Have your cruised with past cruisers?

We cruise frequently on the Magic and I am always amazed to see people we have cruised with before! These are people we don't know from the Boards but have met and visited with on previous cruises!

Do you find this happening to you?

Most interesting was the mother/son from England we've met twice already and we all recognized eachother from previous cruises! They do back-to-backs on the Magic!

It really is fun because you get the chance to catch up on the activities that happen in your lives since your last chance meeting.

My family and I met a wondeful family from Buffalo, New York the first time we cruised on the Magic 9/2000. We have cruised with the Marciano's on 9/2001, and again on 5/2002. Both times on the Magic. Then October of 2003, Kathy Marciano and I both cruised on the Carnival Fantasy with our two best friends. So yes, we have met wonderful people and cruised with them.

Past two cruises, when we arrived at the Port, I saw some couples who looked familiar ( same couples both times). I asked my wife, "Don't we know those people?" She said, "Those are your daughters and their husbands, stupid!!" (Emphasis on the Stupid part)

With over 420 Disers on the Eastern Repositioning cruise you'll know lots of odd people...
I mean the odd person out of lots on the ship

We cruised in 2000 on the 4 day and saw the same family on the Western cruise in 2002. It was really funny as the Grandma said to me weren't you on the 4 day cruise in 2000 and didn't you win the hula hoop contest. I almost died. She remembered me from that. What a hoot.

Since this will be number 11 on the Magic, it's almost like coming home....the crew and frequently some of the guests are like old friends. We've corresponded with several friends from past cruises who will be on the repo cruise with us.

I love to look up my "friends" from the CM's when we get on board!

And of course, we have cruised with others but it's those surprise ones that we didn't know were going to be on the ship with us who remember us that really are special.

Hoola Hoop contest!!!! THIS I GOTTA SEE!!!!! It certainly must have been memorable!!!!

Hoola Hoop was on 50's night in Rockin Bar D and I love to Hoola Hoop, won a contest on a Carnival Ship too. It is like riding a bike, you never forget how and even at 40 something, I still got it!!!

Good for you! If I hoola hooped now, the only thing that would be moving would be me!!!!!!! Ahhh, how the times change!
