we sailed once in August maybe just a few days earlier than you are mentioning.
We didn't have any trouble with rain but boy was it hot
We couldn't spend too much time out on deck because it was just too hot to be outside for very long., come to think of it, maybe it did rain just a little bit.
We have sailed in mid August. The only day it rained was the day at Castaway Cay. That was only for abou an hour. I think most of the rainy season is more towards the end of Sept. early Oct. Thats just my opinion.
We have always sailed either the last week of August or first week of September and have never encountered anything more than a brief shower at the most.....Andy
we are on the wonder, departing august 29th and also wondered about the weather. We were at Disney in mid-august this past year and it seemed to rain all the time! Hope next august we have a break from the wet stuff!

We sailed from 8/23-8/30 this past year. We had very little rain, except for the day we sailed from Port Canaveral, but it was very, very, very, hot in St. Maarten and St. Thomas, the day on CC was sunny and hot, but not as bad as the first two ports of call.
I have never been to WDW or DCL besides in June, July, or August. As I recall it is VERY hot (Mid to Upper 90's) and it does rain nearly every day but only for about 15 minutes or so then it is all beautiful again. So as long as you are inside for those 15 minutes it is raining then you're good to go and may not realised it rained at all other than the wet pavement.
Have fun!

Stifling Hot, Very Humid. When we went outside it was for 10 minutes max (except for the safety drill - oh yea, we were lucky - in Animator Palate). Did I say darned hot and humid.
We had lightning storms every evening. They stared shortly before every deck party so they were moved inside (not nearly as much fun!). While docked in Nassau and looking out of the portholes (we were inside because it was hot and humid and violently storming) we saw the cruise ship next to us get hit by lightning (which brings up the question -- Just how do you "ground" a ship?).
Cruised 8/24-8/28. It was wonderful. Beautiful days and only rained briefly one night. Would definately do it again but I want a 7 day cruise next time
