9:35 am flight, tomorrow, heading down to VWL, VB, and BLT for two weeks. Ummmm, how did June 23rd sneak up on me? I'm usually checking the countdown timer every hour on the hour when we have a trip coming up. We're typically packed a week in advance. I haven't even pulled the luggage out of the attic yet. I also haven't made a single ADR. Stopped the mail yet? Nope. Hmmmmm. Wonder where my annual pass is?

I've done the online check-in for VWL and Alamo, but that's about it.

Oh my gosh, I've got a lot to get done after work tonight! :sad2:

Wow. It's always funny seeing these types of threads. We never pack a shirt or a bag, or start lining up anything, until about 7:00pm on the night before we leave, and that's only because we usually leave aroung 4:30-5:00am.

Granted, we drive now almost exclusively, but we have this thing down to a science, and we have a very basic list (10-15 BROAD categories type list) developed from going 2-4 times per year for a long time now. We throw it in the Pathfinder at 4:00am and go. Seldom do we miss/have to pick up anything major at Target that we weren't planning on getting when we got there anyway.

You guys kill me packing a week ahead of time. How do you live without those things waiting for the week to pass? Do you live out of the suitcase at home for that week? Seriously.

We're in the same boat! Not a suitcase in sight...but we're off to SSR for 9 Magical Days and then a 4 day cruise from Miami for our 20th anniversary! I'm MORE unprepared for this trip than any other! Although, I'm starting to say that every time now! :lmao:

Somehow, I know we'll pull it together!

I was so upset with myself when I got home from work. We had a really bad storm come through, and with the regular rush hour traffic on top of flooded and closed streets, it took me two hours to find a route home.

When I got here, I realized I'd left my cell phone sitting on my desk at work. As if there wasn't already enough to get done, tonight, I had to drive back again, because there's no way I could have done the trip without it.

Just pack underwear and socks and buy Disney merchandise to complete your wardrobe. Do have to find that AP though.

A week? Try two or three weeks. As the trip gets closer, packing ahead of time helps me get through the excitement of getting to departure day :thumbsup2 And how do I live if stuff is packed? Most of my toiletries I bring small sizes, not my everyday stuff. My clothes, I set them aside strategically so I am not without something I may need. It's all part of my planning process (I know, crazy, but for me it's fun):cool1:

Shoot, our next trip is December, here in NJ my shorts and t's get put away for the winter around October-ish. So, when October comes around, I will actually pull out a suitcase and put in the shorts and t's that are going to FL with us. So my packing for that trip will technically begin about 2 months ahead, LOL:rotfl:

OP - hope your departure today was smooth and you have a fabulous trip.

Hope everything went smoothly and you're sitting outside by the quiet pool relaxing.

For your sake I hope your luggage was in one piece from your last trip... just pulled ours out (august trip, so plenty of time) only to find that one of the spinner wheel casings is half un-rivited. SWA would be sure to finish that job off if I let them. :upsidedow I wouldn't know what to do if I found out it was broken at the last moment.

Snap a few shots of the boats for us if you don't mind... *grin*

Hey...remember to think of me when you are wandering around the lodge this week, sitting in the hot tub, and lounging in that 2BDR villa that I gave up so you after seeing your hypnosis spiral a few months ago ;)
Enjoy your vacation!

We have totally separate travel vs home toiletries, plus I keep our suitcase stocked with most of our travel necessities. That being said I like to have our bags in the car 12 hours before we go. Never happens, but with that goal I get at least three hours sleep before our plane takes off.

I start putting clothes in the suitcase at least weeks in advance so the last day I'm only scrambling a little.

I hope you made it safe and sound! To those who said to get what you need at Disney, when you are pooh sized, that's not always an option!

I am convinced that everything goes awry right before a trip just so we can appreciate the vacation even more! :thumbsup2 Everything goes wrong and the rush to the finish line and then....and then......aaaaaaah.....:cloud9:

Have a wonderful time. And tether that cell phone to your body! ;)

We made it to the plane with plenty of time to spare. The only thing we seemed to have forgotten was the SWA drink coupons they'd mailed us. Not a big loss.

Enjoying VWL despite the non-stop rain since we've arrived. Plenty to do at WDW in the rain even if you aren't a duck. (I'm still hoping the forecasts are wrong, though, and the storm will break before Thursday.)

There's a reason I have an Owner's Locker...

As long as I show up with some underwear I could probably survive off what is in the locker. (Seriously, there are t shirts, socks, a pair shoes, swimsuit, coverup, flip flops, an just about everything but makeup LOL!)
