Have you ever won anything??

I won a $50 gift card to the Disney store through our bank a while back... that's about the only thing I can think of that I've won... tho I keep trying! :thumbsup2

More than 20 years ago my dh and I were attending some fair in Toronto and I won a soccer ball.

Another time at a Met game, my seat number was called and I won a Mets canvas bag with a few items in there.

I think that's about it.

DCL cruise. Picked to play in "Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer"

Got all the questions right except for the final one for a free cruise. Won something like $275 ship-board credit. Wife had it spent before I got off the stage.

I was drunk as a skunk and don't remember a single question asked of me...

I enter contests all the time....never won anything except for this biggie: 7th place win in a Lance Snack Cracker contest. Prize?? A humongous t-shirt that read, "I've Got Lance in my Pants".

Won $50 in a scratch-off lottery ticket when I was in middle school. I used to bug my mom to buy me one every time we stopped for gas after school, so I'd get a couple a week, I always went for the Blackjack ones, and typically lost. But I do remember winning 10 bucks several times and 50 once. Anyone else make mom/dad buy them those scratch-off tickets because they weren't old enough (you have to be 18 as it's a lottery ticket and therefore "gambling")?

The only thing I ever won (worth mentioning) was a trip for 4 to Disneyland. It was about a month before DCA officially opened, and we got to go take a sneak preview of the park (one day there & one day at DL). They flew us down & we got to stay at the Disneyland hotel. Very cool! I won it on a local radio contest.

I won $1,000.00 instant lottery ticket in 1993. It came just in time because we were in the process of selling one house and moving into another. The offer was $1,000 less then our "bottom line" but we decided to take it.

Last month we were at a local casino. I had been winning on a particular machine all night (that alone is highly unusual) I was playing a 2 Cent slot (but it's 100 lines so it's really $2.00 :scared1:) I had won about $4,000 when I accidentally hit the max bet button. I was about ready to die when I realized I had just bet $20.00! Well, that spin took me into the bonus round and I ended up winning just under $9,000.00! Needless to say, after getting paid out, we stayed for a little while longer and took a long walk around the casino floor before leaving. It was a very good night for me. DH on the other hand, ended up loosing about $200.00!

I enter contests online all the time hoping to win something. So far I've only won once though and it was an HP digital photo frame. That was about 6 months ago.

I won an All Inclusive trip for two to the Dominican Republic in 1996. I bought some tickets for the grand prize at a winter carnival that was being held on base. I won the trip on Saturday night and found out I was pregnant with our son on Monday. We took the trip a couple of months later. My husband enjoyed the all inclusive alcoholic drinks. I, however, could not. That sucked.

I won a Barbie Dream House in the Reader's Digest contest in the early 80's. That was my biggest win. I've also won little things like an Easter basket from a local video store, money on lottery tickets, etc.

Well, I've won a gardening tool set (really nice!) and a Wii. My father, however, has won:

- 2 Caribbean cruises (1 on Norwegian, one on Royal Caribbean) via Rotary Club draws. One was in 1997 and the other in 1999.

- $10,000 in a YMCA draw

- more door prizes than I can count- flower baskets, a barbecue, handicrafts...you name it!

He doesn't regularly play the lottery either; if anyone was meant to win, though, it would be him! :thumbsup2

$110 in the Texas lottery many years ago, Fastpass lanyards at Disney a few years ago and a trip to Disney this year! The trip, by far, has been the biggest thing I've ever won and I'm so thankful for it! All it takes is one entry... :wizard:

I won tickets to see Chicago in our local area, also to see Bill Crosby when he came to our area. I won these through our radio station by calling in. I have won other things through them too. My best friend says that I always win stuff from the radio.

One time we got some scratch off tickets and I kept getting a free ticket or at least $2. I think we ended up with like $40 in cash & tickets by the time I was done that night.

I won a laptop and all in one printer from HP through Disney when Mission:Space was opening. HP was the sponsor, it was one of those enter every day and you would know right then if you won. I also won a food processor from my credit union and a bunch of stuff from a local TV station during my prior residence in AZ. Nothing though since 2003. So sad.

I won cash and a vehicle through a local grocery store sweepstakes a couple of years ago. We sold the vehicle and paid off many bills. Took the little left over and went to Disney!! :cool1: It was AWESOME and helped us through a difficult time financially. We own our own business and it can be a money sucker sometimes.

I've won small things. Movie and hockey ticket. An electric razor. DVD. Gift cards.

I enter online sweepstakes quite a bit. The grocery store contest was through a mail in 2nd chance drawing (excellent way to win). Watch for contest and enter. If you don't enter, you can't win.

I never play the lottery. I only enter free things (if you don't count stamps here and there).

I won $1200 from a slot machine (at one time) and I have won an entire set of 1st in the series ornaments from Hallmark.

I enter contests all the time....never won anything except for this biggie: 7th place win in a Lance Snack Cracker contest. Prize?? A humongous t-shirt that read, "I've Got Lance in my Pants".

:rotfl::rotfl2: That's hilarious.

Many years ago, when video games first came out (before most of you were born), there was a contest at a center city park. High scorer of each type of video game won several games, I won that. Then everyone who scored over a certain amount was entered to win a trip to Disney World. My husband won that. We took the 4 day trip & expanded it, adding our own money & visited my grandparents who lived in Florida.

Other than that, we win a trip to work every morning.

I won a watch from a radio station when I was about 9. You had to listen for all of these specific songs during the day and then when they announced the 9th song, you had to be the first caller. So I had the list of 8 songs and then, after that, would dial in the first 6 digits of the radio station's phone number as each subsequent song was nearing its end. When they finally announced the 9th song, I punched the 7th digit of the phone # and was caller #1. :goodvibes

A few years ago, I won a year's supply of Colgate toothbrushes and toothpaste for a family of 4. Since I live alone, it lasted me a LONG time. I finally used the last of the prize last May on a trip to WDW--I took the SpongeBob SquarePants toothbrush to use during the trip 'cause I figured I could just toss it when the vacation was over.

ETA: Oh, and I also won an $88 Visa gift card through a contest affiliated with the Olympics last summer, and since then have won a couple of $25 Petco gift cards. My mom enters contests as a hobby, so our family has won several things over the last few years like an XBOX, a portable DVD player, and heaven knows what else. It's pretty cool.

Nothing huge but I did win a $5 gift card in a box of fruit snacks a few months ago :dance3:.

DD10 won an 80-something pound pumpkin at school this past Halloween when she guessed the weight exactly.
