Have your kids ever said anything hilarious to a character?

I was just wondering what hilarious stories might be out there regarding what your child might have said during a character interaction.

I wondered because my daughter is currently obsessed with Alice in Wonderland and told me she wants to meet Alice and tell her that "stupid" is not nice to say!

She tattles every time she hears stupid when she watches! I found it cute!

What fun story do you have?

My kids were too young to really say anything clearly but my son made Minnie Mouse fall over. We were at AK and there was nobody around when we got to Camp Minnie Mickey so we had ample time with all the characters. We walked over to Minnie Mouse after meeting with Donald and then Mickey. Both DD and DS went in for a big hug. My DD was "cuddling" with Minnie. Minnie went to swing them around for a picture facing outward and DS wouldnt budge. It threw Minnie's balance off as she was crouched down to hug them. She ended up falling forward on her knees. OOPS!

This year we are going to 1900 Park Fare for dinner and I told my DD (now 5) that she'll get to meet the stepsisters and she said "I dont like them, Im gonna tell'em they have big butts and they were mean to Cinderelly." I'm a little nervous she'll actually do this.

When I first went to WDW I was 4, and was beginning my obsession with the Disney Princesses. I asked my dad who his favorite princess was, and he replied, "Pocahontas, she's even prettier than Mommy!" to tease my mom. We went to AK and I saw Pocahontas, and my dad took me to meet her and I said, "My dad thinks you're prettier than my mommy!" :lmao:

When 16 year old DS was about 4-5 years old, we were in one of the shops in UK at World Showcase where we ran into Pooh and Tigger. DS hugged them both, then asked Tigger, "Can you bounce?". So Tigger bounced. Then DS said, "No, I mean ON YOUR TAIL???". Tigger shook his head no and bounced on his paws again. I don't know why he would expect Tigger to be able to do that. Now that I type it, it doesn't seem that funny, I guess you'd have to be there, lol! It's a story we always remember when we talk about Disney trips though!

We've had some great conversations with characters over the years. DS met Hercules (I think. It's been a while) and got into a conversation about either Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon. They had a nice long conversation. Another time I had one of my nieces with me. We met Wendy and Peter while Cinderella's coronation was happening. Wendy was quite put out that she had not been invited. It was great fun.

The last trip DD was 4.5 yrs old. We met Ariel in MK. The first thing she did was ask where Melody was (off with Prince Eric for the day!) and then proceeded to tell Ariel all about the day that she turned into a mermaid and her and Melody went off on an adventure.

DD was 4 when we did the M&G with Cinderella and Aurora. Her shirt had a bunch of the princesses on it. She spent the time with Cinderella talking about how she was on her shirt. Then we get to Aurora and dd shrugs and says "sorry, you're not on my shirt". Without a beat Aurora responded "that's ok, by you carry me right here" and softly touched dd's chest. It was both hilarious and heartwarming.

When my DD (2 1/2 at the time)met Aurora for the first time she grabbed Aurora's finger and was rubbing and staring at it, then DD said " Is your booboo better" Aurora said "yes my fairies made it better". DD then told her "I really don't like Malificent" and Aurora said "I don't like her either"!

Kids couldn't talk yet- but this happened

I was a grown adult at MNSSHP when Jack SParrow noted the treasure map on my T-shirt for the Bahamas. We got into a conversation asking if I found treasure in the place. Going along I said, great gems and gold coins. He asked is this place far and had me tell him there is a port nearby where a great ship took us. We had wonderful food, rum and partying. It was a blast to be in a place as a grownup you could escape into some magic.

We met Tiana and Naveen for the first time on our trip last year. DD was 4 and talking up a storm with Tiana. Tiana asked her if she liked to cook and Meghan looked right at her and said "I'm not about that. Daddy cooks for me!". Tiana couldn't stop laughing.

My DS (2.5) loves princesses so we went on a princess meeting streak one afternoon in MK. We met A&E and DS was stuck on where Olaf was. Elsa told him he was playing hide and seek (smooth move Elsa!). But then he started stringing them all along. When we went to meet Merida, she was asking him what his favorite thing was and he kept talking about getting to meet Rapunzel next. Then we he met Cinderella, he was talking about how much he loved Merida. Then when he met Rapunzel, he was talking about meeting Anna and Elsa. We told him he was going to give the ladies a complex. We also have a picture of him trying to kiss inside of Donald's bill so his head is half in Donald's mouth.

But my favorite thing he said was not to a character, but about one. We did Enchanted Tales with Belle and DS was Maurice. At the end when he got his picture taken, he was so smitten with her. Beauty and the Beast is one of his very favorite movies! When he came back to where I was sitting, he was wanting to go back to Belle so I told him it was someone else's turn and he could hang out with me. He looked at me, then looked at her, and said in all seriousness, "Can I hang out with Belle?" I think he would have stayed all day with her. It was so cute!

My DD was 2 and meeting Mary Poppins for the first time. She had sat through the whole movie without moving at home and loved it (turns out she is a theatre kid). She also was a character fanatic from the minute she stepped in the parks. She was talking to Mary, and Mary asked "Do you like to clean the nursery? Does your nursery need to be cleaned?" DD got a panicked look, screamed NOOOOOOOO at Mary, and took off running through EPCOT away from Mary. DH took off after her and a nice man blocked her path so he could catch her. Poor shocked Mary couldn't quite maintain that prim and proper British demeanor- she was trying so hard not to crack up and to stay totally in character- she looked at me and mouthed sorry as she was stifling giggles. I was laughing so hard I almost fell over. I think DD really thought that Mary was somehow magically going to take her out of EPCOT and make her clean her room.

When my sister was--I think maybe 3?--she met Alice. She was wearing her big girl underwear under her sundress and they had Alice on them. And she was SO excited that she popped up her skirt and showed Alice right where she was on her underwear!! My parents were so shocked and I, being the ripe old age of 7, was mortified and couldn't believe that they "let" her do that. (Of course they didn't let her do anything, she just did it!)

What a great thread. I hope I come back from our trip with some stories to add.

I remembered another one... DS was 5 or 6 and we were walking through World Showcase and were going to stop to meet Jasmine and Aladdin in Morocco. DS stops and says he sees Jasmine and we need to go right now to see her. He thought the CM at the check-in podium for the TS restaurant was Jasmine. I explained to him that she was not Jasmine but another cast member who worked in the pavilion helping people with dining reservations. He still thought she was beautiful and had to have a picture with her and proceeded to tell her so. I remember putting that picture in the album next to one of Aladdin and Jasmine and naming it "Nicholas finds his Arabian Princess".

Out tween was dressed as Minnie for MNSSHP while having breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. She had a Minnie Polka dot skit on, top, mouse ears and make up. After the meets were finishing and the last seated people leaving a little girl came over and stood next to dd. She patted the dress, hoovered about and dd gave her princess stickers.

The Dad kept trying to get her to come along. She was just stuck there not even paying attention or concerned. He came and took her hand, still she resisted. About that time it struck me, she thought dd "was" Minnie. We had a good time with that.
