hi been looking on internet for flights as its our 11 month mark on fri.
found a site called the flight centre. she said to call back in two weeks as thats when the cheapest flights will be available, at around £450 pp return. sounds like a very good price to me has anyone used them?

We used Flight Centre way back in 2011.
They have three shops in Edinburgh but I used the online service.
Don't have anything bad to say but I don't think the service was outstanding as that was the last time I used an agent for our flights!

Booking your own flights isn't that scary! Keep track using skyscanner/expedia and buy when you are happy with the price.

Then stop looking!

Do it yourself ..

Have a look at Aer Lingus .... Edinburgh to Dublin ( where you do Immigration & Customs ) Dublin to Orlando ( MCO ) non stop.

hi, yes doing flights myself but flight centre are showing cheaper prices than skyscanner and expedia. the flights are with B.A flying from Gatwick. had never heard of the flight centre before just need to make sure they are legit.

I checked them out when we were booking, as a friend recommended them. Didn't work out for us, but she has used them many times with great success.

Flight Centre often advertise great price and promise great prices until you come to booking. More often than not the lower prices are not available or sold out for the dates you want.

In my experience the 11 month mark doesn't have the cheapest flight prices. I check the cost for six months out (April) was my 6 month out at my 11 month mark if you see what I mean! That gave me my happy to buy price of £500 pp economy, one stop, EDI to MCO. I've got an alert set up with sky scanner for when the price gets that low I will buy!

I vaguely remember doing all the research on flights I liked inc stop over times. Then I asked flight centre for quote on that flight. The flight I found was not one they suggested. I do remember a little frustration of not receiving reference numbers to choose seats. But it got fixed with a quick email.

That's when I decided I could just do it all myself!

thank you guys, i will c what is on offer tomorrow if its not in my price range then i will wait and keep checking

I've used Flight Centre tons of times and they have always been fine.
What I tend to do now is use Skyscanner to find the cheapest fare with flights I'm happy with. As this is usally with a company I wouldnt touch with a barge pole, I take a screenshot of the price and send it to a regular customer service agent at STA who match it for me.
This means I can get the cheap fare without going through a dodgy website.

flights booked, flying with BA got them for 463 pp. found them on sky scanner, paid and got my booking number straight away, went onto BA site so we can now manage our booking.

I've used Flight Centre before and haven't had any problems but one thing to be aware of, when I used them a few years ago I got caught up in bad weather that shut down LGW on the day I was due to fly back. I phoned Flight Centre as soon as I heard the news and it was the first they'd heard of it! Once they'd checked they were able to change my flights and kept me informed but be aware that they may not be proactive if there's a problem and you will have to go through them as BA won't deal directly with you. The chances are everything will be fine (and in my case it was freak weather) but just so you've got a head's up.

Enjoy your trip!
