Deb - Yes you win with a scrapbook from 2001! At least there's a bunch of us who meant to do a Disney scrapbook!

OMG - My mom and I decided that for our trip next year, we would go during Food and Wine instead of December. The dates and info have just been released and how did I NOT see that in 2008 David Cassidy was one of the Eat to the Beat concerts! And Night Ranger! and Kool and the Gang and The Smithereens!! I love all that 80's music! David Cassidy was more 70's but whatever. I am psyched now!

I had a cleaning lady/ ladies when I worked. Also, when my kids were small. I didn't think I would need one but when the kids were babies alot of days it was a good day if I got showered and mabye unloaded the dishwasher!
After they got to school though I could do it myself and I've been the cleaning lady ever since....

Kelly Whenever I'm in Target I always find so many things that I NEED!...I love that one stop shopping!!!

Maxie I cant believe it was a mouse again Maybe this will be the end of it...We had a mouse running around our den once...DS and I were chasing it around...it was like a comedy show...me screaming...the mouse running!!!

Channing That chipmunk story is hilarious!!! Imagine your DH driving along with them getting out of the cages!!! OMG...I would have jumped riight out of the car... glad the sleepover went well...and that you got some sleep too

Lcae I remember those days with all of the sports..alot of running around...now they can drive and run themselves around...not sure if that good or bad...

Princesses Your new avatar is so nice too...I want an avatar...going to have to work on that...

Princesses Do you take a Disney trip every year with just you and your Mom...that is sooo nice...

I have taken quite a few just DD and I...makes for a great time IMO and wonderful memories...

My mom and I went just the two of us one year for Mothers Day...it was great...

I love the 80s music too...and didnt everyone have a crush on David Cassidy.... OMG I'm getting old!!!!

Chan: So that is where the chipmunks came from. We had a squirrel in the basement once. DS thought it was a rat, he saw it out of the corner of his eye and said it was too big to be a mouse. We got one of those have-a-heart cages and he was putting cheese it there, and every time he went down the cheese was gone, but nothing in the cage. Then he finally saw what it was. It took over a week to finally get it. He put a big bowl of bird food in and the squirrel finally went in. He must have been getting the cheese out without going in.

Deb: My cleaning lady used to clean our office and that is how I met her. I knew her quite awhile before I hired her, so that made it easier. You do need to find someone you can trust. I would get a new car in a heartbeat if I thought I could sell my car for what I owe on it, and with this economy that is doubtful. I think I will have to keep it another year before I get to that point. That mouse thing really creeps me out. They didn't say how it got in there, but that it happens sometimes. When it is cold they like to go near the engine because it is warm. I just can't believe it happened twice.

tete: She didn't tell me where she was moving to. She probably thought I would call her and beg her to come back.

Afternoon

Dh and I got a night off! My MIL told us we needed some time off and took the kids yesterday afternoon till after lunch today! We are in love again!

We had the best time! We have so many gift cards and we went to dinner, the movies, and then another restaurant from dessert and drinks, yes DRINKS! (i'm preparing for feb! LOL) Then got up late and had breakfast and went to the mall. We did not spend a dime because of all the gift cards we have been saving The funny thing is we have tons more gift cards and could do another weekend.

It was sooooo nice being child-free for 24 hours! We had LOTS of crazy fun Mabey it was all the drinks!

The mall was not so fun..... I was looking for a few new pairs of jeans and I had a horrible time and after trying on like 25 pairs i said forget it..... my Anne Taylor and Chico jeans are so worn out...... I am hoping to loose a little before i buy some more. I have always had a hard time finding jeans that fit me correctly, when I was a size 4 the back gapped because i have such a deep sway back..... I found two types that fit me at my current size but I just wanted a cheap pair since I plan on loosing a small child in weight

Dawn - I used to do Creative Memories big time. I did a baby book for each of my kids and I'm so glad I did. They are adorable if I do say so myself! Creative Memories made it easy and cute for non creative people like myself!! I only did 2 other scrapbooks and I used to take so many pics that I got behind and then never caught back up. I need to get going on a Disney one. I bought a bunch of stuff at DTD a few years ago and it is still sitting in my closet untouched. We have a couple scrapbooking stores but I think Target has really cute scrapbooking supplies and the prices are much better.

I do digital scrapbooking and I LOVE it! Nothing to glue or cut or stamp....... It is all on my cimputer and if i get a page together and then completely change my mind on teh lay out ect it is so easy to change it! Oh, and Creative Memories has Disney stuff in digital! I do think they either filled bankrupcy or something. I need to check with my lady to make sure i can still get stuff?

OK off to get stuff ready for church! We have to get all the clothes steamed and shoes and socks together so we are not late! PLUS I just remembered i have to go early ..... back to singing for the service..... DH is gonna be so happy, because that mean he has to dress the kids all by himself. Poor guy, he is a good sport and does it with out complaining.

TTYL! When I get on Monday morning I'm sure I'll have 10 pages to read!

I got one of those 40% off passholder thingys in the mail today....addressed to none other than the stranger that lives with me. HE has a different last hame than I do...and I always make our ressies in MY name....wonder if that's why HE got the discount thing. Hm. I am happy we received it...but the dates are cruddy IMO. UNLESS....they will let you check in on the last day of the dicsount and it carries thru. Maybe I could secretly book a Xmas stay. THEN I have all year to work on my family.

My break is probably over......ttyl.

Maxie.......I'm with you......once with the mouse is freaky...but twice . But I hear ya on the new car thing . DH kept telling me to sell my Yukon and get a new one since mine's 6 years old.....but I told him I wouldn't be able to give the gas hog away even if I wanted to . With the economy the way it is, everybody is looking at how to cut costs rather than add costs at the gas pump . It's nice you had someone you knew to clean.....that's about the only way to do it nowadays with so many crazy people out there .


Mandy.......Yay for your night out with hubby . I'm glad you had a great time and were able to enjoy a night without the kids . WTG on all the gift cards .......having those to spend rather than your own cash makes for the best shopping sprees . I never heard of digital scrapbooking.......that's different .


Wendy......Sounds like we all have good intentions of starting to scrapbook but just can't take that first step to begin . We need to all move by each other so we can have our own scrapbooking sessions and get each other started .

Well...I didn't...DH did. and he was giving me the business that it's addressed to HIM and he doesn't want to spend thousands on a vacation......yada yada.... What evah. I have my ways.

BUT...it says "Passholders save 40% off a Disney Stay"......and then you open it and there are dates. The dates just aren't great with school age kids.....but I understand they need to fill rooms. It doesn't say a special thingy just for YOU....it says PASSHOLDERS....so I don't understand why only some lucky few have been chosen. You have to book by March 31.

There is a long number "code" near his name on the address.....not sure if that's the secret CODE...because it's out there....right near his name....but it's all highlighted in yellow.

GOOD LUCK! I hope one comes your way. Maybe it's alphabetical? His last name starts with an S. I know Denise's starts with a letter before that...and mine is after. hm...

I've seen ALOT of people posting that they have gotten this offer......makes me wish I had gotten an AP last year instead of waiting to get them in June . Are they offering alot of dates??? I'm hoping they have some good AP rates for December '09 so I can snag a deal . I'm going to book Dec as AP+Dine so my great TA can just add the code should one become available .

I say book that Christmas trip .....what have you got to lose ??

I like your way of thinking . I'm the same way as DH hardly ever has any idea when I plan a Disney trip.....I just give him the dates, tell him where we're staying, and he's like "OK"......and he knows no different . Not like he would have much say anyway .

I hope that's it. I am a passholder and our last name starts with a T. I'll be checking Monday's mail. I could make the dates work for us. Our anniversary is in October, our date is not there, but for 40% off we'll postpone it a week. We could also go in November. There is still hope.

I have to tell you i was like! And told DH it was a coveted code! He was like ok.....

Just back from visiting my friend that had a baby! She tried for 13 years even had 2 rounds of in-vitro and even considered using a surrogate. They gave up and adopted a little baby boy from Guatemala and brought him home last year on Thanksgiving day. She had her baby on the 30th! She was 4 weeks early but healthy at almost 7 lbs. It was amazing holding a true miracle!

Evening all. I rested too much this morning, so this afternoon I got in gear and cleaned the house real good.

Amy-The hockey game was fun last night. The final score was us 2-1, us winning. It was really cold in there (go figure in a hockey rink) so after the game we stopped by Starbucks and got some coffee.

Dawn-I love to scrapbook. My cousin got me into Creative Memories about 8 years ago, she gives me her 30% discount every time she orders. I have a closet full of albums, stickers, paper - all of that stuff. Some of the girls in my church scrapbook once a month in our fellowship hall. I take tons of pictures, so it keeps me motivated. I've done a few digital books with Shutterfly, I like them too, they are just different.

Mandy-I hate jean shopping also. I've lost 15 pounds since September -just started exercising and eating smaller portions. I had to go jean shopping a few weeks ago and it wasn't too bad, I was very lucky that day.

Channing-I thought of you last night at the hockey game. They showed a clip of SNL and the cow bell skit with Will Ferrell . I started laughing so hard, my DH could not figure out what I was laughing at.

Okay, I need to run and start supper. I hate messing up the kitchen after it is clean, but I went to the grocery store today so I feel guilty if I don't cook something. Hope everyone has a good evening - Lisa.

Maxie, YES!! I hope you get it!!! I know Mandy just said she did and she is also an S and her name is just a bit before DH's in ABC order! THERE IS HOPE!! I have to tell ya too I was reading about it on the CODES board and people are reporting (mixed but still) some luck calling and just asking for it. GOOD LUCK!...the October dates I have are til 10/3 and then 1025 to 10/31 (and that includes the night of the 31st) Nov are 11/15-21 and then 29-dec5.

Lisa....wow good for you for cleaning the house!! we are busting our tails getting the Xmas down in here....but now it really needs a dusting! LOL on the Will Ferrel!

Hi, Deb. Well it's put away. OMG.....mega project...not outside stuff though...that will stay a while longer.

it always feels so clean when the Xmas stuff is put away. I have a lot of stuff in general...so the addition of the Xmas is fun.

I have seen lots of new GF folks I have seen lately on the boards.

I have finally got all my bedding washed and dried....and can put my bed back together how I want it tonight. Woudl you believe that pup had the nerve to jump up in the morning adn try and get all cozy with me?!?!? NOt happening. I forgave her...but I didn't forget.

I am worn out and achy and bleah. JOjo's friend stayed over again. They are so cute together and have a lot of fun so I said fine. I think HOPE they crash early. They are now becoming WIRED. I told Lucy lets stick them in front of the TV with "Horton Hears a Who"....it was my secret weapon....but she said they watched it with her in her room this morning already!! Eeek. Hopefully they will chill out.

Chan.......Glad you got all your Christmas stuff down . I know what you mean about the house feeling cleaner with all that stuff put away . I have SO MUCH as well and there are some years that I don't even put everything out because it gets so overwhelming and I just don't want to deal with it . Plus it's that much more to put away after Christmas when all I want to see by that time is SPRING and nice weather .

I'm sure Jojo and her friend will be fine . I hear ya though about them getting wired when you're ready to crash . My two are going to have a rude awakening come Monday because they are in NO WAY ready to start getting up at school time again . But just think......all of us can chat away Monday morning in peace with our coffee in hand .
