Besides making park reservations, mobile food orders, and Genie+, what do I need to know? You don’t have to explain for the millionth time, a link to a thread is fine.

It’ll be a grown up girls trip in mid October for just 2 days. We plan on being in DLR on Tuesday and starting in DCA on Wednesday. Want to try for a meal at BB. Will be staying offsite, so will need to buy parking. Is Toy Story lot the best bet? Is it worth trying to do World of Color since it’s Halloweentime? Not planning on doing Oogy Boogy.

Thanks!! I feel like I’ve never been!

The virtual que for world of color starts at 12 and I would get it. For BB I would check reservations at 60 days out ,but you may be past that already. How far are you staying offsite? May be easier to uber.

Laguna Nigel

FYI- there is no special World of Color for the Halloween season, that’s typically only for Christmas. I still love WoC and recommend seeing it regardless but just wanted to make sure you know it won’t be a seasonal version for Halloween.

On the DL side the Halloween Screams projection only version (so the fireworks without the actual pyro- just all the castle projections etc. They run it this way during the week) might be of interest.

As others have mentioned the dining reservation window generally opens at the 60day mark.
Booking opens at 6am Pacific Time. By 6:05am or so all reservation will most likely be gone.

Look at the calendar for BB a few days prior to when you want a reservation, to see the reservation calendar.

So, coming from Laguna Niguel, you'll want to be on the road by 7am to beat traffic. It will take you about an hour to drive up, park, and get to the gates. Park in the structure. The Toy Story lot is a pain.

If you've never seen WOC, you should. You have to get a reservation spot in a viewing area the day of, via the app. It's a "free" lightning lane. Do this as early as possible.

I get that you want to eat at BB, but if you can't get that reservation, don't fret. There is PLENTY of good food at Disneyland at non table service restaurants (in fact, the QS options have better food than all the TS options in that park). I'd actually recommend against a sit down meal if you only have one day in Disneyland. It's a time suck.

Thanks for the tips! I feel the same way about BB as DLgal. It's one of my friends' bucket list items. We all know it's a long-shot. Geemo, thanks for the tip about checking a few days in advance. That didn't occur to me. I thought we'd just walk up and try our luck at a no-show haha.

I've been to WoC many times but neither of my friends have. I've never done a package for that. Should we?

Fantasmic! It's great but we might skip it in lieu of more rides. Thoughts?

Parking/Commuting: DLgal, thanks sooo much for those tips. I'm a parking at the park virgin. What is the structure you speak of? I'm sure it's the only one and I'm just having a moment.

Mickey and Friends/Pixar Pals. My recommendation is use the Pixar Pals entry (it's only open mornings until 11). Use Google Maps and type in "Pixar Pals Parking Structure." It will lead you right to the correct entrance.
