Have you met or know anyone famous?

I live on an estate of eight houses and I am the least famous person there :sunny:

Couple of actors, a couple of footballers and a Tv personality, and a singer of note

gatehanging with DDs I have seen/met lots of pop stars and actors (but mostly Mcfly and Son of Dork). My most surreal moment was seeing Ozzy Osbourne hug Yoko Ono infront of me at the Pride of Britain awards. Also James Bourne at the height of Busted's fame delivered a t-shirt to my DD at our house and she is his biggest fan. He was very sweet and since forming a new band we have seen him about 15 times and he always says hi how are you

Christine Aguillera, Rosie O'donnell both in florida, Johnny Biggs (Mike Baldwin) he lives by my DM & DF and going to see the actor Steven Seagal in september.

I've worked in Whitehall several times in the past six years so I've met and worked with many current well-known politicians, all of whom are lovely peolple.

Other than that, I've met Richard Branson, Elizabeth Taylor, Jasper Carrot, Stephen Fry (twice), Robert Pugh from Casualty, Max Boyce, Neil Kinnock, Roy Hattersley, The Flying Pickets, Shirley Crabtree(Big Daddy), Michael Foot, Dennis Healy, Roy Jenkins, Inspector Monroe off The Bill, personal friend of "H" from Steps (good laugh actually) and Bruce Kent (CND).

Was staying at the Ritz Carlton in Key Biscayne, Miami, 4 years ago. Was enjoying swimming around in the pool when a HUGE black guy, a couple of blokes looking like bouncers and a couple of women who looked like "unattractive working ladies" (cheap, tarty, dressed too young for their age) walked past the side of the pool. Everyone else stopped what they were doing, stared and the whole pool area was completely silent... I am rubbish at recognising people, so asked the pool guy after the "main attractions" had walked passed. He said "oh, that was OJ Simpson!"...

So, next morning, I recognised him when we stood right behind him in the queue for a table at breakfast...

But he is more "infamous" than "famous".

One of my mechanics is Liz Hurley's Cousin!!!!!!

friend of Kym and Suzanne from Hear'Say, also met Noel and Myleene of the same band....met Jon from S Club, Faye from Steps, Chris Parker who used to play Spencer in Eastenders, Claire Sweeney, John McArdle (used to be in Brookie and the Bill).

Like many scousers, I have probably shared bar space/shopping space with people from Hollyoaks but wouldn't recognise them if they tripped me over, helped me up and bought me a drink to apologise!!!

Met G4 on their recent tour cos I won a golden ticket in my programme.

They're not remotely famous to the outside world but I know quite a few people from west end theatre

Oh and Sheridan Smith who played Janet in 2Pints and Michelle in Grownups.

Also met Atomic Kitten, D-Side, Delta Goodrem, Jamelia, Mis-Teeq...

My mum saw Nigel Havers running through the deli in Harrods when I was about 8, I saw Sarah Manners (used to be Becs in Casualty then did Strictly Come Dancing) on Oxford Street at midnight!!

My Dad met Ralph Schumacher when he was at a ride and drive one weekend...got his autograph and then got told off by the German papparazzi!!

And my parents shared a flight with the BeeGees.

I used to go to a gym run by ex Gladiator Panther........the gyms called.....Panthers.

OMG that brings back memories. When DD was young she loved the gladiators we used to queue for hours for her to meet them. We saw Panther, lightening, warrior, wolf, scorpio, trojen and shadow.

we have met and shook michael jackson hand (good or bad thing i dont know), in las vegas 2002, he was receiving a lifetime award at the rma awards held in the aladdin hotel. i have also met noel gallagher at morgan in brent cross shopping centre,

We saw Prince Naseem a few years ago in universal studio's and some young girls were taking pictures of him and he was very rude and arrogant. :sad2:

I don't know anyone famous (although I'm doing my family tree so you never know....?!) but rumours are that my DH is remotely related to Charles Kennedy the politician (although my hubby likes to keep it quiet!).

We have met Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy), Gary Numan, half of Ultravox (but not Midge unfortunately), Hot Chocolate (Errol Brown was lovely but one of the group was quite rude), and walked past Michael Fish the weatherman, Anita Harris, and Tony "Baldrick" from Blackadder.

My fave was Billy Connolly - my cousin and I were walking up past a hotel in Coventry in the early 80's, and we walked past Billy, only it wasn't until just after we passed him that I shouted out "that's Billy Connolly!!" and he turned round and just cracked up!!! Billy is probably the most famous person I've seen I suppose. Steve Gately of Boyzone was in a restaurant in Liverpool, but I didn't know him as I didn't take any notice of the band's music - DH pointed him out to me. I'd walked past Steve, glanced at him and I think he could tell I didn't know him at all!

DH has met a few, but just Richard Branson via the various Flying Club events for me. Really nice man who really cares about his business and customers.

:wizard:

DH and I saw Owen Wilson waiting for his car outside apartments on Fifth Avenue. Asked him and his friend for directions to FAO Schwarz, and he seemed quite disappointed that we didn't ask for his autograph!

If I had known he was going to voice Lightning McQueen though, I probably would have. :sad2: I would have been a hero to DS.

Sara. :)

Minniespal probably knows a few but cant say !! :goodvibes I have met a few pop stars who were very nice and chatty.
