Have you whitened your teeth?

If you have crowns, will any of the whitening systems work on them - either at home or at the dentist's office?

no, any whitening for your teeth do not work on crowns caps or any other denal work, they are ust for natural teeth :D They do get someone sensitive but mine was bearable and it doesn't last forever. Good luck with whatever you chose:D

WOW, I've been wanting to try the Crest strips but was afraid too. I'm a nervous nelly when it comes to trying new things. Now I will definitely be trying them.

I have used Crest Whitestrips on and off since February. I found that if you use one at a time (just the top or just the bottom) that it stays in place better and you can talk while you use them. The first box that I bought had a few defective strips in it. I wrote to Crest via planetfeedback.com and in less than a week, I had a brand new box of strips delivered to my house!!

I’m so jealous that the Whitestrips worked for so many people. I’ve tried them twice and I don’t think they really did anything. I think, though, that my problem is that my teeth are not stained – they are just not very white due to poor nutrition as a child or something. So I'm not sure anything can be done for me besides veneers or something.

Thanks for your replies. I think I'll try the whitestrips 1st, the try the Colgate product if the strips don't work. However Pugsley raised a good point, I've always thought that my teeth were yellow b/c of fevers that i had as a kid, this might not work!

I've had BriteSmile done twice at the Dentist office, it's by lazer light. It really works great...we all get it done once a year with touchups when needed. It's worth the $$$

I tried the Crest White strips but had a bad reaction to it. I was really sick with it. Also, and I know it is a side effect but, my teeth were so sensitive. They say that it should go away in about 6 weeks....it took me 6 months. I thought I was going to always have the problem.

I had completely forgotten that my teeth had become somewhat sensitive after using the Crest Strips, but that was after about 7 days & I was already pretty happy with the results, so I stopped using them by then. I will use them again as our trip to Disney gets closer (gotta have a nice white smile for Mickey!) :teeth:
