We did this on 9/20, and still haven't received it. It's been 9 days, not including Sundays. I know things in the islands are usually slower, but is this normal?

Yes ours took about 2 weeks to get back to us. I always send a few back home so we do not have to worry about lost postcards. I am sure it will eventually arrive and what a pleasant surprise it will be when you walk out to the mailbox that day! It also took two weeks to arrive from Grand Cayman when we were there.

when I was reading Deb's cruise info. it said that postcards have been known to arrive a full month after being sent. I'm sure you'll receive it.

We mailed ours on 9/19....a lady told me it takes approx 45 days to receive them here in the states.

Yes, Sis and I thought it would be a neat surprise for our Mom to receive one after our cruise. About 2 weeks later it came and we got a call ~ she was overjoyed to think we'd sent her a PC in remembrance of our special trip.

Our postcard took a very, very long time to get there. We traveled for more than a week after the day we were at Castaway Cay, and our postcard arrived several weeks after we returned home. It was about a month give or take a few days.

our postcard arrived home about a monthafter it was sent( we live in virginia). It was post marked on the day we were on the island.

Our two DS sent a few cards, to themselves and to grandparents. The earliest postcard arrive about 3 weeks after the cruise and the last one arrived 2 1/2 months latter.

All cards we sent at the same time!

:teeth:

We sent our postcard home from CC on 8-29-03 and it arrived at our house in two weeks.

Thank you everyone, I guess I have a while to wait. At least now I know it probably wasn't lost, just takes a long time!!!

Thanks for all the replies!

I live on the West Coast and in 1999 it took about six weeks for us to get the postcard we mailed from CC.

Every time we've been to CC we sent ourselves a postcard. I wish that we had sent them from the other ports we visited. Don't know why we didn't think of that - we always have been focused on CC.

Wow, I never knew it took so long! :earseek: I mailed about 20 of them 9/26 and everyone is asking me where their postcard is. Now I have something to tell them. The only bad thing is our grandparents were visiting relatives in MD and we sent them their post card at our uncle's address. They are back home now, but boy will our Uncle be surprised! :) Thanks for the info.!

We got our postcard today it took 2 weeks!! What a great suprise and I just had to sit back and relive the moments.

We mailed a postcard from CC on January 1, 2000 (yes, we had the privilege of being on the Magic for the millenium celebration - it was fabulous!!!!) and it took about month to arrive - I was getting worried, too!
