Is Cloris Leachman hysterical or what? I couldn't believe she called her the B word either!! Everytime I look at her all I can think of is Frau Blucher from Young Frankenstein!!

Good Luck tommorow - you'll do great!:)

Hi Sheli - Glad you're back!

Hello All :)

OMG......DS just got home 1/2 an hour ago and the MEAN teacher really gave it to him IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS  ....all because I questioned her on this stupid project!!! AND.....when she called me on the phone this morning......IT WAS DURING CLASS....DS'S CLASS   . Boy she sure doesn't know who she's dealing with.......I am fuming.....you don't do that as a teacher!!!!!!!! I'll be having a nice meeting with the principal first thing tomorrow morning!!!!!! I am sooooo angry right now    . I guess once she got done reeming DS his classmates were like "WOW"!!! Of course DS can't stand her so it didn't effect him at all.....he said he had to keep himself from laughing while she was yelling at him :rotfl:....I'm glad he wasn't embarrassed....but he's got alot of buddies in that class and they all know how she is so he was fine with it. But the best part is what she said....she told him "I am about to get into a fight with your mother about this Shakespeare project and it's not my fault"........CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS WOMAN????? She's got NO RIGHT to talk to my son or any other student that way....especially in front of other students!!!! I told you gals what a WITCH she is :rolleyes1. I'm still in a little bit of shock . And to think I thought it was a GOOD thing we weren't leaving for Disney tomorrow :rotfl: :rotfl:.

OK.....better get going as DH will be home soon ;). Thanks for letting me vent.....I promise not to rant anymore today :rolleyes1. I'll catch you gals later :flower3:.

Deb :cool2:

Yikes - I would be fuming too! Hope your meeting with the principal goes well tommorow! That teacher deserves a kick in the pants!

Just dropped in to say Happy Anniversary Channing.:goodvibes

I would make it big and colorful if I knew how to do it.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

mickeynut: Sorry you are having a hard time with the teacher. Glad those days are behind me. We don't get the DDP either, we have the DDE. Works better for us. I don't like to be tied down to too many ADR's.

Mandy: Sorry about your dad, hope he is better soon.

Evening Ladies :flower3:.

I've settled down some from earlier this afternooon ;). Thanks for everyone's input and support.....makes me feel like I'm not the crazy one afterall :rolleyes1. I just thought I'd check in before calling it a night and say "thanks" to all my dis buddies who I knew would understand and let me vent :rotfl:.

Dawn...that is EXACTLY how I feel....take it up with ME.....DON'T MESS WITH MY SON .

BlueSkies.....I said that same thing to DH....she needs to come to me since my son has nothing to do with it....I'm the one who questioned her :headache:.

princesses......it's BS is right...and that teacher DOES need a good swift kick.....out the door :rotfl:.

Chan.....hope you had a great anniversary :cool1: :cool1:.

I'll catch you gals tomorrow :). Have a great night everyone :flower3:.

My dad is still in the hospital and he is having some issues that I honestly don't feel like repeating for the 100th time. Thanks for all your well wishes!:wizard: Hopefully they can patch him up and send him back home soon.

Dawn and all you other TV lovers!

WHOO HOOO! :woohoo: 24 hours from NOW I will be watching the Office! :cheer2: YIPPEE! :yay: ER and Grey's is back too. I am excited to see Noah Willey (sp?) on ER again!:thumbsup2 I bet they do a bunch of previous cast appearances since it is the last season! :sad1: I have watched ER since day 1! I was 13 but being raised by a cop and a nurse I had already heard/seen it all! I am bummed Kath and Kim is not on tomorrow, I was really looking forward to it!

I have a crazy day tomorrow getting DS updated physical and shot records and registering him fro school! He starts Monday and we have to get his list from his teacher and run like crazy that afternoon getting his supplies and a new pair of shoes. :scared: The good thing is his uniforms are kinda relaxed. Just navy khaki or denim shorts and red, white or navy polos! HE has a TON of khaki and navy cargo's and I found 2 navy, 1 white, and 2 red polos! I am not buying any right now. I may grab a few polos if old navy has them but no biggie! :thumbsup2

GUESS WHAT! We are going to Disney Friday AND Saturday! :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2: We are excited! We are not telling the kids, just getting in the car and going! It is gonna be a little suprise celebratory trip for DS since he is going to school! We want to just have a fun weekend just the 6 of us since he will be leaving us Monday for "real" school for the first time! :sad1:

Lets just say the weekend at WDW and The office is what will keep me going strong tomorrow! :cool2:

Night, off to eat my skinny cow! :rotfl:

Hello! NEWSFLASH!!! We saw (from a distance) Mickey and Goofy today!!! Today the "What will you celebrate?" Disney park tour came to Toronto. I had read about this elsewhere, and learned that there was going to be some kind of Disney event happening downtown, but we had no plans to participate.

However, we did have tickets for tonight's Blue Jays/Yankees game, courtesy of our wish-granting organization, Starlight Starbright. The boys and I took the bus and subway (and a lot of walking...great job Mark!), as we were going to meet Peter at the Rogers Centre. And what did we see just outside the stadium? The Disney Parks tour vehicle, where they had obviously been ginving out freebies, signing up people for free park admission on your birthday and so on. And rats, we had missed it. We could see as we walked into the Rogers Centre that quite a lot of people were sporting Mickey Ears - they looked like the "Year of a Million Dreams" ears, but may have been different.

The first pitch was thrown by a Make a Wish child! He was driven out in aN SUV, out he popped with Mickey and Goofy too! There were a number of promotions for the "What will you Celebrate?" campaign, lots of Disney on the sign boards and so on. Mickey and Goofy were on hand to celebrate the 75 Millionth fan attending a Blue Jays game - he and his family won a trip to WDW and season tickets for next year!

All in all, it made a fairly dull game quite a bit more excited and certainly had the boys jazzed up about our upcoming Wish Trip. The boys made a point of snuggling with their Disney stuffies (Goofy for Mark, Mickey for Douglas) which makes me very happy...first, that at age almost 10, I love that they still snuggle their stuffies some, and second, that they're excited as I am about this trip!!!

Channing: Happy 20th Anniversay!!! We have another year to go for that one...if we make it through this renovation, I figure not only will we make it to 20, we'll make it forever and ever!!! I hope you had a great day.

Have a great night!
Alison

hi everyone...
i've been up since 3:30am

its seems ive gotten a new back pain and its much worse than what i had before. it hurts to even breath in deep or out deep or to cough or yawn...
i swear im falling apart here :confused3
I've been googling back pain/breathing since i've been up and nothing seems to fit exactly what i have.
I cant sleep so i figured id catch up on the chat board.

Happy anniversary Chan. Too bad neither of us was able to go for a quick trip to celebrate.

Mandy, know that you and your dad and family are in our prayers. Enjoy your Disney weekend.

Cloris Leachman was pretty funny...i havent seen her since she was on the facts of life....yeah yeah i know im embarrassed to even admit it...

Good morning!

Happy Anniversary a day late Channing!

M&P- You better get that looked at and make sure there is not something more wrong. I handle a lot of work comp stuff with back injuries. You may need a MRI and if you have numbness down your legs etc it could be a herniated disc. Hope you get some sleep and feel better! :flower3:

I did check with Peggy and all is a go still for my Xmas stockings so she is still filling orders. :cool1:

I did get info from my TA on Tour Guide Mike and did get on his website to subscribe to try and put a tour plan together instead of spending money on a guide. He has a guide service also which is a little less expensive then Disney. The one thing I learned is that during the holidays we will need to be there at rope drop:headache: . Never done this before so it could be interesting.

M&P- I think you have used a guide. Are you using one for your upcoming trip??

Mandy~ I hope your dad is doing better!! Keep up updated!

Have a great day!!

Morning All :surfweb:.

Kristin ~ You're too funny.....and I WILL go get her :rotfl: :rotfl:.

Mandy ~ Hope your dad is feeling better soon and able to get back home . Have a great time at Disney this weekend :yay:. You need this after everything you and your family have been through lately :flower3:. And good luck with DS starting back to school :teacher:.....how exciting :). Don't be sad :sad1:....it will be fine :goodvibes. I homeschooled mine for 3 years....actually DS13 was 3rd/4th/5th grade and DS15 was 4th/5th grade....they both went back at middle school level (6th grade). It was sad seeing them go because I was so used to having them around ALL THE TIME .....but I knew homeschooling wasn't for the long haul.....and they're doing just great and love being back with their friends ;).

Vanessa ~ You are going to have a GREAT time over Christmas :santa:. But I'm with you....we've never done rope drop either :scared1:....and that would be SOO HARD for me to do....makes for too early of a day :rotfl:. But you'll make it and you'll have a wonderful time :thumbsup2. We've never been over Christmas but I keep telling DH that one of these years we'll bite the bullet and go over Christmas/New Years :wizard:.

I better get going.....almost time to take DS to school......then off to get the MEAN teacher :rotfl: :rotfl:. Have a good day everyone :).

Have a great day!!

That is not an exaggeration -- being there at rope drop will at least get you on a few rides before the army arrives...

Chan -- happy belated anniversary!

Mandy -- I've been praying for your Dad. Have fun this weekend!

Real life has gotten in the way of my DISing... this December trip seems like it will never get here. This is the longest we've been between trips and it's fairly depressing!

Have a good day everyone! :)

No numbness (yet) .... i seem to have the least amount of pain when standing straight up...or when im drunk

Regarding the guide...yes, i used one in July for the MK and DS.
I considered using tgMike's tour guide but i think the difference in prixe was only $25 an hour. I figured if i was going to spend so much anyway i'd rather try Disney's guide. And with the reserved seating for parades and shows and other little things (that an outside tour guide could not do) it was worth it!

I really want to do it again at Christmas. One reason is the crowds and the other is how much we got done with the guide. We stayed in DS from 9 tp 7 and didn't tired or over heated or cranky and we did just about everything.

Id like to use for epcot and AK now because we never see a majority of attractions in those parks.

As for rope drops since our younger one dont stay up late we are always make the ropedrop. Its fun to see the opening ceremony and you do get so much done in just the first 2 hours.
I'm looking forward to that 7am MK opening during Christmas. MY wife and kids aren't haha but I am.

Mandy - That's great about your weekend trip! Where did you decide to stay? What a great surprise for the kids!
I love the Skinny Cow Dippers!!

M&P - hope your back is feeling better!

Marci - December will be here before we know it! Hang in there!

Hope everyone is having a great day :).

The meeting with the principal went well :goodvibes. He said he will look into everything I told him and he would call me later this afternoon ;). He wrote down alot of questions to ask her....so we'll see what happens . Why can't school just be school anymore :confused3? I don't ever remember my parents having these kinds of troubles with teachers :headache:. The high school seems to be wonderful....not to wish my life away, but I can't wait until DS#2 is done with 8th grade and joins DS#1 in high school next year :teacher:.

I just came home to let the dog out and check in :goodvibes. But now that I've already been out this morning, I should get going and get some running around done :rolleyes1.

Catch ya all later :flower3:.

Deb :wizard:

morning all!!

quick note and then i have to get ready to walk!

Deb.
...that is so pathetic about that wicked teacher. I hope it all works out. I wanted to give you a pep talk before your meeting, but you're fast!!! I really hope the principal takes it seriously and does something to straighten her out. Our grade school p pal is good about that, but the middle school one...not so much. I hope you can have confidence in yours.

Mandy, I hope your dad gets better fast. You know we're all pulling for him & sending positive thoughts your way. I hope you enjoy The Office!!! And a surprise trip to WDW!!! Whoohoo!!!:cool1: :cool1: So...are you staying over night there? What's the verdict on that one??

Hey, Dawn!! You rock. :goodvibes Just thought I'd throw that in there since they are such bullies on the other thread. Bunch of crazies......

Marvel...I felt like that when I was 38. I started on a downward spiral.:rotfl: But things picked up at 40! Now I just get weird things falling apart here and there....nothing that's been consistenly awful...(knock on wood). I think you better see a doctor. I know men aren't so good about that.....but listen to P and go....I am sure P has been telling you GO TO A DOCTOR.

LOL....I could have been on the Chat with ya, Marvel....I got up at 3 am..then at 4 am...then at 5:08 am.....I was totally afraid Lucy would niss her 6:10 bus. Well.....I overslept til the alarm went off at 6 am. She had another 8 minute day to get dressed and ready.:rotfl: She made it!:thumbsup2 She has her alarm clock set for 5:30 (what an unGodly hour - it's DARK like night!) but we keep oversleeping even though it goes off.:rotfl:

Thanks for all the happy anniversary wishes!! It was an OK day. Could have been better....could have been worse. One of those days.

ok...Marci!!! It's good to see you here!!! Hang in there!! The anticipation is part of the fun!!!:thumbsup2 I hope things are going well for you.:goodvibes

Hey, Wendo.
.you rock too!:rotfl: No points = you ROCK!:cool1:

OK..I do need to move my tail & get ready to walk.

Talk to ya all later!
Chan

It is so nice to be back again!!! This place feels like home :)

Chan- Happy Belated Anniversary!!!

MickeyNut (Deb) OMG!!! You are an amazing woman to have not flipped out on that teacher then and there. And good for you on doing the project for him...sometimes teachers forget that kids are kids...NOT COOL!! I have done my kids work when I find the assignment to be stupid. Don't tell on me :) (And this from me- a high school computer lab teacher!!) :)

Dawn- I'm back, Keith is an idiot...my Vaio just went out to repair yesterday...when I thought it went out 2+ weeks ago. It was sitting in his car!!! GRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I got my computer here at work to let me back on the Dis to post. None of my other chat boards let me post, but this one does. I won't complain as long as I can still be in touch.

Mandy- Have fun at Disney tomorrow and saturday! I am insanely jealous!!! :) How fun for DS to go to school. I hope he loves it! I am sorry your dad is having a set back. My thoughts are with all of you

Kelly- I miss talking to you planning a trip. I need a new trip to plan!! :) Of course Keith said no more family disney until Emily is big enough to ride all the rides... DAMMIT!!!!

How are Andrea and Brook after the flooding? I havn't gone back to read all the news from weeks of missed posts. Dis everyone make it through the storms with minimal damage?

I am in a funk with no Trip to plan...not to Disney or anywhere else. But I might be going with some friends in March if we can all get rooms together, but it is still in the iffy stage so no planning yet.. I need something to plan!!!! LOL

Hi Shelli!!! :dance3: We've missed you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need to go work out, but I finally read all the posts (I only saw Deb's before)

Mandy- :wizard: :wizard: for your Dad. Enjoy the impromptu trip!! :woohoo: And super duper congrats to DS for getting into that school!!!

Chan- did you make it out for lunch yesterday?? What did you decide about October. Of course, I think you should go now AND in Jan for JoJo's bday!! :rotfl: Seriously, let the kids decide... if they are up for it then go and have fun!!!

Marvel- Please, please, please go see a Dr. before this gets worse

Hi Marci! I hear ya about December not getting here soon enough! :santa:

BS- WE WANT PICTURES!!! :rotfl:

Dawn- if they don't win tonight

Have a great day all!
