Hey Budget board gang,
I love the budget board, esp. the freebie thread!
Here is my question:
I have been entering sweepstakes to win a trip to Walt Disney World for over 6 months.
Has anyone outthere entered and WON??
I did win a lanyard/pin set from YOMD 2007 and am still entering for 2008. I just thought it would be fun and encouraging for others to post there win stories.

I won a trip to WDW on a radio call in contest. I'm trying right now to win one on the radio for a DCL cruise. I've won lots of other things - $1000 twice, an ipod, 2 free jet blue tickets, an outdoor firepit....

Don't give up. And if you enter for lots of different things you're bound to win something (remember you can use money to get to Disney too).

My sister won tickets to a Frank Sinatra concert and backstage passes when we were in high school.

I also won basketballs from a WM drawing a few years back, $500 from ClubMom when they first started out, and little stuff here and there.

My DH won a trip for 4 to Disneyland as part of the Pirates of the Caribbean Kodak Quest for Gold Sweepstakes a little over a year ago. The park was open late one night just for all the winners/families and you had a chance to win $50,000 unfortunately it wasn't us.

They put us up at the Disneyland Hotel, gave us food vouchers, pirate hats, 4 day passes, plus airfare and ground transportation. We had a blast!

I won a Jade and silver Jack Sparrow Ring from the Pirates of the Carribean sweepstakes from Disney. I'm saving it for DS when he is older. It's a replica of the ring Jack Sparrow wore in part II and a really neat looking ring.

I have won numerous small prizes over time. More recently I won the Ellen's 12 Days of Xmas prize package two years in a row. DH won NY State Lottery with a group of co-workers.

Disney - lanyards and mickey ears from last year Million Dreams sweeps. One year they had a sweeps associated with the Xmas parade, myself and two members of my family each won artist signed CDs and t-shirts. Other small things like DVDs and stuffed animals through the years.

I went to Disney in Oct courtesy of Disney's Little Mermaid DVD sweepstakes. I was one of 10 winners to win a Disney World/Disney Cruise trip. And oddly enough, one other person in my town won a trip as well. So yes, people really do win, just be deligent about filling out those entries.

I won my first sweepstakes last month after years of entering! I'll admit though I do not enter that regularly....so maybe that is why I usually never win. I won the Macaroni Grill Salute 2007....$50 Gift Card to Macaroni Grill each month for 12 months. I just received my first $50 CG on Monday!

I've won a few things over the years. When I was about 11 or so I won a walkman radio. (I still have it actually).

In 2000 I won a trip to the Super Bowl in Atlanta. Actually the person who won couldn't go so I was chosen next. When I got the message left on my phone I thought someone was trying to sell me something. I closed on my condo in the morning and then ran off to fly to Atlanta. It was great!

Later that year I won a $100 gift certificate for Williams Sonoma.

I have never won anything.. Not even at a school raffle where everyone wins.. So I am thinking there must be something very "great" on my horizon.

From disney I have won a game that you play on the PC (years ago) DS18 was still little enough to enjoy it.
No other big or little Disney things not even a fast pass, pin, DVD or wish from any of our trips yet but I do apply to alot of them.

Big things I have won (not Disney)

Superbowl tickets when our St. Louis Rams were playing the Patriots (they didn't win ) in New Orleans. Won it from Red Lobster.

Diamond Ring from Lifetime's "The Starter Wife" series and Pond's very pretty but now I have to pay taxes on the stupid thing. Here's a link to the picture:

From a local radio station (Y98) I won $5000.00 in a black vault game that was tied to your phone number you had to unlock a code of 10 numbers by quessing. DS then 9 helped me by guessing the last 3 numbers correctly, so I gave him a $50.00 reward, We used the money to adopt our daughter instead of having to take out a loan. Perfect timing.
