Oh my, it is so good, it is now my favorite apple. I used to really like Golden Delicious but Fuji, beats it hands down.

Is it Fiji or Fuji?

I had Fuji's all the time when I lived in Japan. They were delicious. The ones I've eaten here aren't quite as good but they aren't bad either.

The Fuji's are good, one of the better ones available most of the year, but I got really spoiled this fall on Honeycrisp's from the orchards around the Twin Cities, and haven't wanted to "trade down" to Fuji's while the others are still in the stores (although getting a lot more rare and expensive)...

Exactly! For years I've been buying Golden Delicious but DS17 works at a grocery store and came home with Fuji apples the other day. They are DELICIOUS and so juicy!! I'll be buying them from now on!

P.S. It's Fuji apples, as far as I know :)

Are the Honeycrisp red or yellow?

I changed it. :)

I've tried a lot of apples. I like them cooked but I can't tolerate the texture of apples. The texture and the noise while eating them reminds me of someone scratching a chalkboard. Eek!

Oh sorry, I hope I didn't sound like I was trying to correct you! I know there are Fuji apples, but as far as I know, there could've been Fiji apples too! :sunny:

Speaking of Fiji...I love Fiji water! :flower:

Both; flame-colored actually. Here's a link to a description from one of the local orchards.

I am partial to Gala myself -but I also like the Fujis
I HATE red delicious

DH really likes the Fuji apples. The are OK but I like really tart apples and Granny Smiths are my favorite.

I agree with the previous poster on red delicious apples. They really are named wrong IMHO. :)

That is me to a T. (what does that phrase really mean?)

Anyway I agree.

It's the only apple we eat now. My kids won't touch it if it's not a fuji. One time I couldn't find a fuji at our store, so I bought a Braeburn (which is pretty good too), I took the labels off the apples before putting them in the fridge so my family wouldn't know. Guess what? My 10 y/o ate an apple & said "this is not a fuji!" He was right but he ate it anyway. I was quite amazed he knew his apples so well! :rotfl2:

The only apples i buy are good Washington or Idaho fujis! They have been the most popular apple around here for years.I looked for Honeycrisps, but we must not grow them locally.

The Fugi is one of my favorite too. My very favorite is the Mutsu which is a lot like the Granny Smith, only better.

Definately Fuji are the best.......Delicious tend to be a bit floury at times, but Fuji are lovely and crisp and juicy:lovestruc

Most times I have to peel the apple because if I don't I get bad stomach pains (my doctor said its the peel). I ate the peel on the Fuji and so far no pains.
