We had that weather yesterday. I skipped the outside work. I guess I have to do it today.:sad2: Kristin SAID it would be WARMER today.;)

Hi GALS!

Hope all is well! I went to the LL Bean outlet yesterday and of coarse the mall...Didn't I say last weekend that I wasn't going shopping on the weekends anymore until after Christmas? :confused3 Remind me next weekend...It is so cold here and I drove around and around until I finally found a close parking spot but guess what? There was no way my car was fitting into that tiny space! :rotfl: So I kept circling until I got one! :rotfl2: It normally annoys me when people do that but it was like 25 degrees. :cold: I did get a few things though!

Have fun raking Kel! Glad you at least like the movie! We might go see Bolt or I might go rent Wall E??? We shall see!

SHOPPING QUEEN:rotfl:

Morning all.....
Well yesterday we finally decided to get an artificial prelit tree....we always have a real one...but my mom cant have any live plants or trees around her. So I decided on a tree from Hobby Lobby and sent DH off to search for it well 5 hobby lobby's later we finally found one (in St. Charles) I guess everyone liked that style! Well it has white lights and I have never in my life had a tree with white lights....its pretty!

Today doing housework, homework.....

Shel...hmmm on the romantic weekend.....was it spicy??

Siobhan...Shopping queen partner...i was at Target yesterday and it was DEAD! Where was everyone?????

Hey I want a credit for SW...our spring break tickets are more expensive than the Thanksgiving ones!:scared1: Im hopeful they will still come down!

When is the ADR system going to open up for ressies in March..Anyone??

TTFN, Dawn

Where is everyone:confused3 it's quiet around here today. Now I remember why I don't go to the grocery store. After church we stopped at the grocery store because there is a bank and a Dunkin Donuts inside. It was crazy, no place to park and people just driving around trying to find a space. You would think they were giving away free food.:rotfl2: We just left and went to another DD's and will go to the ATM later. Went to target this afternoon and it was crowded and long lines. I stocked up on everything I need until after Christmas. I hate shopping in December, unless it's at Disney of course. 117 days until spring.:thumbsup2

Good Afternoon!

Wow Dawn! I went to Walmart and Home Depot looking for a fake tree and it was DEAD! I was like this is scary! :scared1: But i took it! Upfront parking and everything!:thumbsup2 I didnt see one I loved but I did see a real one that I was gaga over! No can do this year! I need someone to come water it while I am gone and I can't round up anyone! I dont know why..It's not like they are busy getting ready for a holiday or anything! So I left empty handed...Went to Building 19...you guys have those where you are?/ Love the slogan, "Good stuff cheap"! Kinda dirty, okay well a lot dirty but you can get good buys there! I bought some new ornaments for my new themed tree this year and they were a buck for 6! My kind of bargain!

Well.....I am FINALLY all decorated for Christmas :santa:. I got the tree up and all decorated today and I got everything else up around the house (inside) yesterday :thumbsup2. DH said he and DS will get the outside stuff up one day after work this week......but my work is DONE :). Now if I start my Christmas shopping I will be in good shape :rotfl:.

Maxie.......I've been decorating all day otherwise I would have been here :goodvibes. Last Sunday was quite too :rolleyes1. That's crazy about the grocery store . I think I would have left too . Keep up that spring count down :yay:.

Afternoon Chan :goodvibes......sorry I didn't catch ya this morning....as you can see from the beginning of my post I've been decorating . Hard to believe though since I'm still NOT ready for Christmas :rotfl: :rotfl:.

Dawn.......Glad you were able to find a tree ;). I bet it's very pretty with the white lights :santa:.

Can't believe Walmart was dead. Ours is crazy crowded all the time. I only go there as a last resort. Do you have a Lowes near you? Two years ago we got a very nice tree at Lowes, and it looks so real. Haven't been in this year, so I don't know what they have now. They usually have nicer things at Lowes. Hope you find a tree. Ah, Building 19, haven't been there in years.

Deb WTG on the decorating.:thumbsup2 That's what I'll be doing next weekend. Chan and Kelly must still be raking leaves.

Dawn ~ It was very quiet around here last Sunday too :sad2:. Every so often one of us would check to see what was going on and didn't see anything new so didn't post.....then found out later that everybody was doing the same thing .....actually everyone was around but just didn't know it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:.

Maxie ~ I'm so glad my tree is up and all the decorating is done but I wasn't sure I'd make it :rolleyes1. I think I'm getting the yuckies that everyone has been passing around . Hopefully it's something that will be gone soon .

Siobhan ~ That is scary finding a Walmart that isn't busy....the ones by me are ALWAYS crazy . Good luck finding a tree.....and WTG on the ornament deal....that's a bargain :thumbsup2.

Chan & Kel ~ How did the yard work go today :confused3? I hope you kept warm :goodvibes.

Deb :)

Ok, I finally got off my butt...the Groceries are shopped and put away, the x-mas tree is up and decorated, I went to see Twilight and the dishwasher is running. PHEW! I need a nap!!!

Chan

Is it wrong that my idea of cleaning up the leaves is to run over them a million times with the riding mower??? :confused3 They get so small they just blow away or sink in. :)

Oh Maxie, thanks for posting 117 days till spring. I hope time flies. What is the first official day by the way?

Went to the grocery store tonight while dh had the kids. It was nice buying stuff without the assistance of my munchkins. They mean well, but it takes twice as long when they *help* I think I am all ready to make my first ever TG dinner. I am 36 and this is the first one in my life I have ever done myself. We usually go to inlaws. This year my dad and stepmom are coming. Please wish me luck.

Evening Gals :)

Traci......Good luck with your first ever Thanksgiving dinner.....but I don't think you'll need it cuz you'll do just fine :goodvibes. I can't believe it's Thanksgiving already :sad2:.

Chan.......Two acres of wooded yard......now that's alot of leaves :scared1:.

I think I've caught the nasty head cold that has been going around . I feel worse than I did earlier :headache:. I'm going to go put on my pjs and vegg by the tv and enjoy my Mickey decorated tree :santa:.

I'll catch you gals tomorrow :goodvibes. Have a good night all :cloud9:.

Deb :upsidedow

Evening ladies! :goodvibes

One Thanksgiving dinner down one to go! :woohoo: We had dinner with DH's family and it was the country version! LOL! Ribs, pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad...... I LOVED IT! MY FIL makes the most amazing smoked ribs and pulled pork, he even makes his own sauce!! I wore my stretchy pants and totally pigged out!!:thumbsup2 I am a sucker for some good ribs!

I am exhausted we had a big church service today and there was a lot of singing! It was good, but man, singing that much tires you out! Something funny did happen. The sound guy kept making funny motions to me to try and tell me my mic battery was dead! He finally held up two pieces of paper that said MIKES DEAD, But it should have said MIC! I thought for a split second "OMG, WHO? Mike WHO, HE's DEAD?" I went back stage to get a new battery pack and i was cracking up with the tech back stage and told him to get on the head set and tell the booth upstairs that MIKE is a person and I about stopped the service to ask the Pastor to make an announcement about a MIKE! :rotfl:

Ya'll have a great rest of the weekend!

I have ALL the kids home ALL next week! I have project and baking planned..... you know what that means? Lots of messes and extra cleaning :rotfl:

What's wrong with that.:confused3 :rotfl2:

The first day of spring is March 20th. Good Luck on the dinner. Well I am 56 and I never made a turkey either, so don't feel bad. When my BIL was still alive, he made the turkey and brought it. Now I buy one already cooked, all I have to do is heat it in the oven for 2 hours.:rotfl2: It is actually the whole dinner, but I don't use the sides that come with it. I do make the veggies, cranberry sauce and pies. I just have no interest in touching a slimy turkey.:lmao: :lmao:

Deb Feel better soon.:goodvibes

Mandy :rotfl: That Mike story is too funny. Your Thanksgiving dinner sounds great.:thumbsup2 I would love to have something other than turkey for Thanksgiving. But then I live in Plymouth with the pilgrims, so it's expected.:rotfl2:

SHel...you know I love ya. ;) I don't care if you're a lazy butt. I am too.:rotfl2: I have not ever had to mow the lawn ONCE in my life! EVER!!!!! I came from a home where my dad took care of the lawn because that was his relaxation....5 acres of golf course manicured lawn.....:rotfl: He loved it.....it was his pride and joy so I never had to touch it.

Hey...I am looking down the evil #43 next summer and haven't done a turkey yet.... and the main reason we always go away for Thanksgiving ( EXCEPT THIS YEAR GOD HELP ME) is that I do NOT like dealing with raw birds and up until this year have escaped that wicked job. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: So...when Kristin and I went out to bfast a couple weeks ago she pointed out that the restaurant will do your THanksgiving "Feast" :rotfl: for you. So....that is my plan.:thumbsup2 The girls and I iwll make the extras....we love doing that stuff....but raw goosebumpy birds....ew. So not for me.

Traci...I wish ya luck, girl.:thumbsup2 Where've ya been?? We missed you!!

Maxie,
I went to the grocery store yesterday...It was a ZOO!!!! I forgot a bunch of stuff.....I have to go back tomorrow.

Deb!
I hope you get a lot of rest and feel better soon.

Mandy!! OMG..that is hysterical about MIKE being DEAD!!!! Sounds like a YUMMY Thanksgiving dinner you had today!:)

I am watching the "American Music Awards".....:thumbsup2

Chan

Chan do you all not have school this week? We have 2 days here then off Weds-Sun..BLISS! I am trying to get my homework caught up so I can enjoy the long weekend. Funny about the bird...I dont like touching it either..DH does it all!

Deb hope you feel better! Vegging is good!

Shel...I thought the same thing too!

Mandy sounds like a great feast!

Oh Chan, no explaination needed, I did not think you were being mean. I am a lazy butt most of the time. Truth be told I don't usually do the lawn either. I bought a ride on mower so that my teenage boys and their friends will WANT to mow the lawn, and I won't have to.

Deb- Hope you feel better soon!!

Maxie- Thanks for understanding about the leaves :rotfl2:

Mandy- I am glad "Mike" is ok :rotfl: That is so a mistake I would make!!! :lmao:

Traci- You went shopping without kids? I love shopping without mine :rolleyes1 !!! With them I tend to spend too much money on too much sugar!
