Hi!!!

Seriously I was soooo stressing! It was a winter wonderland here! I am lucky that my power just came back on! A lot of people are still without! I even called a few hotels near the airport to see if they had availability for tonight and there was nothing!!!! Thank goodness my power is back,,,I cant say that enough!

Packing is such a chore....what to bring, what to bring???

I guess a vest would count....I am not sure about men's tangled sweater looks.....if you smoke a pipe while wearing it maybe that would help. And hold a brandy snifter. That might give you THE GF LOOK. Make sure Mrs. M is tangling her sweater....that way you will surely fit in. OH! And don't forget the little Ms....they have to have the look too.

Totally agree! I'd be uncomfortable with that too.

Last year DS4's preschool class went to Carnegie Hall by public bus! I was a nervous wreck. It's only one bus and it's not far, but just the thought of them on a public bus had me nervous!

Madison Square Garden is just so big and that area with Penn Station is just so crowded, I think I'd pass on that one. Unless you get more info from the teacher. How many parents will be going? Will they assign two children per parent? If it's well supervised, it might be okay.

Why can't they just go to the zoo like when we were younger??

i think there will be many many parents but i still dont like it.
They will be taking the long island railroad into the city.

PM's only hold 7000 characters, I had to cut the minor details out. I had over 9500 characters!

Look into the Swan, you'll have a nicer time. Chan knows how to get good deals there, even free rooms. Ask her to fill you in (I haven't stayed there in years, but it was nice and I'd return)

Mare.......We are just arriving on June 19th . I was actually looking at going the 12th-19th because DH's bday and our anniversary is the 13th .....but DH's nephew is getting married the 13th so that nixed that . So we chose the following Fri-Fri . We are planning ALOT of resort/pool time as well . We've been in June and July and it gets so hot that it will be a nice change to relax by the pool most days and hit the parks at night . Plus this will be our first stay at the GF so I want to enjoy it and take it all in . I'm sure you'll have a fabulous bday trip . I guess your complaint letter got some attention . When someone has major things go wrong, it's only right Disney steps up and tries to make it right.....I'm glad they acknowledged your letter and are doing something about it .

Marvel......I don't blame you about the school trip.....I wouldn't let my kids go if I couldn't be there . Especially to such a big place like Madison Square Garden .

Hey...I can't take credit for the craze...it was started on a TR....maybe you've seen the YC floor pics? I just remembered I had some to share, too....but we did really go into Gaspies and I think we even bought something.

Oh dear...I was just kidding about the pipe....you know how that can be so bad for ya......Maybe just hold it for a pose. That would be SO Fred MacMurray.(did I spell that wrong?)...but it would be!!!


Shel!!! I betcha I DO have some of those hidden Mickeys and characters in the GF carpet!!!! Wow! I am on my way to a great photo collection and didn't even realize it.

Probably the same nitwits that were there when we stayed there over Thanksgiving a couple yrs back.....I am so done with BWI. BWI=Sucko.

The only thing I can think of is that because it's Thanksgiving, they don't have the GOOD regular CMs working. THEY get the time off......

I just got the feeling no one felt like working or they gave us an attitude like "what more do you people want from us"

We honestly didn't ask for anything. They were useless, we didn't demand a refund, ask for crazy free stuff, nothing. Managers kept asking us if we wanted anything to ask. So once we asked for an impossible ADR and they got it for us. DH was happy with that. I wasn't. You're not shutting me up with an ADR, I need some real compensation!

Oh and if your wondering, they got us into Garden Grill on the day after T-giving. The day Epcot has the first CP and lights the tree. It was a zoo! A guest services manager from the BWI called the manager of the Garden Grill and got us in at 4pm when they opened. We were seated immediately by the restaurant manager. Our boys asked to dine here a second time. This was not our decision. My DS4 was practically in tears he enjoyed it so much earlier in the week. So making DS4 happy, DH was happy that the BWI got us in.

We only have one more year of traveling in mid June. Once DS4 starts 1st grade, he'll get out of school the end of June.

We're all looking forward to a lazy relaxing vacation. In Nov we were on the DxDDP and had to run all over the world for ADRs. Up at 5:45 am to make 8am at CRT! It was crazy! We're all looking forward to sleeping in, relaxing by the pool and staying up late in the parks. I wonder how long my little one will make it. He's usually asleep by 9pm on vacation.

Seriously, WTH is up with these carpet photos? I took photos of the drapes at the GF, I saw goofy and thought they were so cute!

No one felt like working that week!! The bellman were even idiots. DH called for them and they told him it would be a 30 min wait. I told him to cancel it. We got down stairs and the bellman were goofing off at the desk, all four of them!

Hi, Deb!! Yes....I have to remember what day in June we go.....19 or 20...something like that...I am not happy with it though...I want to go in July instead...and I don't like that it's a package.....I NEVER book packages. I am seriously hoping for a different deal. I don't know that we would leave for a summer trip so soon after school ends either.....I am on the fence on it...It's a great deal but too many things have me thinking I DON"T KNOW....

The Guest Services chick told me she couldn't do anything because I'm now staying at another resort. I told her she was crazy if she thought I was going to return to the BWI just for an upgrade!

It's "out of their hands" now that I'm in a new resort. It's the GF's "Disney Hospitality" that they're offering to make this next stay a magical one. Basically "yadda...yadda....yadda..yadda"

I'm now kicking myself for not asking for a larger refund. She told me the money would absolutely be refunded without question. Damn, why didn't I ask for an entire vacation refund? Maybe we could have haggled a deal??

You can see through to the entryway and sink area and bathroom. Bell services brought our luggage up right after this and we got our junk out and cluttered up the sink area! I meant to take a closer one before we left...

Wendy- I LOVE that room and I am smack, smack, smackin myself for given it up. I emailed Kelly this morning tos ee if anything had opened up while we were there but I am sure it is a NO GO! I was crazy to give up that room. I was trying to be all money savy and I could have always switched to GV. Oh well...it will be fine but that room looks AWESOME!

I am ready to drop. I just drank some wine and now I am really ready to drop. My house is clean though!

I am at my Dads in Malden. We lost power around 2am last night when a tree in teh neighbors yard got struck my lightening and then fell into the road and landed on all the power lines across the street.
We were told it could be days til get to us so we are down here. I have limited access to work emails. I hope this is fixed quickly but who knows.
