Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

I have had my anti-anxiety medications adjusted and was able to move up my second Pfizer shot. Still not sure if I will keep it there or move it back or skip it altogether given the fact that I practically needed to be sedated after the first shot due to anxiety.

Side effects from first shot were just a sore arm, but every little thing felt like a weird symptom - lower back pain? Kidney must be failing. Leg pain? Must be a blood clot. Migraine? Having an aneurysm. It was not a fun two weeks.
I can relate so hard to this. I'm not on anti-anxiety meds (probably should be), but I definitely freaked out over every little thing after both my Pfizer shots. But what helped a lot was just forcing myself to remember that there have been ZERO reported cases of any of those things with Pfizer in hundreds of millions of doses around the world. Please get your second shot. Not much point in having put yourself through the anxiety of the first shot only to not achieve full protection. You've got this.

Well, here it is 36 hours post (1st) Moderna shot for my son. Yesterday he was saying his arm is really sore, but he went to work (night shift). Came home at 7:30 am and went directly to bed (not normal). I didn't see/talk to him until about 5 minutes ago, his whole left side is sore, but no other side effects (besides the sleeping for 14 hours). I think he's deciding whether he wants to go into work tonight.
So he didn't go to work last night, but did stay up all night. Took a couple of Tylenol as he had a small fever. This morning he's much better, no fever, and seems more vigorous. Body pain is much less.

I had my first Moderna shot with no issues other than a sore arm. My second shot was April 6th and I did experience fever, severe body aches (could not sleep due to the pain), headache, and nausea. Luckily I had purposefully taken the next day off work, because I was SICK. Day 3, I went back to work but was still sick and they sent me home (I think they felt sorry for me!). Day 4, I was back to normal. I wasn't expecting to have such severe symptoms. Overall, I'm glad to be vaccinated, but it was a rough road!

I am right there with you. Every single twinge about sends me over the edge. I had "streaking" show up on my left leg yesterday - absolute panic attack - ran and showered (I was working out when I noticed it), shaved, got everything ready to run to the hospital. Decided to sit down, prop up my leg, ice it, etc, and think logically. My leg had itched when I was on my balance board, so I had scratched it, hard and at a weird angle. Still was able to convince myself the shot has caused a clot.

Forced kids to play basketball, forced husband to go disc golfing last night - hoping to get my mind off of it and then slept with it wrapped in ice and elevated last night,

Anxiety is a beeeotch. Hang in there....

A few counties near me now have vaccine supply far exceeding demand. With around 30 to 35% of 16+ adults fully vaccinated, about 95% of vaccination appointments are available on a daily basis. No need for appointments anymore. Just walk-in any time. I’m pretty sure some places will be closing soon with so little demand.

Send your unused vaccines up to Canada please. :)
