How much should I tip? It is at a beauty school and will cost 30 bucks, what is the norm for a facial tip? SHould I be afraid to let a student give me a facial? They assured me on the phone the students are supervised and ready to graduate when they get to work at the clinic.

I generally tip 20% for any service-so 5 or 6 dollars would be my tip for a $30 facial. I would think that it would be fine to let an almost -graduate do your facial. It's not that complicated.`

There is a beauty school near me that I go to sometimes. They are not allowed to accept tips.

Well it was lovely! And I ended up giving her a big tip, because I didnt have change for a 10, so she was very happy!

Wow, I feel for those students. So they just don't get paid anything for the work they do? Around here, they post signs stating that the only thing the student receives are tips. I go to a couple of different ones around here and always tip around 20%, maybe a little more if they did a particularly good job.
