Okay....am I the ONLY one here who gets the dining plan :rotfl: :rotfl:. We love it and get it every time :thumbsup2. I just like the fact that it's all paid for ahead of time and the only thing I have to worry about is my obsessive shopping at World of Disney and in the parks :lmao:. But seriously....I know it doesn't work for everybody....I guess we're just one of those families that it clicks for ;).

Hey all! Thanks for the anniversary wishes. :goodvibes

It was one of thsoe rough mornings where DD had 7 minutes to get up and ready and make the band bus.:rotfl2: We did it, though!

Have to get little DD off to school and then I think DH and I are going out for bfast. :)

No, Deb. I am so iffy about this October trip. I am kinda thinking of postponing it til January for little DD's bday. We have never been over HER bday. I just don't have that happy gotta go to WDW feeling at this point. There are too many things that haven't fallen into place and with the kids' school schedules and other commitments I am kinda eh about the whole thing. It doesn't feel right. Part of the trip fun for me is the planning and anticipation. I don't have that this time. Every once in a while I get the urge, make a call to dining and try and book a favorite character meal but can't get it.:rotfl: Ugh. I do want to go to the Halloween party though.

About Annual Passes......we've had them for years. They start the day you enter the park. Going thru the scan activates them. If you purchase ahead of time, what you'll get (or what we've had in the past - not sure if it's changed) is a .....oh geeze DH talked to me and I lost my train of thought.....you get a certificate thingy...(brain bust)..and then have to turn it in at Guest Services at a park anyway. I have been buying and renewing my passes at Guest Services. The only reason to purchase ahead of time is to access the AP website....which stinks anyway...and barely works. I did hear you can get the dining plan with an AP much easier now. I hate the DDP so it's a nonissue for me so I don't know a whole lot about it.

Have a great day, all.

Chan

How you get your DD up, ready, and out the door in 7 minutes is beyond me.......I could never do it :rotfl: I know what you mean about the trip and not having the excitement :sad2:. Although I'm a little bummed that we're not leaving tomorrow, I am actually kind of glad . We went at the end of September the last 2 years and let me tell you......trying to make sure everything is in place as far as all the ressies, contacting teachers for homework, making sure everything was set with school, packing, etc, etc, etc :headache:......I don't miss that AT ALL this year :sad2:. And not only that.....I'm dealing with a NOT SO NICE teacher right now  .....so maybe it's a good thing I'm here to take care of it :headache:. But good luck with making that decision.....I'm sure you'll make one you're happy with :flower3:. Have a great breakfast with DH and enjoy your day together :wizard:.

Thanks for the info on the APs........I'm thinking that's the way we should go....atleast for this next year :thumbsup2.

They are good from the day you actually use them at the parks. You will get a voucher that you have to trade in for the actual passes at one of the Guest Services windows. We have always had to show our Drivers license as well for DH and I.

Now if you decide to renew then they have the exact same start day and month. That is why we never renew unless one expires in the middle of a trip!

We don't do the dining plan so I can't help with that one!

HTH!:)

Thanks :flower3:. I thought you got a voucher but I wasn't sure. Is there any discount to renew when it expires or is it just the same price if you let it expire and then just buy new ones to get a different start date :confused3? Sorry so many questions but I just started looking into this since it looks like we're going twice next year and we could probably get a third use in for 2010 provided we go before mid July that year. Look at me....I'm already looking into 2010.....but I'm not obsessed at all :rotfl:.

Deb :upsidedow

Deb....that has to be hard thinking you'd be there now...HEY! I know the feeling....I had a deluxe club RPC GF room booked for DH and myself!! :lmao: We would be there NOW, too!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I think I had us checking in yesterday and staying til Sunday night...... I would love a DH and me trip...but my parents just bought a new house and couldn't be up here to sit with the kids while we ditched. Hey...the Poly is bleh. Think of it that way.:rotfl: You are waiting for the BEST. Maybe we'll see ya there at the GF in July. :thumbsup2

If you renew APs within 90 ? days you save like $40 on each.

Ya..I just don't like the DDP commitment factor. Last July trip we wound up doing a lot of rearranging our ADRs last min and ditched on several as the heat just sapped our appetites. It always happens in summer there to us. I like flexibility. If you buy the AP you can get the DDE. IT gives 20% off. That's what we do.

Chan

Deb- I think the AP's are a good value if you go for more than 10 days. We get a DVC discount on our AP's so it's a no brainer for us! We were able to get in 4 trips this year. I have a girls trip coming up in December and my pass expires on December 10th so I had to be strategic about it and make sure I got the trip in before the 14th. So we are going the first week of December this year. Then I won't renew till we go in July or August (haven't booked it yet!)

Like Chan, we don't do the DP because we like to be flexible and I don't think I could fit a TS in everyday. We also fill up on the food in the lounge and end up cancelling ADR's sometimes. But I think it's great for people who like to do TS - definitely a good value.:)

Good Morning girls!!

I am in a BAD MOOD today so watch out!! :rotfl:

We get the DDP EVERY time. DH loves it  We ared doing DxDDP in Decemeber and are VERY excited :woohoo: We used to do the silver plan back in the 90's, which gave 3 meals per day. We have complained on every WDW survey that we have taken the past few years to bring back a DDP with 3 meals and we are tickled that they finally listened :cloud9:

RE: AP's we are getting them for the first time this year. Next year's trip would end on the day that they expire so it seemed worth it (Especially if we do the bonus June trip :thumbsup2 ) One question, are they paper or plastic? :confused3 My super fab TA is trying to work her magic so I can get them a day early too :worship: Help me obi-wan...:rotfl:

I have to go work out... see ya later!

OK....I just got off the phone with the MEAN TEACHER . None of the kids (or parents for that matter) can stand this teacher.....it is a worthless class (only runs for 7 weeks.....they have 5 rotation classes and this is one of them) and this class teaches the kids NOTHING.....very frustrating  :headache:. She gave the kids a Shakespeare project that is worth 200 points that she CLAIMED at open house they would have PLENTY of time in class to do.......NOT .........she's been giving them all this other crap to do in class.......and I specifically asked her at open house if it was to be done at home or in class, and she said they will have PLENTY of time in class to complete it and taking it home wasn't necessary . AND....she only gave the kids THREE WEEKS to do it :scared1:. I have a college degree and the magnitude of this project made my head spin.......I feel a major headache coming on :headache:. OK....off my rant....on to multiquoting............

That's what I figured.....with doing atleast 3 trips in the time we would have them, it does make more sense to do that than to buy the no expiration option on a 10 day ticket, especially if I'm not sure 10 days would be enough for 3 trips . Of course getting the APs might FORCE me to do maybe FOUR trips :lmao:....DH would love me for that :rotfl:!!!!

We did like the Poly but I know the GF is going to be SOOO MUCH better.....I can't wait  . That would be great if you were there the same time as us :thumbsup2. Oh do I wish July would get here already.....I'm having Disney withdrawals :rotfl:.

You're right.....not too much discount for renewing APs......you're better off just buying new ones if a different start date works better :). I guess the DDE would be just as good as the DDP :confused3. That's something I didn't think about but should look into . But we always do a TS for dinner every night, so either way we'd be making ADRs....but it's still something to consider .

Deb :flower3:

Kristin ~ Glad to see I'm not the only one who gets the DDP :rotfl:. I know it's not for everybody but we LOVE it :goodvibes. We have the basic DDP booked for July, but we have looked at trying the DlxDDP ;). I'll look for your report on that when you get back from your December trip .

Hey all...I signed off before but I am just so not in a good mood. Head achey and bleh. I feel like being a veg today. DH is already showered and dressed and ready to go out and have fun.:rotfl:

Shel!
!! I am glad to see you!!!!! We miss you!~ Oh...i would want to ring somebody's neck if that happened to me with the laptop.   I bet it was UGLY over there.:rolleyes1

Deb
...ya...you will love APs.

Princesses.
..LOLO...I know! Same here! :goodvibes You must be getting stoked about your Dec trip....I have seen you posting more than usual!!:goodvibes

Kristin
, you crack me up. Miss skinny on the DDP.:rotfl:

Deb that teacher sounds like a jerk. We have several of those. I seriously don't get why those peeps go into teaching.:headache:

Thanks, Amy!

OK...I have to decide what I am going to do today or I will just be blah. At least the sun is coming out.:thumbsup2

Talk to ya all later,
Chan

Chan....isn't that the truth......don't do teaching if you're a jerk and don't want to teach the kids anything  !!! She told me DS is very social and doesn't use his time wisely......but half the class didn't finish this stupid project either and were doing ALOT of it AT HOME  :headache:. I am sooo mad right now and my headache is getting worse :headache:. This thing was supposedly due LAST FRIDAY :scared1:. DS can't stand the lady or the class, so I'm not surprised he's being social.....but my biggest gripe is she told me they would do it in class with plenty of time but that's not the case :sad2:. She said she just wants the kids to do it and won't count off for it being late....but I don't trust her . I'M going to do the darn report myself and we'll see what grade he gets :rolleyes1. I know that's not the best solution but I just want to get this class over with!!!!!!!!! Why do some teachers have to be so nasty :confused3???

Sorry girls for the long rant.....I'm done complaining now . Have fun with your hubby today Chan :).

Deb :flower3:

Morning~

Happy 20th Chan! party: party:

WOW! That is something to be proud of in this day and age! :thumbsup2

Ok my dad is back in the hospital. He has a infection at his incisions sites AND a pulmonary embolism. Not good. They went back up for a appointment and they admitted him.

Chan We are collecting the Madam dolls too! I love em! I actually have 28 yo Madam's that my parents got from WDW before I was born!

Sheli Hey Hey Hey! Your DH is a turkey just like mine! HE has forgotten to ship stuff before!

Kelly My DH likes your nick name of cheeseball and insist on calling me that! BTW are you watching the Biggest looser? The Boston guys got kicked off last night and I was sad but they cracked me up. The guy said "How do you think I feel, I came on a weight loss show and gained 3 lbs! How would you feel if you went on a makeover show and got uglier?" I cracked up! They are kicking butt and have lost lots more weight! Yay for them!

OK that is all I can remember from what I read.....

OK I just read more!

We love were on the DXDDP in March and we LOVED it! I could not imagine being on the regular plan! WE ate at buffet breakfasts every morning and had Siggy dinners every night except the night we did 1900 park fare and HDDR! We were all stuffed the whole time and hardly used any snack credits, if we did we shared them. Our last day we went to the bakery on main st. and got all kinds of goodies to take home for friends and family! I adore Rice crispy treat and got a while bunch fro myself! LOL!

Someone asked about the AP's being plastic or paper. They are kinda a glossy papery, hard to explain but they are not like the KTTWC. We have to have our replaced sometimes because a cell phone or cc will demagnetize it. I do have to say I remember and have the cards when they took your picture and laminated it onto you card!

I love the Biggest Loser!!! I was flipping between it and the game last night. But I completely forgot about Dancing With the Stars :scared1: Who got voted off??

I worked out and I feel better, not as crabby. Guess I took out my frustrations on my weights :goodvibes

I am off to do errands... have a nice day!!!

Kristin

PS: Chan, OMG, I can't believe I keep forgetting to type this

HAPPY
ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

:goodvibes I am still around......waiting for DH now. I am dressed and ready to go and he's on the phone w/work. I think today is a bust. The story of my 20 yrs.:rotfl: I keep saying....oh well...there's always 25 for something fun.:sad2:

Mandy,
I am really sorry to hear about your dad. :guilty: I hope all goes well. My daughters have MA dolls my mom has given them thru the years. Jojo's are mangled. I let her play with them. My bad. But when I was a kid I had these adorable dolls in glass cases hanging on my wall. I remember being in my CRIB and reaching and trying to get those dolls down!!!! So....from those frustrated memories, I do let Jo trash her dolls.:rotfl2: LOL...my sister and I did work it out and we brought those dolls down haha...we had to have been about 5 and 4 yrs old tops...We were probably out of our cribs by the time we got those suckers down....most likely we planned and schemed for years and were 5 and 4 by the time they came down because I remember REACHING and stretching from my crib for the nearest doll..... My mom was PISSED.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I remember her walking in on us as we sat on our rug playing (mangling) the dolls. :) We have all the McDs recent dolls, but need the munchkins and the wizard. I have to check today and see if I can get some of those.

Deb...that sucks about that teacher!!! I used to find myself doing some homework, too. Not anymore with the girls, but with DS I did. I was so resentful.....I have been thru school and don't want to do it again. :headache: I am really lucky this year so far all teachers for all 3 kids are good. But DD's friends have a real doozy. She really REALLY has a screw loose. She has a rep with all the parents & kids and the school needs to kick her to the curb.

OK...DH is OFF the phone. Maybe this is it.....maybe we're going out to lunch. Skip bfast....we are such putzes. oh...hold that thought....not ready yet.....:rolleyes1

See ya all later....hey...where has Annette been? :confused3

Chan:)

Kristin - Jeffrey got voted off! I don't know who he is, a comedian I think, but he was partnered with Edyta.

You're good for getting your workout in early! I am getting off of here NOW and going to the gym! :)

Mandy - I missed the post about your dad till I saw Chan's.
I'm sorry to hear that- we will keep him in our prayers!

I have about 30 of the 8 inch MD doll's that my mom and I started collecting when I was 7! I started DD when she was a baby. They are in a cabinet and she is allowed to carefully play with them! I have a lot of originals and they are up high and she knows that those are mostly to look at! Channing do I sound like your mom?!? LOL! I love MD dolls! I've been trying to figure out which 2 to get her for birthday and Christmas! Did you see The Little Mermaid? I love her but she doesn't have red hair!? :confused3

Mandy ~ so sorry to hear about your dad . I hope this is a minor set back and he's back on the road to recovery soon :flower3:.

Chan ~ That's too funny about you and your sister and the dolls . On the homework thing.....I tell my two all the time that I've been through middle school and high school already and I don't need to go through it again  :headache:. I'm almost tempted to chuck this stupid project and not do it at all . On one hand I don't want to teach DS that that's ok....but on the other hand this class is not a core class and it's so stupid.....none of the kids learn anything from it :headache:. I worked on it a little but I had to stop looking at it for awhile because it's just making me more mad . Maybe DH will have an opinion on it when he gets home.....I seriously doubt that, but it's worth a try I guess :rolleyes1. I can pretty much guarantee his response will be "Don't do it....I wouldn't". Boy do I need to be in Disney right now :rotfl: :rotfl:. Have a great lunch with DH....that is if you go :rotfl: :rotfl:.

Hope everyone's enjoying this beautiful day :).

Deb :flower3:

Hello All :)

OMG......DS just got home 1/2 an hour ago and the MEAN teacher really gave it to him IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS  ....all because I questioned her on this stupid project!!! AND.....when she called me on the phone this morning......IT WAS DURING CLASS....DS'S CLASS   . Boy she sure doesn't know who she's dealing with.......I am fuming.....you don't do that as a teacher!!!!!!!! I'll be having a nice meeting with the principal first thing tomorrow morning!!!!!! I am sooooo angry right now    . I guess once she got done reeming DS his classmates were like "WOW"!!! Of course DS can't stand her so it didn't effect him at all.....he said he had to keep himself from laughing while she was yelling at him :rotfl:....I'm glad he wasn't embarrassed....but he's got alot of buddies in that class and they all know how she is so he was fine with it. But the best part is what she said....she told him "I am about to get into a fight with your mother about this Shakespeare project and it's not my fault"........CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS WOMAN????? She's got NO RIGHT to talk to my son or any other student that way....especially in front of other students!!!! I told you gals what a WITCH she is :rolleyes1. I'm still in a little bit of shock . And to think I thought it was a GOOD thing we weren't leaving for Disney tomorrow :rotfl: :rotfl:.

OK.....better get going as DH will be home soon ;). Thanks for letting me vent.....I promise not to rant anymore today :rolleyes1. I'll catch you gals later :flower3:.

Deb :cool2:

Hi Gals!

Deb OMG what a saga...I cant believe your DSs teacher did that to him:mad: Very unprofessional...If she had an issue whith what you questioned she should have taken it up with you....I'd go right to the principal too...dont let it ruin your day .....

I never considered the DDP but Dniece used it on our last trip and I saw how easy it made things for her and her family....considering it for next trip too:confused: (especially since we do like TS at dinner...)

Mandy sorry to hear about your Dads set backs:sad2: Hope hes getting better already..

Kristin What dedication getting your exercise in before you start your day...I have a treadmill at home and only use it half as much as I intend to...:rotfl: Well DH sometimes tries to use it...to hang his clothes on:headache:

Channing Hope your having a terrific day...if you decide not to go to Disney in October I think January is a great time to chase away the post holiday blues and get away from the cold...done it many times myself...Good luck making a decision:)

Hi Shelli! Nice to see you back...

Has anyone heard from Lesley since she got back from her trip...I was wondering how she liked the Poly after her GF trip??

Off to cook some dinner...have a nice afternoon everyone:flower3:
