Yes this information was mentioned by a prior poster already. But my response is in relation to a Canadian poster. If you're needing to wait right now 4 months between doses because of supply issues (and Canada has been hit so much in the supply department on multiple occasions) it's a bit hard to discern the reluctance to get the 2nd dose at the moment.

With Pfizer the research was done up to a 45 day window, waiting 4 months pushes a person way outside the results of the original study.

That seems like an overreaction. I know that some people were having anaphalaxis to the vaccine who had a history of other serious alleriges. But plenty of people with severe allergies also get the vaccine with no issues. My son being one of them!

A lot of people are overly scared about these vaccines. At the end of the day, the chances of something horrific happening as a result of getting the jab are miniscule.

Wow, really? Here in New Orleans several places have held "shot for a shot" popup events. Get your vaccine outside, go inside for your free shot. It's working incredibly well.

I hope that the booster won't have many side effects. A part of me feels like they should have prepared us a bit more for the side effects, especially the ones that many of us have had with the second dose. I suppose they feared that people would skip the vaccine if they really put that word out? For the record...I'll get the booster, no matter what. But I do hope it doesn't knock me down for a day the way the second dose did.

I thought the opposite. I feel like they kept emphasizing how many side effects could be expected as normal after the shots, particularly the second dose and that they were scaring people away. I have talked to so many people who were afraid of the reaction and then didn’t have nearly as much of a reaction as they were fearing.

This practice is illegal in NY. Pharmacies are not allowed to give out incentives to patients. Lovely, when every other state allows it.

Well, that explains why I’ve never received coupons at CVS for my flu shots.

I think if people fully understand why they said you get a reaction to your second dose. Or your first if you had covid would help people make a solid choice not based off being scared. I always loved this way of explaining it.

First shot is giving a photo of a criminal to the bouncer out front and how to handle the situation if they show up.
Second shot is the bouncer finding the criminal and quietly removing them due to knowing what they looked like and how to take care of it, and now next time he will block the guy easier and faster.

Compared to no shots
Bouncer let's the criminal into the bar and he shoots up the place and has little to no idea how to handle the situation aka bouncer hurting civilians in the cross fire. Many people now dead or hurt due to not having the information needed.

So, if you have insurance, it fully pays for the vaccine, and then you get $5 to spend. Every single person in your house can get the coupon, too. So, for our family of 4, we get $20. I don't think you can buy a Disney gift card with the coupon voucher, though.

When you wake up at 3am all sweaty and it’s a good thing. Fever finally broke and I’m feeling pretty good. Now the countdown begins to seeing my DD. It will be one year, 2 months and 11 days since the last time I hugged her. I can hardly wait!

Congratulations ! I am one hour out from my second dose. I'm a bit worried, like most, about side effects - but I will be so glad to have it done! I'll post my experience, and again - I SO appreciate everyone sharing their's

I was dreading it but it wasn’t bad at all. About 2 days of a low grade fever and tired. No headache or any weird symptoms. DD had a headache and fever for about 24 hours. I haven’t known anyone personally who has had any bad side effects. It’s like reviews, you’ll hear all day about the bad things but people who are happy with what they got rarely seek out and leave a review.
