Need some pick me up so give me your favorite "subtle" thing to do in the land.

One of my favs is to grab a cerveza and head into the mexican pavillion. Love the look and feel in there - brilliant theming. I could listen to that mariachi band all day. Just love hanging there perusing the market, having my kids make the epcot masks, going on the donald duck ride, smells from the mexican restaurant. All good stuff....

For me it's Morocco - it's just so exotic and genuine looking. The detail really gets me, from the market to the intentionally worn look of the Tangierine Cafe.

All those crumbs in the bottom of my backpack from the kids crackers? Straight to the ducks in the water and my kids love it...I think they leave a little in their snacks just to do this!
Also, my son enjoys 'collecting' Mickey Ear confetti OFF THE GROUND (SHEESH!) so much so that at the Plaza a lady brought him a plastic cup FULL! WE still have it for our next trip. They like to throw them above each other while we are waiting. Recycling and free fun!
Strange things that my family does at Disney.

I like hanging around the Poly. Around the fountain, or out back at Capt. Hook's, or on the beach, or the waiting area near Ohana's . . . I love that place.

I also love riding the resort monorail loop, and riding the Peoplemover.

Oh, and my family and I love people watching at Pop, on the back side of Everything Pop. So many people coming & going, no matter what time of day.

I can so relate! The board of my coop is threatening to evict me, and last night I discovered they have bolted my mailbox shut.:confused3

So I am thinking about one of my favorite things to do at Disney: take pictures of couples and families so that everyone can be in the picture. I'm always solo, so it's an easy thing to just ask if they want me to take a picture of all of them. The reactions are great, plus I'm a good photographer, so every one comes out ahead.:goodvibes

Sitting on the side of a Disney Resort pool with my wife, watching my boys swim... yeah.. that puts a smile on my face...

Looking at the Castle and telling my mom that it's my house. I just let all the people visit because I LOVE living in IL to be close to her!!! :lmao:

My favorite Moment anytime, is watching my little princess waiting ever so patiently in line to get an autograph. :littleangel: The anticipation on her face is so innocent and priceless.:littleangel: She's going to be 5 this weekend :guilty: so I know these traesured moments are almost over!:sad1:
But I'm going to soak it all in before then I can promise you that! :flower3:

My favorite is the ride from the airport on the ME. It's all ahead of you at that point and the excitement is more than I can bear.

But I love to catch the glass blower at work on Main St. It's fun to try to guess what is being made and just watch the process and see what the final product is.

Getting an peach oolong ice tea at the China Pavilion in Epcot. It is truly the best iced tea EVER!!! This from a southern gal who knows ice tea. :thumbsup2

Well, the Chinese have a few thousand years more experience in making iced tea than the southern folks! :rotfl2:

I love to grab a book and head to the beach at FW. The cypress trees keep it nice and shady, and the breeze off the lake is great in the summer. You get the quite feel of being close to nature, with the castle poking up on the horizon :cloud9:

I was you about 2 weeks ago. Then the seed popped into my head about going back... fast forward to today and I have booked airfare, a condo, and rental car for a mid-March trip. I'm weak. I couldn't take it.

For the record, to me it's ALL ABOUT the subtle things. It's the smell of fresh baked goods walking down Main Street... It's over-hearing the comentator of TTA while walking through Tomorrowland... It's the sounds of the drums I seem to hear everywhere in AK... It's remembering why I said I'd never try those strange Coke brands at Epcot... It's watching my 8 yr old dance around at the HSM pep rally and my 5 yr old locked in on breaking his old TSM record...

It's about spending the week focused on nothing but my family.
