Kristin, since your bringing the stroller, perhaps you can leave the ponchos and umbrella in the stroller basket? The one thing I do love about the Baggalini is that it's small enough to go on the rides. It's easy to swing from front to back so you don't have to take it off when you board a ride.
If you search around, many people on the DIS rave about them and get a lot of stuff in them. I now notice them all over the parks. Especially the lime green ones
I would think a large backpack would be cumbersome getting on and off the rides.
I bought a small sunscreen on a binder clip from walmart that I hook on my bag so I don't have to take the huge bottle into the parks. You can easily refill it.
If this ones too small, search for a sling so it's easier for you to manage rather than a big daddy backpack.
