I did! In 1999 I won a trip to WDW from Nestle and Giant Food. They put us up at the old Disney Institute and we had a great week.
Before that though, I had won a trip to Universal Studios (pre-IOA, pre any Universal-owned hotels) We added days to it and went to WDW as well.
Then I also won a Universal trip for my nephew shortly after his father died. That one was particularly special.
As one who used to do sweepstakes for a hobby, my recommendations are to actively search for local or regional contests and sweepstakes. Your chances are much better than they are with national, and especially heavily promoted national sweepstakes. Also, anything you have to jump through hoops for also cuts down on the competition.
The one I won for my nephew, you could only get the entry form by going to a car dealer and then watching the AM news at 6:00, you then had 10 minutes to call back. The more difficult it is to enter, fewer people will bother.
Good luck and winning wishes to all of you trying!
Mary
