Amy.....You're so nice to listen to DF as I don't listen too well when it comes to DH so he'd never win over the heat . He knows I'll do pretty much what I want so he really doesn't even bother . I can't believe the heat at work still isn't working for you . That's just crazy .

Mandy.....OMG....too funny about your DS . How cute he's running for class president . It sounds like he's really liking school .


Chan......It's horrible today . I think Jojo was smart to wear her parka . DS wore his Arctic jacket that he wears snowmobiling......so I KNEW it was cold then .

Morning!

It is cold here the highs are only gonna be in the 60's and there is a freeze warning out tonight! This type of weather makes me want to put up a Christmas tree and turn on the Christmas music! It's gonna get warm again and I will not be in the mood to put up a tree and decorate Thanksgiving night It was so funny last night digging out the space bags with all the blankets in them and finding the bin of warm pj's, i know they are gonna go right back in!

Hope everyone has a good day! We are baking today, pumpkin rolls and some pumpkin chocolate chip muffins! YUM!

I know what you mean. We are only 45 min. north of Jacksonville so we never know if it will be cold at Christmas or not. It sure is freezing right now though. It must have been in the 50's this morning but felt much much colder with the strong wind.

Irisbud - Did you say it was in the 20's? I can't imagine. I think I will be sticking to south Georgia. I remember going to visit my husband's aunts and uncles in Ohio one winter and I thought I was going to die. I'm a little wimpy when it comes to the cold too.

Channing - We did have a good time at the Poly. You know - we have never had a really bad experience there. There was a time or two when they were bringing in new cm's that it wasn't as good though. We know a couple of the cm's by name in the concierge lounge and they always go out of their way to make our trip special. I really like it just as much as I do the Grand Floridian. Of course, when Christmas rolls around no place beats the Grand. I enjoyed seeing the pics. of Basin. I love that place.

I don't remember who posted the pics. of the redone cabanas but they really look good.

Well, I'm off to read a book to my precious little boys.

Hope everyone is having a good day today . This is the last full day for DSs this week . They get out at 10:15 both tomorrow and Thursday and then off Friday again (they were off last Friday, too ). So needless to say they're thrilled . But then no more days off until Thanksgiving.....which, BTW, is ONLY four weeks from Thursday ....in case anyone was wondering .

Channing, for the girls Halloween party you should go to the Kraftfoods.com site. They have some really cute and yummy looking goodies for your party. They show how to make a ghost in the graveyard dessert. I think i'm going to try that one.

Hello again! I know that some of you have spoken about the pre-trip blues, and I think I might be there...what if something goes wrong? what if it's not as magical, especially for Mark and Douglas, as we hoped? Do I really have it planned out as much as I should? Is it too late to plan some mroe...All these annoying thoughts are flying through my head! How do I get rid of them?!?

We leave in 4 more days!!! And OMG (as my 10 eyar old boys would say) I have SO much to do!!! It's not so much the WDW packing as it is the packing up the house - because we'll leave from this house (under renovation) and return to our temporary (during reno) house. There are boxes EVERYWHERE!!! The boys are really picking up on my stress level and have been driving me a little nuts. I am looking forward to having nothing to do but find ways to enjoy being together as a family. Whew!!!

We spend 1 week at Give Kids the World (for Wish Families), then move over to the GF - 1 night GV and 2 nights RPC. OK, just thinking about the GF has snapped me out of my funk.

Good Morning Gals!

Twinmum I always have pre trip jitters!! Are we going for long enough, is the trip too long, did I make enough/too many ADRs I make myself (DH too) crazy.. And as soon as I step foot on Disney porperty it all melts away....I cant think of anything except for enjoying the vacation...And what better way to end your trip than at the GF (RPC no less!).Wishing you and your family wonderful trip!!

Channing When we had a halloween party for the kids we made a punch with gingerale and added orange sherbert (scooped them with the melon baller (I think that what its called ) interesting combo...but the kids loved it...

Florida Girls..at least after your cold front passes it'll be warm again...our cold front will last until spring how many days unitl spring??...Maxie where are you...I lost count

Love all the new tickers...

Dawn Bet your ready for your trip-its just around the bend as they say... you too Kristin...I'm still working on getting a room for a few nights in December...the resorts are pretty full even in the beginning of the month (well the GF and other monorail resorts anyway)...

Morning Gals


Busy morning for me so thought I'd pop in here to say hi to everyone before starting my running . Today is teacher conferences/report cards for middle school but I just found out yesterday that only the middle school gets out at 10:15 today and tomorrow......not the high school . Needless to say......DS15 wasn't too happy . I just assumed if one got out early, they all did.....but I guess not . After I run DS to school I have to get back home and get ready to be at the middle school by 8:15. The PTO organized a walk-a-thon for the kids from 8:45-9:45 and I was asked to help . Then school is dismissed at 10:15 with parent/teacher conferences at 10:30 .


I better get going as it's almost time to take DS to school . Hope everyone has a great day . I'll be back later......TTFN .

I was supposed to go out to bfast with a friend but she just called and has a dd home sick....so it's off. I was looking forward to it, but I didn't sleep well last night so it's a bleh morning anyway.....probably for the best.

Deb, our schools are the same. The grade school district is different then the HS's and they are on different schedules altogether. Even vacation times are different! Crazy.

BS...that punch recipe sounds perfect...I am not a fan of sherbert but there is no explaining what kids like. Thanks for the idea.

I am still trying to move back into my house after our trip and kinda not in the mood to host a party! I told Lucy to plan it, make me a list, I'll do whatever.

Myra, that's great you had a nice stay at the Poly. I don't htink I like any of the other resorts near as much as the GF. It's very strange because 5 yrs ago I would have never thought of myself as loving the Grand. I thought it was blah and quiet and boring. NOT uppity though!! I miss the GF already....and I am still not unpacked and still going thru my photos.

It is cold here and I am bundled up! The girls are watching the NEW Tinkerbell movie and I am playing on the computer!

We are a lazy bunch today, but I need to get to folding some of the laundry I have been just throwing on the sunrooom couch
