LMAO...ya...what's with all the sheety posts? It usually gets really amusing once one of those simple question posts goes past 2 pages. Twists and turns and all the critiquing and changing the real intent of the thread.....

M&P...I hope you're feeling better? Did you get some heat on your back? Did you make sure (if you were bedridden) to have THE WIFE change the sheets every day? Changing sheets is my most dreaded job. I make THE HUSBAND help me each time. OR THE KIDS......LOL

BTW..remember I said there was a new kid named Marvel in Jo's class?? Did I say that a while back?? Well...guess what? I was wrong. Big surprise...JO heard wrong. It's gotta be Manuel. That was the only "different" boy name I saw on the class list at parent night. Oh well....I am ashamed to admit I did want to see what type of peeps would name their baby MARVEL.....M&P...do you have funky parents?

Dawn...I am miffed about the SWA Ding today. My Sunday flight is the last one out for the evening...and I paid only $89 for that one....and now NONE of the flights on that Sunday are Dinged...even for $112 haha....AND I checked a few other dates and they are all back up. SWA is really skimping on their Dings lately. My Thursday to Thurs flights have not gone back down either. I am losing hope.

If this goes through the end of the week, DS will be in school on his birthday. So much for being at WDW on his bday DH will never agree to pull him out early when he is already missing a week in December.

My last hope is the board member who said the students will not be making these days up (scare tactic to let the teachers know not to count on getting this income later...)

Hello GF Gals!! I have been MIA for awhile. Life had gotten to crazy, that I actually had no time to DIS. (That needs to change ) We have had a lot of life changes here since school started. So, I apologize and trying to catch up here is almost impossible.

Mandy So sorry about all your Dad has been through, but I am happy he will get to come home soon.
I have to tell you I am all for the tattoo thing!! I only have one on my ankle of a dolphin that I got in college at age 19. My sorority sister and I got crazy and went and got one much to my parents dismay, but I could make my own decisions at that time. Yes, it did hurt especially since it is by bone and no fat, but childbirth is much worse Whats even more funny is that it can be hidden and then when people meet me and think I am a real good girl, they are shocked when they find out I have a tattoo.

I actually have been going back and forth about getting another one. I really want a tink, but I love your idea about the mickeys for your kids. It makes me think I should do something for my 4 kids also. My husband has 2. He got one in college, actually the day we got engaged. Then his brother and him went and got identical ones together that they designed. My brother in law just had twins and got thier footprints with names on his arm. He probably has 5 or 6 , and he is a teacher/coach. Let me know what you decide.

KristinHang in there with the strike, it is upsetting that they are being so greedy in this state of the economy.

Chan I love your stories about the kids getting up late, I have been there also, and my kids freak out if they think they are late for anything. She has to be ready so early, that would so not work at my house. My son throws a fit about getting up at 730. The running kids around is very crazy for me also right now. Now, the youngest of 4 just started her first activity, so it is downhill from here. I do love watching them though grow up and find what they are good at and love

Dawn!!! I am so glad school is going well, I hope you are loving it and all the hard work has paid off.
V I do pray this rain dries up for all us. Our business is going though the same pains. We can't work when it is wet also. The MTI school is supposed to open in Nov, but kind of hard when we can't even pour the floor or parking lot, ugh.....

One comment on the politics, I hope whoever gets in there can change this economy. Something has got to change. I can be swayed to be a democrat or republican, but that is my primary concern and I haven't heard to much about that. Oh, and I just have to say, I just saw the Tina Fey scit from SNL, that is absolutely hilarious. She is perfect!!!!

Ok girls now that I have rambled, everyone have a great day and I promise to keep in better touch. I have a trip coming up here in January and I need to learn how to post some picts from my summer trip.

Mandy- So glad your dad is coming home. That is just awesome.

Krisitn- Hopefully the strike thing will end soon. That is totally ridiculous. Right now I would just be happy to have a job.

Well- I better get busy working. I spent last night trying to figure out my trip. I still have my GF ressie in case we still have a great fall and prices stay high but if not my back up plan is VWL one bedroom for five nights and the night five nights at BCV one bedroom. My problem is that I cannot get 2 of my night at BCV and I have to pay for the weekend nights at VWL. That is four cash nights at around $2000. The weekends are double the points...that is the only thing I hate with DVC. Anyway- I called yesterday and waitlisted for a studio the last part of my trip for any resort including Animal Kingdom- not too sure about that one. I am afraid of being that far from the parks.

By the way- I saw the new Bay Lake Tower resort and rooms. I WILL NOT be staying there any time soon. Not my style at all.

By the way...my SW prices are still VERY high. Good luck to you Dawn. It stinks. I check two times a day and not even a little bit of a budge.

Kristin ~ I'm sorry the strike is continuing and they haven't reached an agreement yet . But try not to worry too much about your trip (I know...easier said than done ).....depending on how long the strike goes on, maybe they'll take days away during the year instead of adding them on at the end (probably a long shot...but you never know ). I would keep planning for that summer trip and see what happens closer to that time. I hope those teachers get their act together and start being thankful they have jobs and end this nonsense .

Vanessa: I watched that this morning also, very depressing. I love how now they ALL saw it coming and tried to warn someone . I'm sure something will work out for you on your trip. I am so glad we don't farm, only hay. Everyone around us is in trouble from the horrid weather. Our barn has flooded more times this year than it has in all of the past 6-7 years combined .

Mandy: How's your Dad today after getting out of the hospital?

Kelly: Ratitoullie (sp?) is one of my Disney favorites as well.

Kristin: I hope the strike ends soon for you . My Mom is a teacher. She says her district hasn't had an across the board raise in quite some time. In fact, they are going through a RIF right now. You would think the teachers in your area would be happy to have jobs: unemployment is over 6% nationwide.

Channing: Wondering if you had decided about going on your October trip or not. It's getting closer!

As horribly selfish as this sounds- YUP!!!!

As of now, they will be in school through the end of the first week of June. I have a 1-2 day cushion for snow days, but it still remains to be seen if it will be made up. Apparantly our school year is 10 days longer than state minimum for funding so I guess they really don't have to (I am guessing they will though since it was only 3 days) Lets hope for "normal" winter in the snow department

Hey! Morning.....watching "Handy Manny" Jojo is SO MAD becuase basically that's all that's on when she's up eating bfast....I think she secretly likes it, though.

I saw GMA a teensy bit this a.m. and they spoke with the McCains. Kinda scary.

I would really like it if the candidates would address the ISSUES....they just keep beating around the bush. (sorry haha) but they repeat the questions in a statement form. That's it. No straight talk & that is garbage.

Kristin...One thing sticks in my head .....the part about "DH will never agree to DS getting out early"....LOL...BUT you do agree that getting out early is OK...so in my house YOU would win. Any disagreement over kids - or basically anything at home - I win. Hopefully DH will come around. Life's too short. A few weeks of kinder garden missing aren't going to harm anybody in the long run...there is a much larger picture to this and these couple missed weeks are nothing to it. I agree with Deb...keep planning it and just see how the school year plays out.

Chan......that is EXACTLY how it is in our house . Actually.....DH doesn't think a thing about the kids missing school......I'm the one always freaking out about it as they get older . But when it does come down to it, I'M the one who makes the final decision as DH just goes with it cuz he knows I'm going to do what I want regardless of what he says . And I'm the one who has to deal with all the teachers and getting homework assignments ahead of time....not to mention making sure they get done . Husbands....gotta love 'em......they do what they have to in order to keep the peace.....because if Mom ain't happy....ain't nobody happy !!!!

E~ Welcome back! thanks my dad is doing great. I love that you have a tattoo! I was starting to feel like a misfit! Yeah I am still thinking about it, the thing is my hubby has wanted to get matching tats of a verse from Song of Solomon in Hebrew since we got married. By the time I got brave enough I was pregnant and did not want to do anything like that while pregnant. Now I find out we are not so original because it seems that the Beckhams have the same tat! So between the two I will have several! The funny thing is I am so conservative that it shocks even my family to think that I want one. My grandmother tried to tell me it will defile my body and as a worship leader I would be a hypocrite. I asked what the difference between and her having permanent eyeliner and eyebrows (they are tats)

I have a friend who had his sons hand prints and name on his side like over his rib cage! Ouch! It looks cool and is HUGE piece, but it is really beautiful and detailed! There is a tattoo thread on here some where, I think on the community board.

Ok, enough tattoo talk!

I wanted to say I really thought the new DVC rooms looked cool! I would defiantly stay there, can you imagine how much it would cost a non dvc member to stay in a room over looking the MK I kinda like the look of the contemporary rooms with the clean line and modern look! I still LOVE the GF but think the BLT rooms look nice! I have to be the rebel!

Yay! Great news! I missed your post while I was posting which took forever because I had to get up and down to do things for the kids!
