Have you taken small children to Narcoossee's?

Obviously they have a kid's menu so we won't be the first but I am looking for personal experiences--good or bad. Dh and I really would like to go but we will have our boys (ages 5 and 2) in tow. Is it kid friendly at all? Did dinner take forever? We have a ressie early which is good (5:50) for us but I would love to hear from anyone that has actually taken the kids. I hope somebody shares something positive because the menu looks yummy:goodvibes .

We've taken our kids a lot there. At their youngest they were 4 and almost 1. It is a loud restaurant, due to the design and hardwood floors. Dinner can take up to 2hrs, if you do all the courses(appetizer, main, dessert). We go out to dinner at least once a week, so they're used to it and were fine. Just bring things to occupy them, I sometimes bring small containers of playdoh. They don't get it at home, so it's a treat and easy to take care of and clean up when dinner arrives.

I was just there for a 7pm ressie....I didn't have my DD, but there were a lot of children there. I was surprised.

BTW the Surf n Turf is to die for:goodvibes
and if you like lobster bisque the app is amazing;)

Thanks so much! Our boys are also restaurant goers, I just wanted to know that we would not be the only ones with little ones.

And yes, we are soooooo looking forward to the surf n turf!!

DW and mine favorite restaurant, never have had a bad meal. We took our DD's last year prior to a Wishes cruise (then 5&6) for a early evening meal and they were fine. A table nearby had a young couple with a toddler and an infant. We brought some coloring pages and crayons and they were perfect ladies and enjoyed looking outside to the lagoon and see the monorail sail by.

It's WDW, people go there with children. When we go without our girls we dine outside of the typical dining hours if we want to have an adult night. Even at 8-9pm we've run into kids at signature restaurants.

We don't have children, but I would like to relate a story about a family who decided to take their young children to an early dinner. We arrived and were seated at Narcoosees about 7:00PM one evening. The table next to us had three adults and three young children (all under 6 I'd say). The adults were trying to finish their meals when we were seated. I say trying because the children weren't making it easy for them. They were whining, crying, crawling around the table and generally acting "done" with being there. The three adults were trying to take turns holding the children while the other (s) tried to eat their cooling down meals. It got so bad that one of the children, while be held by their parent, actually kicked my DH in the back. The parent didn't even appoligize and they still didn't get up and take those kids out of the restaurant that obviously no one in their part was enjoying.

Now this family was the exception, not the rule. The table accross the aisle from us has two delightful, well behaved children. I don't mind kids in nice restaurants as long as they aren't disrupting everyone else. I only share this so that it brings attention to the fact that some children really can't handle a long meal in a nice restaurant. From your post it sounds like yours will be fine.

We did my daughter's fifth birthday dinner at Narcoosee's and it was wonderful. We had a fairly early dinner ADR, I think around 5:30, but I found them to be very kid friendly and I don't remember any long waits for food.

We did it last year when DD was almost 3. She is used to eating out and was fine.

We ate around 7-7.30pm and had a break to go outside to watch the fireworks.
