Have you ever spent your birthday while on a vacation somewhere?

Last year spent my birthday with a free day in WDW. The year before we were traveling in Florida and had dinner in the contemporary on my birthday. I think we are staying home this year. It was weird being away on my birthday.

I was on my honeymoon in Cancun for my 32th birthday.

We ate dinner at Carlos & Charlies. DH told the waiter it was my Bday, and they presented me with a Kahlua shot, topped with 151 rum that was set on fire. They sang to me and placed the flaming shot in front of me, then gave me a straw to drop in it and drink. I was so scared of setting my hair or my eyebrows on fire! I wouldn't get close enough to drink it with those flames shooting up, and the waiters were busting me to down the shot. It was a funny moment. :)

I spent my 35th birthday 3 hours from my house at my beloved grandma's funeral. My mom scheduled it for that day because the chapel was booked the rest of the week. No one even remembered it was my birthday, including me. That day was about grandma.

My 40th birthday was much better. I spent it at Disneyland!!!! I told my husband I refused to turn 40 anyplace but Disneyland!:)

I celebrated my 40th birthday last November with our first trip to WDW (we are from Australia). We went to MK, Epcot and MVMCP. 2 weeks later we were at DLR for DS#2's 9th birthday.

DS#1 spent his 9th birthday in Fiji (he wasn't too crazy about that as were on a bus for 3 hours transferring between hotels). DH celebrated a birthday a few years ago during one of our trips to New Zeland.

That just leaves the cat without a special celebration thus far... :lmao:

I spent my 30th birthday having a miscarriage. Maybe that's why I was determined to celebrate my 40th doing something extra special. WDW certainly was special!

I celebrated my 40th last year at WDW. Awesome!

I will celebrate my 41st next weekend in Atlantic City (only a 90 minute drive from my house, so not exactly a big get-away). Still fun though.

Other than spending my 30th birthday in Savannah, I've always been "home" for my birthday. :)

I spent my 38th birthday in Salzburg,Austria, and every year since I moved to Florida with a certain Mouse!!

I'll be spending my 16th at Beaches Jamaica...I'd rather not have a huge party.

Several times throughout the years, most recent was my 62nd celebration while at WDW, with luncheon at the Castle with our family grand gathering :goodvibes! I was totally surprised when I sat down and My Lady brought out a beautiful MM satin pillow covered with roses and a crown from my sweet kiddos. It was priceless, I was totally overwhelmed with love and emotion! :lovestruc

WDW one time and a cruise last year.

Flew out to Vegas the day before my birthday and celebrated my 21st there. The following year I was in Disney for the CP, so technically not on vacation but it still wasn't boring Ohio. Oh, and my 18th was spent in Michigan at a casino/resort.

I've spent the last 4 birthdays in WDW. Hard to feel depressed about turning 50 when you're there. I'll turn 52 there this September. It kinda feels like Free Dining is Disney's birthday gift to me!

I've spent several birthdays in WDW. Most recently, I rang in my 21st birthday in Vegas!

My most memorable birthday was my 11th. My family was moving from Washington to South Carolina. We were driving through Knoxville, Tennessee. 55mph, a cake from the grocery store freezer dept, 11 lit candles and total darkness. :thumbsup2 My dad would barely stop driving for us to go use the bathroom, so a cake was definitely not going to stop him.

I celebrated my birthday on my honeymoon :). Last June I celebrated my 50th at WDW-my daughter and I visited all 4 parks that day and didn't go to sleep until about 2 a.m.:cool1:

I have had 2 birthdays at WDW, Youngest DS had his 16th birthday at WDW, DGD had her 3rd birthday at WDW!:goodvibes

For my 40th birthday we were on a camping trip in northern Michigan and the upper peninsula. The day of my birthday we went over to Mackinaw Island on the ferry, and spent the night at The Pines Bed & Breakfast. This was the second time we'd stayed on the island overnight, it is just such a neat experience to hear only horses clip clopping down the street and especially after most of the tourists leave the island.

The bed wasn't comfortable at all, it sagged heavily in the middle so we didn't sleep well and we were up by 5:00 a.m. so decided to take a bike ride around the island. It was so quiet, hardly anyone was around. The downtown street was completely deserted except for one street cleaner. It was kind of neat to see.

We spent the day of my birthday on the island, and had a great lunch at one of the downtown hotels on the water. Toured the governor's mansion and saw Gov. John Engler on the back porch, DH called his name so I was able to get a nice picture of him waving at us. :) Then we took the ferry back to Mackinaw City and continued with our camping trip.

It was a great birthday!!
