As often as I can I enter contests/sweepstakes that offer a trip to WDW as a prize. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who does that. I've never won, but just wonder if anyone here has won or knows someone who has. Anyone? Anyone?

If I had, you would have surely read it on these boards!!! I would first pass out, then when I came to, I would rush to these boards to tell all and start planning!!!LOL!!!:cool1:

Our nephew in FL is one lucky kid. 3 years ago he won a 4 day Disney Cruise and this year he won a pair of premium annual passes from the Mickey Monitor.pirate:

No such luck here. Had a cousin once win a trip.

I DID I DID. Of course it was about 25 years ago when I was in the 7th grade. I entered a drawing at the roller skating rink and thought I was entering to win a Bday party. I got the call on a Sat. night that I had won a 7 day trip to DisneyWorld including airfare for 4 people. We stayed at the Contempory and went during Feb. school vacation week. It was great. My sis, bro. and I had been before with my Dad but it was my Mom's 1st time there. Very magical. Of course I now take my dd twice a year. She will be 5 in Feb. and has already been 10 times. Our 3 month old son will take his 1st official trip this Sat. He did go to Epcot once already for a day. Too bad my hubby isn't a Disney Freak. We just leave him at home.

I wouldnt call it a "trip" and its not "exactly" disney, but I did win 5 nights at the Holiday Inn Family Suites! We're going in 3 weeks.
I was pleased and I have to say, they sent me a really cute package in the mail with some "goodies" and I got A+++ service when I called to "claim" my prize..
We still had to pay for airfare and park admission etal but still......We're going in three weeks where if we wouldnt have probably gone back till late spring if I didnt win this.

I didn't win one, but my sister's family won a trip to Disneyland (they live in Maryland). It included everything, hotel, character meals, even spending money. Oh well.

When we lived in SoCal recently I bought a "specially marked" 12-pack of Diet Pepsi and won a 1-day pass to Disneyland--not a huge deal, but it sure was exciting for me!

Congratulations to all of you who have won something - that is encouraging. Well then, I guess I'll keep trying - not that I was planning on stopping anytime soon. It's so much easier to sign up for these things with the internet than by regular mail :)

hi: my dh won a trip for 4 about 10 years ago through a radio station. he was actually alternate winner #3, and we didn't think we stood a chance of the actual winners and the other alternates not being able to go. you could have knocked us over when he got the call that we could take the trip. i think the only stipulation was it had to be taken within 6 months of the call date. cancelled our already booked ressies for the contemporary and stayed there on the radio station's money. it was really neat.

Back in April or May 2001, 1 month before our family trip to Florida and the Golf coast. The Disney Club posted a contest on their website for members to send a family picture and write a 100 word essay on what benefits they liked about the Disney Club. The winners would appear in a commercial for the DC.

While in Florida they called our home telling us we were being considered as one of the final families. Luckily my mother in law was staying at our house and relayed the message to us in Florida.

After talking to the producer on a Tuesday. He told us they would be making their final decesion by Thursday and asked if we would be availible to be contacted Thursday at 7. Of couse we said yes.

Thursday rolled around and promptly at 7 we received the call that our family was 1 of 9 selected to fly down to Disneyland for 5 days all expenses payed at the Grand California in July to be part of the commercial.

Needless to say, we were jumping with joy!!!!!!!!!

Once we arrived it was nothing but red carpet treatment. They had a get to know you dinner with the producers, DC castmembers and all 9 familys at a beautiful Italian restuarant in DTD. We met the other familys and had a great time.

One night they gave all the Familys reserved seating for the fantasmic show, complete with MM ice cream cups for the kids, beverages and treat bags for the adults. Before the show started, one of the DC CM's told the waiters that it was our DD-7 birthday. So everyone started to sing Happy B-day including what seemed to be thousands of people waiting for the show to start.

They notified us that we would be filming our commercial at the hotel pool of the Grand California. When the time rolled around for us to finally earn our trip, I can't tell you how nervous we were.

We were by the pool with the kids when all these camera crews and people started to show up. While they were setting up a photagrapher was taking stills of the family by the pool. This started to peak the interest of everyone there.

Next they were ready for us to have a makeup artist get everyone ready for the shoot. The kids were first, followed by my wife then myself.

Imagine yourself in our shoes, first time ever in California a family of 5, DS-8 DD-7 DS-4 My wife and I having makeup put on in front of everyone at the pool.

Now it's time for us to get in front of the camera. This camera was no more than 5 feet away from our faces. There was no script no expectations on what they wanted. They just asked us questions about what we liked most about the DC.

After we finsished they took some shots of the kids going down the water slides at the pool. Well wouldn't you know it our youngest DS decides he wants to go down the slide head first which is a No No. Everyone was rolling on the ground except for the CM lifegaurds who promptly told him not to go head first anymore.

The rest of the trip we spent park hopping and seeing the differences between WDW and DL. It was one of the most memorable trips our family has ever taken!

We also received tapes of the Commercial outakes and the actual commercial that aired on T.V.

My mother won a trip to Disney World for 4 days and than 3 days on the Disney Cruise!! I have to say it was the first trip we all took together as a family. I t was wonderful we stayed 4 nights at the Carribean Beach and than onto the ship. We were in a cat. 11 but we got upgraded to a cat. 9 . We took the trip in 7/2000 and it has created a monster in me. lol I have been back every year for Jersey week since....so believe me Disney got their money back and than some.... I also fell in love with the cruise and that is my favorite part of disney.... so keep entering the contests u might just win.... by the way we won the contest through Ames dept. store (now out of business).

Yes-- I did... it's actually a pretty funny story. We had a contest here in CT for the "best Easter bonnet." So, of course, being the freaks we are for Disney, we created a completely edible hat made out of gingerbread and decorated it with candy. I actually had to wear it on my head for about 15 minutes and it was really heavy!! Regardless, I won the contest and five members of our family were sent on a trip to the Hyatt Grand Cypress and Walt Disney World for a week. I usually never win anything like contests and this was a great surprise!! :teeth:

If we were to believe our phone messages, we win a WDW trip every few weeks!

But of course these messages are all from timeshares and other scams and we completely ignore them. The question is, how would we know if we won a trip from a legitimate contest?

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE WON......

where did you enter into the contest you won. I regularly scour the net looking for contests that have Disney or cash prizes.

erikthewise... you and me both. I think at least every other day I get a message saying you have won a trip and can pick either a trip to sunny Orlando or Las Vegas. I promplty hit the delete key, If one was ever legit, I would be in trouble.

When I was nine (17 years ago), I went with my parents to a home show and walked off by myself and registered my mom for a Disney vacation.
About a week later, I hear my mom on the phone "No, I'm sorry, I'm not interested." Then she hung up and said "Somebody telling me I won a trip to Disney World. I didn't register for a trip to Disney World, what a scam."
I look back now and laugh, but then, I don't know who was more upset when I told her I registered her :(
So technically, yes, I won a trip, we just never got to claim it!

About 15 years ago my mom worked for Kodak and she won a trip for 7 days to Walt Disney World that included Air fare, a car rental, Hotel (Holiday Inn on International Drive) passes to MK, Epcot and Sea World. MGM and AK were not there yet.
My Dad was unable to go due to work obligations so it was just my mom an I and we had an AWESOME time.

I once won a 1-day trip to The Magic Kingdom to see the return of MSEP before it opened to the public the next day. The contest was for Floridians only. Our local paper had a form you could fill out to enter it in the Sunday paper. A few weeks later I got a letter from them and by then I had totally forgotten about the sweepstakes. The first thing I saw when I started reading it was Dear Julie, Congratulations! I know it was only for one day but I freaked out right there on my front lawn.
