Has anyone recently been able to stay after closing and after the Goodnight Kiss (at MK)? How long could you stay? Where could you linger (main hub, fantasyland, fronteirland, adventureland, tomorrowland)? how long do the buses run after "closing"?

No I am not looking to ride anything, shop anywhere, or eat. I just want some good nighttime photos without hoards of people. I have also been seeing a decent amount of "normal" (no one important like a celebrity or such as) people (via social media) just sticking around and lingering at MK after "closing" to get pictures.

The kiss goodnight is Disney's way of pointing out that you have overstayed your welcome. They won't throw you out, but they will start moving you toward the front of the park. Please remember that the CMs are people who have families they would like to get home to - be considerate.

There will be transportation available until the park is cleared of guests.

Yes I know they have families I am not wanting to stay 4 hours afterwards (just towards the end of the "pack"). I use to work retail (totally different, I know) but when people still wanted to "shop"45 minutes after our closing time, it would equal to us staying til midnight when we closed at 9 and it would be a Monday night, I am not one to be "those" people.

I was just wanting feedback from people who have done this.

We've definitely hung around for about an hour and 15 minutes or maybe even 1 1/2 hours after 'closing'. Keep in mind that the shops on Main Street are open for about an hour after closing.

When we were that late, they asked us right past the exit what resort we were heading to, and they told us which bus stop to go to, and then the bus driver asked us again. Our bus went to both AOA and POP. I don't think they'd leave you high and dry at the park exit.

The CM's that have the closing shift are assigned a set number of hours, hours that are independent of the very last guest leaving. This includes the transportation personnel. The concept that a guest staying after the kiss goodnight would delay these CM's from going home is false.

I also sincerely doubt that the purpose of the Kiss Goodnight is to point out to guests that THEY HAVE OVERSTAYED THEIR WELCOME. That's not the way that Disney does it and GET OUT!! YOU HAVE OVERSTAYED YOUR WELCOME!!! is not a marker of good hospitality

Correct. That's why it's a gentle

We like to watch the kiss goodnight from the wishes fp+ area. We stretch out on the turf and just people watch. After the kiss goodnight we slowly make our way down main street, sometimes up to the train station and watch the park clear out. It's a very nice way to end the day.

We were there past the kiss goodnight multiple times last week! Mostly because we had dining reservations around 9:30 two different nights. Upon leaving BOG there were managers dotted around Fantasyland to make sure guests wouldn't be accessing any other lands (ie, they'd already swept those parts of the park) and NO other guests. But once we hit the hub there were still a number of other people taking photos and hanging around. It was the day of the 1/2 marathon though so we didn't hang around too much much did take some pics.

You can see a fantasyland cm standing there to make sure everyone goes the right way, but dead otherwise.

And a pretty dead hub area.

You can tell when you're staying too late, when people have swept the park already. We were among the last to leave after a mnsshp and got COMPLETELY EMPTY mainstreet photos but as we were finishing up the managers around were saying things in a nice and polite manner but it was also a hint that it was time to go. Watch the kiss goodnight from the hub area, and slowly wander down main street, maybe up to the train station, etc.
