I made it!

BlueDeb: Way to go on a surprise Disney trip!!! Two days at the BWI-you'll survive!

Maxie: Hope DH is feeling better today.

Kristin: We hated the CBR. We only stayed there because all the Dxl resorts were sold out, it was a very last minute t-giving vacation (the year my mom died- I just had to get away) DH said if we never had to leave to go to the parks it would be okay. The transporation is just annoying. Isn't it the largest resort? We stayed in a preferred room location and were steps from the food court but the walk was thru the parking lot!! The pretty path by the lake took an extra 15 mins. If you really want the Pirates room, go for it. Just realize that you have to allow a lot more time for the buses. The also do a magical moment pool opening ceremony at 10am with pirates. Oh the other annoying thing is DME drops you off at the custom's house which is so far away from everything else. It's not centrally located like a "normal" resort lobby. I'd recommend PO-FQ for a moderate. It's small and everything is centrally located. The one good thing if you upgrade to a mod, you get the fridge!

Princess: I love all the Basin lemon sugar products. I just never know what flavor bath bomb I'm using since I bought the bath bomb barrel and have them all in there together! Is there a sale on the website?

I was listening to old Podcasts dining reviews last night and Kevin's review of Ohana and Whispering Canyon Cafe really SCARED me!!! I'm going to let DH listen to them this evening on our drive to the country. I want him to switch to The Wave and something else. I have to download Kevin's review of the Wave - its a positive one!

Just a short note this morning cause I have to get ready to go to 2 drs appts today...one with my mom then the other with DH....
DH is still in lots of pain...still on mega pain meds and on his iceman machine..OMG he is making me watch Mike North on Comcast Sports...that guy is the ultimate jagoff!


ICK...Drew Peterson....OMG disgusting, gross, psychopath,... we live about 5 miles from where he lives...he lives in Bolingbrook and we live in Naperville...my son saw him in a store a couple weeks ago....ICK...Scary! And these dumb brainless b**bjobs who fall all over him...White trash!

Wow, some of you have had a nasty morning already.

Channing - I love your website, you are awesome. I saw GMA today also, that is just nasty and stupid.

I've done a few loads of laundry this morning and 15 minutes of my walking tape. My dad is coming down in a little bit and he is going to go with me to get a tree. DH and I don't have any trees in our yard (or land was a tobacco field) and we talk about getting a tree every winter. I called a place the other day and my dad said he would help me since DH is at work. My dad has a backhoe so no digging for us. It is 43 right now, supposed to be 50 and sunny today - I'm sorry for all of your ice/snow problems. Hope everyone has a good day - Lisa.

Good Morning!!!

After a good night sleep I came back to my senses and realized that the pirate rooms are not worth the extra $400 This was supposed to be my "budget" trip and I have to cut costs somewhere (cuz I am not giving up good dining!!) I have never had an interest in CBR until these rooms and I just hated POR so much that I am not willing to do a mod again, KWIM? I will stick with our cute little Pop instead!!

Dawn, here is the meatball recipe:

2 lbs Jimmy Deans sausage (uncooked)
1 1/2 c. Bisquick
4 c. shredded sharp cheddar
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1/2 c. finely chopped celery
1/2 t. garlic powder

Preheat oven to 375. Line a 15 x 10 cookie sheet with foil (you will thank me for this step since this makes such a mess!!) Mix all ingredients together and shape into 1 inch balls. Bake 15 minutes until golden. Makes about 6 dozen.

Sorry about all the car troubles, injured husbands, and crappy weather. January is my LEAST favorite month of the year and I am sure all of us will be happy to see it come to an end!!!!!!!!!!!!!
