Morning :headache:

Well, my girls (5,3,2) are being big time whining fit throwing monsters...... big brother (6) is not helping and is doing EVERYTHING possible to bug the cr*p out of them. They are like a pack of wild animals, NOT a happy day in my house........ :sad2:

I am too lazy to multi quote so.......

Some one mentioned fried turkey we have a fried turkey every year! So good! My dad does it, we have been doing a fried one for about 10 years now! We love em! They are not greasy.... just yummy! I guess it is a southern thing!

We have decorated the kids rooms and will decorate the rest of the house when DH gets home! the girls have a pink Christmas tree with princess ornaments and sparkle stuff! So fun! Or course I am like Chan I like the tree MY way and have a hard time letting them do it......... DS has a tree with hotwheels , cute but not cutesy, kwim?

I decided to make woodsy decorations to do a themed tree, so i have been glittering pine cones and gluing acorn on a star shaped forms. I gave the kids bags and sent them out in the yard to gather acorns, sticks, and stuff! They loved it! Southern Hospitality were selling "woodsy" ornaments that i loved and I looked at them and said "I can make these" so here i am, the glue gun, spray paint, and glitter queen~ :rotfl:

As far as shopping goes..... I thought i had it all together and was ready to shop but DH and DS have been bugging me for a dog. WELL DH has found a gorgeous Wimerramer (SP?) :dog: and is pushing hard to get her! She is mega bucks and I told him if we get a dog all the kids get is their stalkings and a dog. WE CAN'T do both, and i refuse to go into debt to celebrate Jesus's bday :rotfl: .

Some of you know how i feel about dogs.....or rather animal hair. I just don't get it, they lick their behinds and drink out of a toilet then lick your face...... I am kinda a germ freak so it is hard for me to not get twitchy thinking about it! :scared1: I also don't know how i feel about my back yard becoming a poop mine field...... :rotfl:

I will have to say this dog is gorgeous! light brown fur :scared: with light blue eyes and big floppy ears .......... Kinda makes my heart melt to look at the pics:lovestruc . She is pretty and i think i could tolerate her mess if the kids are happy....... there may be hope for this Cruella Devile, but we will see! :scared:

Ok TTYL, BTTBC, ummm....... SHIAPITA, GALS!

Isn't that the truth :rotfl: :rotfl:. Reading some of those posts I was thinking "These peeps are crazy!!!!" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:.

OK...I lied...I am still here...waiting on LUcy. :headache: She needs to step it up...:rolleyes1

Ya..the scary thing is WDW seems to be full of them. Why can't they all just play nice? The whole argument is stupid. You have a choice...you use the services= tip....you schlep your own junk = cheap & free. Duh. And that DME argument = stupid. JMO....YMMV and ATJ

LOL...Marvel...I was thinking wow...when I was in 8th grade it was Disco!! :rotfl: And the Beatles and Paul Simon. The 80s were my favorite.;)

OK!! Well...I will catch ya later. I have to leave now.

I hope Traci is well stocked up. Bloody Mary time of day.:goodvibes

Kristin,
have fun today! That is a weird thing about the drinking....maybe it DOES have to do with having to spend a long weekend with family?:rotfl: Enjoy!!!

TTYL!

OH forgot to add...... LOL, I typed so much and i forgot something! :rotfl:

We are going to Orlando for 4 days! A friend has a timeshare type thing and had points left that expire the end of the year and we are going to this awesome resort very close to WDW! We are psyched, we have awesome friends who love us and are so unselfish!! The kids don't know and we aren't gonna tell them! Ever since our week at the GF my kids ask when are we gonna "live" at Disney, and sleep there! We might not be renewing our passes next year :sad1: so we are gonna go hard and heavy! I am so excited because it is like a getaway for me and it makes it so much easier to make rope drops and stay late since we can go rest~ Oh, we are also gonna do ICE at the Gaylord, a lot of locals go and we have never been and a bunch of my friends have told me how awesome it is!

Looks like Kristin, Siobhan, Marvel and I are gonna all be there about the same time!

I agree :goodvibes. Some people get so bent out of shape over the STUPIDEST things :sad2:. You said it......such a simple solution.....use the service pay the tip.......don't wanna tip, don't use the service . I guess some peeps live to argue :confused3.

Mandy......We've had our lab for 3 years now and I felt the SAME way as you before we got him......I wanted nothing to do with the hair :scared1:. But I gave in because DH has talked about getting a yellow lab for YEARS. But to top it off we have a cat too :sad2:. So I'm constantly vacuuming day in and day out.........it drives me nuts but I wouldn't give him up for anything :upsidedow. He was supposed to be a hunting dog but he turned out to be a 105 lb. BABY :rotfl: :rotfl:. You'll manage once you get her.......it's just a little hair to clean up on a daily basis :rotfl2: :rotfl2:. But really.....I'm sure your kids would love her and it sounds like you're already loving her just by seeing pictures ;).

Deb :)

Mandy, your trip sounds fun! I bet your kids will be super excited! As for the dog, I am not sure but I thought weimeriners (sp?) didn't shed too much. My dog sheds a TON. I'm not a real OCD cleaner but I do like things tidy. You get used to it after a while. It's just a lot more sweeping, wiping down, vaccumming. You probably have to do all of those things all the time anyway with four kids. Besides, we all know how you like to vaccuum. This just gives you another excuse! :goodvibes:

only 4 more nights :cool1: (and I'm not talking until the GF...that's when they leave).

Sorry to sound so bitter....my dad, God love him, is great. My stepmom is such a negative person that it wears on me. She called my 3 year old daughter (her grand-daughter) a cry baby this morning because she was clearly upset and crying. She said it twice and then I piped up, you're not a cry baby Avery...anyway, it's just little things like that that tick me off. Don't resort to name calling. kwim?? dang. is it too early to drink? It's 10:18am here....oh, and she said my coffee is too strong. I don't cuss but I sure want to !*@(%#&$^@&(

Mandy.....Your trip sounds like it's going to be alot of fun.....have a great time :dance3:.

Traci.....Try to hang in there . I know they just got there last night but just take it a day at a time and before you know it, their stay will be over :rolleyes1. That really stinks that your step mom is doing that to Avery . Not very nice :sad2:. Just remember that us gals are here for you :grouphug:. And to answer your question.....it's not too early :drinking1. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I do love to vacuum!

I guess it is the dog hair on your clothes and furniture that gets me wigged out.... oh and the licking too, oh and fleas! I have a upholstery attachment so i guess i could vacuum furniture too! :rotfl:

I would brush and bath the thing like crazy to keep it clean and treated for fleas but the licking....... gonna have to get use to it!

Traci my mom is a little loopy so tomorrow is gonna be fun :sad2: ...... we have it at my GM house and she is a staunch baptist preachers wife so no alcohol allowed! She wont even eat food that have even been cooked with alcohol, lol no beer battered fish or wine sauces for her! Its of the DEVIL! :rotfl:

Hang in there and vent to us! :flower3:

The kids are watching the Prince of Egypt, I forgot how AWESOME the music is in that movie! Getting chills right now listen to it!

Marvel, I think Maxie's (I think it was Maxie :confused3 ) description of "snow" is far more realistic than yours :woohoo: :lmao:

I guess that is why it has never happened :rotfl:

LOL...Marvel...I was thinking wow...when I was in 8th grade it was Disco!! :rotfl: And the Beatles and Paul Simon. The 80s were my favorite.;)

I graduated 8th grade in 83. I love early 80s music...Asia, Journey, Culture club and...i cant think of any more...

My MIL does the same thing , i dont understand it and it drives me crazy. What kid wants to hear that? at the young age of 3 they cry for many reasons...its the way it is....
How about seeing what is wrong and taking it from there even if its for a toy they cant find? In my case all that would do is make me limit the exposure they have to them...which is not nice but i dont care.

Oh i forgot to add...
GET THAT DOG!!!! when i was a kid id have given up every present to find a dog under the tree...every years i asked :rotfl:
Didnt get one until i was 24 or so and we found a stray walking the morning after a heavy snow storm.

I love seeing my 2 year putting his face up to our dogs nose and start talking to her...then of course he only has to wait a minute before that long tounge comes out. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good Afternoon Everyone:)

Mandy I share you're sentiments on dogs too...

Dont get the wrong idea, many are beautiful (look at Channings dog)and warm and friendly and loveable:lovestruc I do love them as long as they are someone elses...;)

Traci Maybe 10:15 is to early to drink USUALLY...but sounds like these are extenuating circumstances...:rotfl: make it a healthy morning drink... there are lots of things that mix well with orange juice:rotfl:

Is that tipping thread still going on OMG:confused3 bring back the toilet paper thread instead...

Deb How are you feeling...I hope up to speed for your Friday shopping excursion!

Kristin Enjoy your few days off from dieting-youve earned it...and have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!:cheer2:

Busy day ahead...I like to prepare anything I can ahead of time....

Have a nice day everyone TTLY:flower3:

Does anybody here have a Roomba?

Df and I have been thinking about what to get his mom for Christmas. I saw one of these and thought she might like it as she has pain issues and difficulty getting around.

If anyone has one do you like it? Was it worth the money?

Mandy- weimaraners don't have fur, they have hair, but really short so you won't really notice it. They are BEAUTIFUL dogs!!! But big (Not Tatum big ;) but big). They are supposed to be good with kids as well. I always wanted a dog as a kid but never had one until I was 19. (And there are some days now that I wonder why I still do :rotfl:) But DS loves her to death!! We are lucky that she isn't a "licky" dog- mostly because she likes to eat her poop and NO ONE wants a kiss from her!! We broke that habit when she was young!!

Traci- I would have lost it if someone in my home resorted to name calling!!!! It might be time to get your Dad on your side about that. She is entitled to have an opinion, but she doesn't need to voice them in front of the kids!!! In the mean time, chug a lug!!! 4 more days!!!

Marvel- I LOVE 80's music!!! Journey is my FAVORITE! Don't even get me started about how I feel about Steve Perry  When the White Sox adopted "Don't Stop Believin'" as their rally song during the 2005 season (the year they won the WS) I was in heaven!!! They even brought Steve on the road with them for the Series!!!

As for the tipiing thread, I think Amy summed it up best. People make the biggest deal over nonissues over here (but I must secretly admit that it makes for good reading!! popcorn:: ) I never saw the TP threads though :sad1:

Alright, I have a carrot cake to frost!!

TTYL!

I'm almost done with my baking but I feel like I haven't accomplished much today :confused3. I guess maybe because it's almost 1:00 and DSs will be home in 2 hours....which doesn't seem like a long time . But atleast my baking will be done before anyone gets home so that's a good thing :goodvibes. I was determined to get it done this afternoon because I usually have a habit of waiting until after dinner and then I'm tired and cranky :headache:. I got DH's chocolate pie made first.....then made DS's sand cake pudding thingy.....and now I'm finishing up peanut blossom cookies :). Another few batches of those and I'll be done :thumbsup2.

BlueSkies.....I'm feeling better.....thanks :goodvibes. My headache and cold is gone but now I'm dealing with a painful back :headache:. Not sure what I did......but I sure hope it fixes itself soon because I have lots of shopping to do Friday :rotfl: :rotfl:.

Traci......How's it going this afternoon......any better :confused3? Hang in there :grouphug:.

I'm off to go finish my cookies so I can clean up the kitchen and relax.....TTYL ;).

Deb

I got a Roomba for Christmas last year. It does a very good job for something so small. It can't really replace vaccuuming all together. It can't really deep clean carpets. It takes a long time for it to clean, but you don't have to do anything, it just runs around and goes back to its home to recharge. It tends to get stuck on things, so you do need to keep an eye on it. Sometimes I had to go looking for it. Anyway if she did a thorough vaccuuming every couple of weeks, the Roomba should keep things clean in between. Since we got the dog, I don't use it as much because she chases it and barks at it.:rotfl2:

Mandy: I did not want another dog. We were very happy being dogless. Then DS's DGF brought this puppy home and I still said no I DO NOT WANT A DOG. She was a tiny little thing and loved to be held. She snuggled on my lap and looked at me with those big puppy eyes.:lovestruc She is still here.:lmao: Dogs are a lot of work though, so be sure before you get one. It will be like having another baby in the house. We are also going to ICE in December. We are staying 2 nights at the Gaylord Palms.

Traci:
It is never too early, it is 5 o'clock somewhere.:rotfl2:

Hi to everyone else.:wave2: Have to go make some pies.

Hi!! Wow what chatting I missed today!!!!:goodvibes

We ran around...came home to put the groceries in the house and then I am going out again.....:)

We decided we are going to get our tree tonight and spend tomorrow decorating it and then the long weekend decorating the house. :goodvibes

Mandy....I love LOVE love dogs. Get that dog. I have no problem with fur though.....tatum sheds clumps....I said before they look like dead mice lying around (sorry, Maxie:rotfl: - but they do!).....she is still finishing off shedding and getting her super thick undercoat...she will be toasty warm for winter. That is great about you going to Orlando. Enjoy!!!! And the Gaylord Palms sounds super pretty...and that ICE thing sounds very neato.

Traci
hang in there.....Maybe you should be singing The Final Countdown....:rotfl: FOUR DAYS LEFT...that song has been going thru my head ever since Kristin mentioned it......:rotfl2:

Anyway.....ttyl!

I have to clean up a bit and get going to Target and the PO.

Ciao,
Channing

Hi there gals :goodvibes

Baking is done, DSs are home from school, and DH should be home anytime :). Let the 4 day weekend begin :woohoo: :woohoo:.

Kristin.....This time next week you'll be getting ready to go :thumbsup2. The days will really fly now :dance3:.

Chan......Have fun getting your tree and doing all the decorating :santa:. I think DH is going to try and get the outside decorations up this weekend since he wasn't able to get to it this week.......I hope the weather is decent :rolleyes1.
