Hi, we are staying at the Park Vue Inn for Christmas. Just wondering if anyone has just stayed there or is there now and could you give a review of your stay. Do they offer Disney movies to watch?

I am curious also.

On the DCL board someone recently went and said it was fairly good. Though it is an older hotel her review made me want to change from a costly Paradise Pier to Park Vue. That said, the hotel gets some poor reviews with very dirty carpet and being dirty in general; while others say it was great for the location and rate.

We are due to be there Jan 13-15 before cruise and will be canceling our other reservation today.

We stayed there at the end of November. The room had been recently carpeted (plus a tile entry was added)...and the bedspreads are gone (replaced by small, decorative runner-type things). I liked all of those improvements (new since our stay last November). We had a welcome basket waiting for us in our room upon arrival (bottle of wine, water bottles, some bananas, apples and oranges). And when the front desk called our room shortly after we checked in to ask if everything was ok, my husband asked if we could trade our wine for cider since we wouldn't drink the wine (there was a note that said we could switch). They quickly brought us an entire bottle of Martinelli's sparkling cider.

The breakfast was nice as always. Especially since its free (or included in your room price). There was plenty of food (including hot items), and we were able to fill up and make it until lunchtime in the park.

We really have no complaints. We always stay there....the location can't be beat.

We stayed there last week. Just be advised that it is a basic motel as are the others in the surrounding area. The draw for us is the location. It's as close as you can get w/o staying on site. Our room was clean and the beds were reasonably comfortable. We appreciated parking our car immediately outside of our room (free parking). The staff were attentive, and the breakfast was very good with a wide selection including eggs. As others mentioned, the welcome basket was very nice. There also were always cookies and fruit in the lobby.
The only downside was that it was noisy. We were in a double room which had a connecting door to the room next door. I would avoid one of those rooms unless you need an adjoining room for your family, especially if you are a light sleeper. There apparently was NO insulation in that connecting door because we could hear EVERY word, cough, etc. from the room next door. One night a baby awoke crying during the night and it sounded like it was in our room! You can also hear the voices of anyone walking outside past your room. We were on the ground floor and also heard people walking above us early in the morning (which sounded like stomping). It might be better on the 2nd floor, but be aware that there are no elevators.
I will stay at Park Vue the next time we aren't staying on site because you can't beat that 5 min. walk to the parks and great breakfast. But next time I will request a quieter location (if one exists) and will bring earplugs.

There have been several threads about the Park Vue in the past few months. You might want to do a search and look them over. In general, it gets very mixed reviews.

I believe the "mixed reviews" were from a disboard member who had a significant billing issue that wasn't addressed satisfactorally.

I was there in September, and agree with all the above reviews~that you need to realize it is a budget hotel, so you'll have to deal with all that that entails (sp?). The main one is noise. Personally, that was not an issue at all for me in September. being able to park your car right outside of your room is a huge plus! The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on! The Welcome basket is a very nice touch. And if you have a birthday while you're there, let them know ahead of time. They'll have a birthday treat in the room for you.

I found the food to be HORRIBLE. It was all pre-packaged, even down to the french toast. The evening 'hors dorves' were all re-heated packaged stuff. I try not to be too picky, but McDonalds would have been a huge improvement over what I experienced. Just my 2 cents.

So, considering it's a budget hotel, and you know that you'll have some inconveniences, it's a fine place to stay. Hope this helps!

I should have been more specific. I was wondering if they have Disney movies like Cinderella, Snow White for you to watch in the room. I was thinking of having a movie time during our afternoon break, and did not want to bring my Disney movies on the trip.

We were there Dec 7-10 and no I never saw any Disney movies. They just have the regular TV and local stations
