I have no data at all to back this up, but I think it's because people are listed on multiple
MDE accounts, or more than once within one account. I think the system just sees a name and sticks stuff into it, without looking to see if this person is actually ON this trip, based on my recent experiences.
I have NO idea how this happened, but DH was listed THREE TIMES in my MDE account (I am doing all the planning for our trip in October). One of the listings had him as Mr. DH with no experiences at all attached to his name. The second had him listed as MR.DH with our hotel reservation, MB ordered, but nothing else. The third had him listed as DR. DH, and that's where 3 of the 4 ADRs were. The account also had him checked off as "someone who travels frequently to WDW with me" which is so totally laughable- he has been on 5 of our 26 trips! I finally figured it out and got rid of both Mr. and DR. DH, so now he's only on one account, but I have NO IDEA how he got listed at all. DH hasn't been to Disney in 6 years
were they really planning all this IT linking way back then?
Today I will try to link our passes (from
UT) to our names in my MDE account. I hope this will go well, but I am nervous as I know both DH and I had online accounts with ESPN back in the late '90s, for the NCAA basketball tourney. I have no way to access these accounts now, but am really worried that somehow, our tickets or FP+ reservations will get stashed down in the "noise" of these accounts and I'll end up really, really frustrated again. OP, I know you are a huge techie guy who totally supports the new MM+ system at Disney, but many of us have had enough issues with it to be disappointed, angry, and quite frustrated by the whole thing.
