I saw in the news that Hubble very recently suffered a major failure. The October 14th launch was a Hubble servicing mission. At this point, I think the mission is scrubbed until they figure out what is wrong with Hubble, and determine if they are still going to fix it and have time to train for the "new" repairs that will have to happen.

The NASA website now shows the launch date as "under review."

We just happened to be staying at FW during a night launch. We caught it from near Space Mountain. I used my digital to take a video. Poor quality, but you can get the idea.

Back in the '70's we were in Kissimee in our pre-RV days and stopped in a small mot_l (cheap and pink colored). We got up one morning and saw on tv there was going to be a launch. We watched it on a small black and white set with lots of snow. Then went outside and saw people sitting in lawn chairs watching it live.
