Have You Used Avis Preferred at MCO?

I love getting a good deal on my Orlando vacations. But this time, I'm tempted to pay a bit more for my rental car and book with Avis, where I have a Preferred Card. At other airports, this allows me to pick up my car without waiting in the long counter lines. I assume it's the same case at Orlando.
(I have had some REALLY long lines at the MCO rental-car counters!!)
Have you used Avis Preferred in Orlando? How was your experience?

I used it last year on a business trip to Orlando. You just go to the desk in the garage. They have an envelope all made up with your paperwork and keys. You just sign the papers and they tell you the space # where your car is parked (they preassign it, you don't pick). Find the car and you just drive off, no stopping on the way out. Their return is similiar to National, they have handheld machines. I have a trip the end of next week, I'll let you know if anything has changed.

We've used it a number of times and it has always been as Debbie describes.

I've done National once and although it was fun to pick our car in the Emerald Aisle, checkout at the booth took longer than checkin at Avis.

That sounds great. Just as I had hoped. I'll be content with having locked in good airfares and AKL rates, and just pay the extra for Avis.

Check "mousesavers.com" for special Avis codes. You are able to edit your "Preferred info" with any other code. Also check Sam's Club, and AAA for other coupon offers. I've used Avis Preferred many times at MCO, and always had a competitive rate.

This past 7-29, through AvisP, we had to wait 1hour & 25 minutes to get a minivan. There wasn't a pleasant person anywhere with an Avis uniform. Missed dinner arrangements with another family who was already at WDW. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had.
You may want to look at booking car through SWA, a resent comparison showed very favorable rates through SWA, plus some bonus miles.
