Wendy...ok i ordered the slap soles...but its hard to pick out the ribbon, peanut color and toe color! I usually wear a 8-81/2 so i ordered a 9
DD had 2 bottles of body glide so i already swiped one and put it in my makeup case for Mar....

Dawn- you should be okay - I wear an 8 or 8.5 and I usually get a 9 , but I have gotten 10's before. Eliza B's run small. I have a narrow foot so the 9 is usually okay. I should have told you to order up a size but you did the right thing! As long as they're not monogrammed you can exchange them for a bigger size.

Which ones did you get?

Bluedeb- We have a lot of shops around here that carry Eliza b flip flops. I have a ton of them! They are super cute ribbon sandals by Leatherman. If you go to elizab.com you can make your own! Order up a size like Dawn did as they run small. I think it does say it on the website even.
The slapsoles are their new comfy style.

Wendy......It's always nice having your refund early . I also just like getting all that tax stuff done and out of my hair........that's something that I hate hanging over my head just waiting to get done . But then I do love seeing that refund pop up in my account in February .

Hey....I wanted to ask you.....I got online yesterday to look up the number for Maggiano's as we might go for DS's birthday next month.......I thought I saw a Naperville location but didn't click on it........did they build one in Naperville . I was going to go back and check it out but never did get back to their site .


BlueDeb.......Nothing yet on vacation dates . I am meeting my brother for lunch tomorrow so I will get the scoop from him as to what's going on. I don't care when we go.....just as long as we go . I will know more after tomorrow .

I can't believe how many of you already have your refunds. We always have to pay, so I'm never in a hurry to get the taxes done.

There is a thread on the restaurant board about peeps being on hold for 3 hours this morning trying to get ADR's. Last week when I was on hold, I hung up and decided to let IPO make them. I was having second thoughts when they messed them up, but now I know that was the right decision. At least I wasn't on hold for hours.

What road do you exit off of 88???? I'm familiar with the area just not the street names (other than the main ones) once you get off of 88 . And what is White Choc Cafe.....sounds YUM....or is the name deceiving . We always go to the Maggiano's in Oak Brook but Naperville is just right down the road.....so either one is good . Woodfield isn't bad.........but I think it is just a tad bit farther than Oak Brook/Naperville area .

I couldn't believe our refund came as quick as it did. Our taxes were electronically filed on 2/11 and I was told the deposit would be in my account on the 20th.....I told DH not to count on that as it seemed too quick . But come the morning of the 20th I called and it was there ........and our state refund had been deposited on the 19th.....and I didn't even know that .

I can't believe a 3 hour wait to make ADRs . I'm one to hold for awhile......but 3 hours is a bit much . I can't believe someone would actually wait that long .

deb....you would get off at Napervill Rd..then turn right...it is a new area for hotels, and dining....you can see it from 88 too!
We ate at Oakbrook for my graduation in Dec....I didnt think it was that great...I think the Woodfield location is better...

Dawn......I know exactly where your talking about . DH's sister used to live in Winfield and Naperville Rd was the exit we took to get to her house so I'm really familiar with that one.....plus that's one of the major roads going through that area . We started out going to the Woodfield Maggiano's until we found out there was one in Oak Brook........and since that's a little closer we only venture to Schaumburg when we take our yearly shopping trip to Woodfield the day after Thanksgiving . I'd love to try the one in Naperville though......how does that one compare to the Woodfield one ?

HI!!! WOW I have kind of had a busy ish day. I missed you guys!!!

Lucy had a friend sleep over...and she invited Lucy to go to Sunday School with her....so I was up at 8 am to make them bfast.....and then make sure they were ready at 9 for their ride....and then went back to bed to read.....

Jojo has a "cultural fair" on Tuesday so we spent a couple hours making her food item.....it's something my MIL taught me how to make and it is YUMMO....from Egypt...but it's one of those old world type things that takes a LOoooong time and lots of dedication to make. So...LOL....you know the last time I made it was when lucy was in 3rd grade and had this cultural fair thingy. Jojo made it with me so time flew....it wasn't as horrid as I remembered....adn we decided this should be a holiday tradition....so EASTER is the next time we do it.

That kept me busy...and when we were doing it....it involved Phyllo dough....I said to Jojo "Work it...Work it" OMG....DAWN...I just cracked myself up saying that....remembering the lobby at the GF that night after TRex when you kept saying that & there were knickers involved....

I LOVE the new motto btw!!!!! IT'S a KEEPER!!

I read it all so far...can't remember much....good about the taxes...Vanessa I hope Theo is a good new member of your family...he sounds LOVED DEb...we did our taxes and and got the refund that day too....Amy, great idea about the Sears outlet...I have those Kenmores that V has...paid way too much IMO..but they are really awesome...we didn't get the pedestals either...another $500 on top of the already extreme cost for appliances gagged me.

Blue...good luck on the bike purchase!! WTG for doing that.

AND...somebody said they make a HEALTHY DONUT?!?!?!!? OMG!!! That might be the best news I have heard in months ....I have not ever gone into our DD ....I just don't need the temptation...but if they are HEALTHY....

Would love to know what you gals made...I've never eaten anything with phyllo dough that I did not like... What did you put in the dough ...Egyptian...sounds exotic!

You know how we love to get new recipes around here...although I never get to make them as quickly as Lisa does!

Chan, The donuts aren't really healthy, they just took out the transfats. At least around here, not sure if they did it everywhere. The were better before. I don't eat them very often when I do I want a good one.

The Eliza Bs are not the ones in Summer Lace...they are super cute though...Wendy had a couple pairs with during our trip.

The ones in Summer Lace are Douglas Paquette...and they are SUPER comfy and cushy. I have several of those - bought 4 in Summer Lace in July. And wore them all summer.....They are very similar to Teva Mush but cuter...they didn't require any break in at all...and omg..you will LOVE THIS>..but the patterns are almost imitations of VERA B!! It is UNMISTAKABLE...I don't know how they get away with that?!?!? But...there are so many patterns that match Vera. There is a Douglas P website...

THEY didn't have much of any at all in Summer Lace ....as a matter of fact even Shopping Queen Siobhan was disappointed in the merchandise in Summer Lace in Feb .....kind of strange.....I don't think Siobhan bought anything there.....THAT is WEIRD.

OK! I will post that recipe!! It's just time consuming.....but they are yummy....and they pass the picky eater test (Jojo) I guess what really makes them different - they are filled with diff cheeses...is that you season them with nutmeg and ginger...and they have a tang to them...

Hi, Maxie!! Oh..I know what you mean....if you're gonna have a donut...have a DONUT>..not a whole wheat one or whatever...and I do not want to know what kind of fats are in any donuts. Or calories or anything. I never eat at McDs EVER because I have asked for their brochures with the "nutrition" information Ruined my fun. I KNEW it was bad for ya...but seeing it in print.... That did it.

Happy laundry and I hope it doesn't SN*W!!!! It is FREEEeeezing here.

omg...sorry...another post lol...obviously I missed chatting w/you guys...

If I change my summer dates to July..the air is CHEAP. I could do a flight June 30 to July 8...Or June 29 - maybe stay at YC for a couple nights and then do the GF for a week.....BUT...only GV or SL is available for that first week of July...but then we have dh, dd, and my bday in that week. And the 4th of July....We have APs that expire July 1....so I would just do the "package deal" with the tickets for July 1-8....and use the APs at the YC before that....

I am thinking...thinking GV for that week.....Hmmm......

Reading Deb's post re her brother's issues made me remember that....I am so not sure what to do.

Chan......I HATE all this uncertainty I'm dealing with . We usually stick with what I originally book.....unless we decide to change our trip altogether.......as in switching from say summer to Christmas or something like that . It's harder this time around because with having other people involved makes it a little harder since I can't just make a split decision on something and change . I think my sister is about ready to hang it up and say take her off the trip . DH told me to stay out of it and let them decide......which I am.....but I still need to know so we can either switch our current ressie or leave it alone. But they're the ones who have to decide on dates since DH and I, as well as my parents, can go anytime. But I am going to tell them that they need to decide ASAP because availability with the 4/3 deal isn't going to last forever.....so far we're good....but that can change in a second . Our airfare is the same whether we go June or July....so right now that's not an issue.......but that can change in the blink of an eye as well . So (hopefully) this will be settled by the next day or two .



BlueDeb.......Right now it looks like we're sticking with June.......the only way that will change is if my brother decides he definitely has to switch dates .

I joined in April '07 but didn't start posting until June or July '08 and I'm already to 2,400 posts . DS saw that the other day and said "YOU HAVE THAT MANY POSTS ALREADY"?????? I asked him what he was trying to say by that .
